  • @iluvmcdreamy93 Well you have women in one compartment and men in the other. 1 Chief and 2 Petty Officers are in charge of the women and 1 c/2 p.o. are in charge of the men. They sometimes switch though...so you have to respect them all.

  • not to be nasty or anything...im going to be serious......how is it like for women and there menstrual cycle ...do the officers give you so slack or do they just don't care

  • @mizladiilushusz I have posted info on my 9th or 10th vid about this but to be honest, although sometimes it seems that they don't care they just want to get what needs to be done, done. In my div, we all bought pads/tampons...put it in the bathroom and everyone took one when it was their turn.

  • do u think this applies to becoming a correctional officer?

  • @copnite12342 I couldn't answer that. But you really do get a lot of experiences in the military that help towards life, careers, etc.

  • I'm joining the navy and I don't have a contract yet so I'm still waiting on one and it has been well over a month... But I know this is what I want... But I am really really really nervous for bootcamp... I feel like Im going to make tons of mistakes and try will be in my face all the time... Any advice to help get me over my nervousness?? And I'm a girl btw.. And coming straight out of high school.. I'll be graduating this June.. So I need huge help to get me over my nervousness...

  • @andreacruz0792 Well the best thing that I can say is to keep your head up and stay positive. Remember this is your future. Just ask yourself: Am I going to let nervousness stand in the way?

Here is some advice...I PROMISE you, you will not be the only one who will be nervous or have some kind of weakness (examples: run, swim, etc...). You WILL make mistakes, everyone does. The biggest suggestion that I can make is to stay away from the RDC's. Keep clear from them so they don't focus on you.

  • hey why dont you redo this video. you have good information but so much useless information too. The first 3 mins could be summed up into do research and be committed.

  • I wanted to join the Air Force but my dad is sending me to join the normal Army :(

  • its not his choice its yours lol he cant make you join a service grow a pair

  • I'm thinking of joining the U.S. military, but I'm not sure which branch would fit me. Air Force is probably not the one, I'm thinking of Navy or Army. I'm also a woman, so can you give me a little overview of women in the army? Were there a lot of you?

  • hows the food in the navy did they feed you well while you were there?

  • It actually wasn't too bad. They had regular food....even snacks in some cases. However, you had 3 meals a days. No more, no less. You normally know what you will eat that day...they have a schedule of that posted before you go chow. The food is normally a little bit healthier...not all but a lot. Now all divisions are different. Ours was real strict and would prohibit...or rather encourage us to eat healthy. Other divs didn't care and I saw people not eating great. Don't talk at chow!

  • Why did you get discharged?

  • I'm "pre-diabetic".

  • @alwayssmiling62 I am sorry to hear that. How did they discover that you are pre-diabetic?

  • @alwayssmiling62 I am sorry to hear that. Why didn't the Navy discover that you were Pre-Diabetic when you went to MEPS? Did they run different tests on you? I am asking this question because my son just left for Great Lakes, IL. He wants to be in the Navy more than anything, and I would feel so bad if they found something wrong with him after all he went through to get in.

  • @s4andy63 Thanks, You know I wondered the same thing. I asked and asked but they never gave me a straight answer. It kind of wasted my time but I was actually glad that I got to experience that...so it wasn't too bad. Yes, all kinds of tests. Just stay positive. Good luck to him, I'm sure he will be fine. Sorry I don't get on here much but will have to start because I have a lot of comments. :)

  • Finally, a woman from navy! I've been looking for females serving, most of the websites that I go to are usually advices for dudes. Thanks for posting the video!

  • @f4roxmysox Sure, thanks!

  • If you smoke weed at any time period might stop you from joining.

  • what do you mean by branches

  • as in Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guards

  • Im trying to survive football camp so if she has tips on survivng bootcamp exercises

  • Hey, I have a question. This year I started to smoke and drink. I only tried weed once. I am planning on stopping to drink and smoke. I still lift weights though. Would I Pass the medical exam?

  • this year no, next year maybe, 2 years from the time you smoked pot yes. remember its a one time pass or fail test you get only one chance. oh yea and theyll test you 5 times a year too. if u test positive youll get fired and never ever be rehired.

  • I guess you should make a commitment. Actually change your lifestyle. and give some time to be healthy.

  • I have to agree with yxa86. Try to change your lifestyle. Trust me....the military is DEFINITELY a whole new lifestyle. You DO have to be committed to the new change.

  • Yeah, I quite smoking but can't seem to quite drinking even though I drink rarely. But, thanks for the reply everyone.

  • It's only 1 month... don't listen to the guy who said two years. And 2 1/2 weeks for drinking.

  • as long as you can pass a piss test, look at my vids there not buttered up. there more realistic.

  • 3:47 i love that website!

  • good vid

  • i like your points for joining the navy i have a mixture of all those points.
