I only heard "amerikaner" the first time, not the captain. Im sure they made a mistake and still meant "amerikaner" not "amerikana" since these germans actually have a near flawless german, so i doubt that such a mistake could happen.So gave him the wrong name, but not a spanish one.

Also, "amerikaner" spoken out loud, in german, sounds like "amerikana" and thats definite.
