  • I have honestly never thought of spraying fragrance in my bath. Ill have to try.

  • Also! I'm wondering what you think of Byredo Pulp?

  • @digablegold1 Fruity fruity fruity in such a bright, juicy candy way. It gets a bit more tame and shampoo-y as it dries down.

  • I blindly bought a mini bottle of Agent Provocateur, I like the rosy musk but find it sharp, a bit like medicine. I came across the DD version recently and I'm wondering whether it would be a good idea to pick it up. Do you have any suggestions?

  • @duskangel101 They smell the same, DD just has sparkles.

  • I'm sorry to request something so silly and typical, but could you possibly do a "most complimented fragrance" video?

  • @FM897 I'll give it a think.

  • I am planning to buy AG perfume, which virgin do you prefer the most [ im like you i love dark perfumes and subtle at the same time ]

    Agent Provocateur edp

    Eau Emotionnelle

    Maitresse

    L'Agent

i dont want the DD Edition because of sparkles

  • @A7laQ6ri They're all wonderful, but I think you'll really enjoy L'Agent.

  • Im not a sltaker O_o, lm just doing a marathon of your vids. Im REALLY liking your vids and sence of humor. Take care Love =)

  • @missmakeupnerd I'm so glad! Thanks!

  • @brokenblackbakarat Oh, I love that linguistic insight! L'Ombre Fauve might indeed refer to a color and not a "shadow animal". Thanks for untangling my French.

  • Oh how I'm dying to get Agent Provocateur...just lacking the funds right now. I've just been through a breakup and thinking it's time for my inner vamp to come out hehe

  • Agent Provacateur is the sometimey one of my collection. I love it in general and feel quite distinguished when I'm wearing it. It's almost in my comfort category and I'm assuming that's bc someone I knew during childhood wore something similiar. anyway....depending on where I am on the 'calendar' this is great or a bit too musky attic. Only one of my collection that does this.

  • @xandria20 AP is usually considered a va-va-skank number, or at least a ripe, womanly smell. Interesting that it borders on the comfort category for you.

  • the more i watch your videos the more addicting they are ha

  • @tinkabellastar Ha! Just like smelling perfume is....

  • @19myself91 A fantastic sweet-ish coffee one is New Haarlem by Bond No. 9.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells thank you!

  • hi katie. do you have any idea where I can find the perfume, agent provacateur? I live in Canada, btw.

  • @janiekendle Check the AP website for shop locations. AP is easily found online, too.

  • How do you decide what to put on? I get stressed out sometimes looking at my little collection; I want to wear them all!

  • @bookreviewfamily I tend to have about 7 or so perfumes in high rotation, and grab something out of those. If nothing strikes my fancy, I look at my whole collection, sniff the caps of a couple of things, and then something will pop out at me.

  • I was looking for an earthy chypre and recently bought a 70's classic: Coriandre by Jean Couturier. I'm ambivalent about it at the moment; at first sniff it's kind of wonderfully bohemian and masculine and herbaceous and sexy, but then it goes wonky and I smell like a gang of aging hipsters at an Arcade Fire show. That aside, I've seen many 'fume bloggers compare AP to Coriandre. Thoughts? :) (I'm hoping you might have sniffed the latter since you so love the former.)

  • @AdoreWL One million years ago, I wore Coriandre for a bit in high school, and really loved it. To this day, I adore rose chypres, & immediately felt a kinship with Agent Provocateur. When I read the comparison between AP and Coriandre in "Perfumes: The A-Z Guide", it immediately clicked as accurate. I've not smelled the latest formulation of Coriandre, but the one of my memory strikes me as drier, less "musky lady smell" than AP. But they both are mossy roses that start off sharp, then mellow.

  • Hi Katie,

I just like to say, great perfume collection, wow! Im not really good at picking perfumes, and I really cant smell much after a few hours... so Ive gotten a tip or two, so I like the pleasant smells that (last).

but thank you for the video, but I just wonder, will you come with a list of those later.. some of them are hard to spell if I try to listen... then so hard for me to find.

Thanks again for the great video collection there, very fun to watch.

    Bernice

  • Bernice, the perfume names are in the description pull-down box below the video. Glad you're enjoying the reviews!

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells :D geez, I hadnt seen that.. thank you sooo very

    much, you are great :)

  • Katie I've heard that! When people go to Alaska, when they go on hikes they are advised to not wear anything scented including deodorant because its been known to attract Grizzlies.

  • @girl123interrupted That's it, exactly! Wild animals are drawn to spicy/musky scents. Makes sense, since musk is based on the smells animals produce to communicate sexual readiness. Ulp! I'm going fume-free on hikes from now on.

  • i like u

  • Awesome job! Do you know of Which Byredo Parfum would be good on a young man maybe..?? Besides Gypsy Water? It smells good.. Thanks!!

  • @Shortay2286 Every single one from Byredo would work for guys, except perhaps La Tulipe, unless you're a commented full-on flower lover. All the others are varying combos of woods and musks and aromatic notes that are "guy accessible".

  • Hi I would like to know where can I purchase (Byredo Gypsy Water). I don't seem to find it anywhere online... Thanks

  • @loly5471 I got mine from Barneys - and I see it's on their website.

  • Loveee your videos...If you want a tip to buy cheaper perfumes you can go on fragrancex(dot)com and fragrancenet(dot)com, they sell a lot of testers too...Hope I helped you make your collection even bigger..Hugs from Brazil

  • hi katie! i recently stumbled upon Rose D'Homme by Les Parfums De Rosine. Well when i say stumbled, i actually mean found out about it via the net; and i need to know what this brand is like, and how long lasting their eau de parfums are. Rose D'homme is one of few 'male' fumes that are eau de parfum and before I try and buy it, can you please tell me what its like and how 'rosey' it is? The more intense the better! thankyou!

