@michaelpriest You have no ear for music. This woman can't sing anymore, barely. And she murdered this song, and made it painful to listen to! Her phrasing is horrible. She is not a natural with singing. She can sing the old sixties songs, that's it. Her hag like shrieking is awful! And who the hell chose that hat for her??

She has gotten older you know and she cant produce the young sound like she did back in the 60s, but she still has soul and that was a real performer singing about what she use to go through back in the days of racism. so i agree let freedom ring from aretha's vocal chords....

I think they should have gotten a better performer to sing...She blew the song! It sounded like complete garbage! Jennifer Hudson or Jazmine Sullivan would have done a much better job.
