What it does, however, is down the difficulty and realism, adds lock-on (a well placed criticism from some people, though some rightfully say this problem actually ADDS more realism. Crappy camera is still NO EXCUSE.) and an actual STORY. Still, MH has more variety and is longer lasting. If Bandai Namco can address BOTH, Capcom has a little problem on its hands...
@ES21007 There is a reason nearly every one in Japan plays Monster Hunter, and not God Eater Burst. GEB is a great game, but is no where near the level of Monster Hunter. In a game like this, it's ALL about variety. And realism is the point of Monster Hunter. Oh look, I just used a demonic blade to eat a monster and gain look or; Oh look, I actually have to carve out of the monster to gain loot and actually feel like I'm hunting these beasts. The only area GEB wins in, is Story. That is all.
That is a point I really agree with. GE really has no choice but to be different though, give them that. And that's why I'm saying IF they address the problems they have, they can be a (semblance) of a competitor. Because there's little chance they can unseat MH.
Actually, the problems I'm talking about are lastability and gameplay variety. They're already bringing in a Spear form and a Hammer Form in, but that's still to little for variety. Lastability? Well, we'll wait and see...

This game is amazing I play it all the time. This game plays just like monster hunter. God eater isn't really as in depth as monster hunter but it sure throws a nice twist into the genre, so if u don't like monster hunter than this game isn't for you. But other wise this game is awesome, I love the game play and epic battles, extremely challenging enemies, you really have to utilize the gun and the sword. something I don't like is that there is no armor, I mean I know anime and anime style game

@redshirts23 So just because a game has a good ending, it automatically means it would make a good anime? 1) It wouldn't work, as the main character is the player, one of the BIGGEST plot points, and has no set appearance or gender. 2) The game is mostly grinding for money and loot, which doesn't make for a good plot. The entire story of GEB could be done in as little as 3 to 4 episodes, which also doesn't make for a good anime series. Good opening song/animation =/= would make a good anime.
I like the game and the intro, but I just can't get past the fact that x is jump... xD I'm used to monster hunter's not jump that I forget that jumping is in this game and well I screws me over. Overall though it's just as fun as monster hunter, plotwise I've nothing to say in that aspect since I'm not playing this game for story. But so far it reminds me of PSP2. Yeah kinda the same thing. xD

"Gods Eater is so much better because it has a plot."? I've got news for you. The plot is KINDA NOT ALL THAT GREAT, and the fact that you can't really make character choices to influence it just makes it all the worse. What's the point of customizing a character and picking a snappy voice with some excellent attitude if all he ever does is nod and agree with everything everyone says ever?

@zudowoodo Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I like this game, but I also happen to be a huge Monster Hunter fan. I can't stand people who diss it because it doesn't have enough 'plot' for them. Monster Hunter is not an RPG story. It's a simulation. It's you and you either kick monster ass or you don't.

@natchu96 i know lol. one thing i loved about this game, the fact that everything was explained in a way that made sense. and the few things that were kinda sketchy, were sketchy to the ppl in the game. so either way, your just as knowledgeable as if you lived in that universe so to speak.
its just a game like Lord of Arcana. its gameplay is almost the same also with monster hunter but monster hunter is enjoyable too because even it has no anime scenes or story, it has so much higher gameplay than this game. you get to choose 12 weapons of your choice + environment + big bad mobs + cats swarming you and their originality makes the game cool! :D
Hey does anybody know if this game is easy and accesible? I played Monster hunter, and that was as hard as hell. And Lord of Arcana was pretty much lying about it's difficulty (It was easy at first, than BAM bahamut in chapter 3 out of 9)
@Dudinator123 yes, its fun as hell to, ive only played one monster hunter so i cant compare it to that, but in some of the scenes youl see them taking out large aragami (large are essentially what everuy single mission wants you to do) in like one swipe of the chainsaw, well no, you have to work with your teamates to do it fairly quick, maybe if your do it pretty average a 2-3 minute fight. but smaller aragami are easy as shit.

@StickyJinAdmin Can't really call him an Aragami >_> he had the bias factor implanted in him before he was even born so he can give off the factor without having an injected like the other characters, to control the God Arc. Thus a Born God Eater. If anything he is a little bit of a lab rat. Though it would explain why Shio has a natural attraction to him. Also, I could have gotten the term wrong but thats the main jist.

if someone dont know i explain : when you finish rank 6 or 7 idk mission and open burst storyline your intro willbe updated and scenes like Vajratail in Fenrir and last boss anime look willbe seen like in this one.

@burningriza360 As far as I remember, the definition of anime is a Japanese animation, often having a science fiction theme and sometimes including violent or explicitly sexual material. Is the opening movie of GE not following this definition?

@burningriza360 sorry bout that let me explain, at the beginning of the video there is a pale guy/gal looking at earth he/she is an aragami. the guy with the hodie and white hair is soma HE IS NOT AN ARAGAMI you can say hes sorta like a 2nd main character. the guy with the black hair lindow hes not an aragami either he is also like a 2nd main character. your character is the main character hes not in the video. sorry if i misslead. you if you want know more go the the god eater wiki

@StickyJinAdmin Can't really call him an Aragami >_> he had the bias factor implanted in him before he was even born so he can give off the factor without having an injected like the other characters, to control the God Arc. Thus a Born God Eater. If anything he is a little bit of a lab rat. Though it would explain why Shio has a natural attraction to him. Also, I could have gotten the term wrong but thats the main jist.

I enjoy monster hunter more because of the gameplay, the controls are better and so are the graphics. but there's something in GOD EATER BURST that's not in monster hunter, and no it's not only a story like rather it's fun
monster hunter are for people who played the first MH to MH tri
but if you're not a fan of MH then you'll come to appreciate GOD EATER BURST more.

GEB is fun becuase it has a story but it doesnt have the level of You have teammates that you can use on any mission and you can faint as many times as you want.
