I actually always liked Warren Cuccurullo better than Andy Taylor.Andy did some great work on the early 80's Duran Duran stuff but when Warren started playing on the Notorious Album-Pop Trash Era I prefered the innovative direction the songs were going in.This Song Fning Rocks!!!
I grew up with Duran from a 7 year old. Andy was great, but he didnt wanna be in the band and all he ever did was annoy me after that. Warren was and is a fantastic player. He brought his unique skill and style to the band, more importantly he relished it. You only have to watch Dom to see he has that same commitment and desire to play in the band and enjoys being there, he`s also a terrific guitarist. I miss Warren but now is Doms time and he`s doing a great job, long may it continue!
if they hadnt of reformed the end was so near,as much as they can play live, everyone was falling apart ,fans were losing interest and the shows were basic.people shouldnt blame or have a pop at dom now he does do a great job.but people miss andy and warren.
it's a shame that this album is so good and underrated..DD had their worst moment live in 2000..Simon lost his voice in several concerts, specially in New Moon on Monday at HOB.
Great album, but the band was falling apart with the flop of this material.
Duran's best years, the 90's...and nobody listened. "The Wedding Album" through "Pop Trash", each album evolving this group musically, each album more daring than the last...then we get "Astronaut"? No doubt a fine commercial work, but a let down after years of having progressed so well. Goes to show you, when you lose THE progressive, guitar virtuoso of the group it's hungry like the #@%^ing wolf all over again! A million thanks, Warren. You're sorely missed.
Forgot to mention, I saw the Pop Trash tour.. great sound, but the style just wasnt there. For one, it was just Simon and Nick R, and just didnt feel like the same Duran Duran. Still a great record though.
Great song. Just saw them the other night here in NJ. I do wish they would have included this song. Pop Trash definitely had some great songs on it! Nevertheless, they were great to see again.
Agreed: Warren Cuccurullo was SO underrated, sadly by their own fans. My favorite albums from DD remain the Wedding album and Medazzaland, and I realize that Warren had a lot to do with it. I don't give a crap what he did outside of the band (the controversial stuff...): fact is, he cared about the music and is an awesome guitarist. Cheers, Warren!! (and Nick; I like Nick a lot ;) :D)
Aw, just looking at the video and seeing Wes Wehmiller in it is so sad.... For those of you who don't know, Wes is the guy all in black playing the bass; he played bass for the live band around this time, and passed away a few years back. RIP Wes Wehmiller, man.
I love the whole Pop Trash album.... my favs are this one, Someone Else Not Me (great video, too), Lava lamp, Hallucinating Elvis and one of my top songs, The Last Day On Earth. Love that! :-)
For me, Medazzaland and Pop Trash are Duran Duran's best albums. By the time Pop Trash was released tha band (or what was left of it) was writing and performing whatever they wanted. This song should have been a single.
i love this song! this, someone else, and starting to remember. they should take the best from medazzaland and the best from pop trash and release it.

>DD had their worst moment live in 2000.. but the band was falling apart
i notice now lack of John was big damage to the band.
DD is just like some kind of unit.
But thanks to that, they came down near to us which we could enjoy.
(i was just surprised to know DD still exist back then)