  • @FuturisticXXL It's been a while since I've smelled that one, but I remember it as nice - and all the Rosines have good staying power. I don't recall that it was particularly rose-heavy -- I'd characterize it as more of a woody rose blend. More rose-forward scents include Amouage Lyric for Men (gorgeous spiced green rose incense), L'Artisan Parfumeur Aedes de Venustas (incensey/myrrhy rose) and By Kilian Rose Oud (rose oud, duh!) All 3 last forever on the skin.

  • Hi Katie - you really dio have great product knowledge! And I love your presentation!

  • @thesoapmaker1 Thank you!

  • wow you are good at describing smells and you have lots of perfumes

  • Perhaps you should try a Classic called " Sublime " by Jean Patou. It's STUNNING ! Try and let me know what you think, bye now...

  • @MrWanderful1979 I don't see Sublime around in my local haunts, unfortunately. Shall keep my peepers peeped.

  • @MrWanderful1979

It is a " Rare Find " really, but Saks Fifth Ave & Nordstroms sells it, you MUST try it. It's really beautiful. I hope this helped, trust me, I'm a Man, and this is sexy, sexy, sexy stuff with a ton of class ! Men love Ladies with it on, but not many can afford it, so as you see it's a very prestige Fragrance by Patou. Hope you can try it, Enjoy...

  • @MrWanderful1979 Oh, okay, I'll check it out at Saks.

  • I loved seeing your amazing collection! Thanks for sharing! I have so enjoyed seeing your adoration to each and every "baby" in your collection. It's so obvious you love what you do. I feel the same way about my collection. Thank you for making these videos; we "fumeheads" appreciate them and share your love for this art.

  • @MikeNY911 That's nice to hear! Thanks indeed.

  • have you ever smelled spirit by Antonio Bandares? If so, what is your opinion on it? and do you know what scents are in it?

  • @amybabexo Haven't smelled that one...

  • that's good to know 'bout the panthers! lol I love the rich dark or spicy ones too, I love the feel of mystery & vampiness, even tho I'm a nice girl, in the right situations it's fun to go the other extreme! You are hilarious & informative, good job!

  • @lisaandtheword Thanks, milady! I agree that it's fun and stimulating to wear perfumes "against type".

  • "crusty nooks and crannies" Bwaahhh-haa-hhaaaaah!!!

I tried Gypsy Water last summer and it didn't really send me...but in general love your choices, as I am fond of woods, spice, amber, incense, etc. Been wanting to try Parfums Rosine--guess it is time to jump in. I found a very old, sealed bottle of Habanita and, looking at how dark the juice is, am almost afraid to open it. Love those rich, Queen of Sheba perfumes--keep 'em coming! Hugs,

  • @missduck9 Gypsy Water isn't the most exciting perfume, but it's very easy and comforting. More like a "Princess of Sheba" than the full-on Queen.

  • the most ive had in my collection is like 50 something...now i dont have as many..my daughter is also into perfume thanks to me..(shes 5) lol..so when i finish she wants the bottle! i posses more of the reg perfumes, nuttin from france, italy etc..one day i will.. katie any suggestions where i can get samples mailed to me?

  • @realfam1969 For indie (niche) lines, LuckyScent and Aedes are great. Also, the manufacturers will sometimes send out samps of their perfumes if you contact them directly.

  • Hey K.T. I think you'll like this one: Agent Provocateur Strip - T. J. Maxx - $7.00. How bout that for thrifty? Also, I hope its ok if I refer to you as my Perfume Guru, because you are.

  • @dazigg Sure, I'll be your PG. Great deal at TJ Maxx!

  • Hey K.T. I think you'll be proud of this one: Agent Provocateur Strip - T.J. Maxx - $7.00. How bout that, Oh Might Perfume Guru?

  • Thanks Katie and please keep em coming!!! :)

  • I have several AG frags, including PS and Qual Amore (sp) and none have turned yet. The QA us about 5 yrs old and the Ps a good 4 yrs old. I keep all my yummy juice in a dark, cool closet (sounds kinky!) and they seem to last forever.

  • Katie, I spritz for any occasion. I always spray down before any and all bicycle rides. I love leaving vapor trails where ever I ride. Many times I'll wear Patchouli Patch, Idole de Lubin, Guerlain Vetiver, Art of Shaving Sandalwood or just about anything from the 98 bottles of awesome funk I possess.

  • You are so funny with a naughty twist!

"10 year olds working in Vagus" and "panther play thing" lol

  • My all time favorite is CK One. Do you have any suggestions for other scents I might like?

  • Katie, have you tried Keiko Mecheri's Bois de Santal?

  • lovely beautiful sweet excellent fragrance upload.

    I love Perfume's. Thanx 4 the tipp's.

My favourite upload, sure with pleasure.

  • OH, and you posted earlier that fragrances should last if properly stored. I found that not to be true with Annick Goutal's perfume. They turn musty within a year. Has anyone else experienced that. Even her edt. And there is no way I got a bad batch...it was from Galeries Lafayette!

  • @nycballerina That's a very good point. It's more correct of me to stress that a perfume's shelf life depends on the perfume. I have heard more than once that Annick Goutal's fumes don't last in the bottle. Apparently, Petit Cherie is notorious for turning in under a year.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Yes Katie!!!! It WAS Petite Cherie!!! And boy did it turn in about 8 months..turns into a really dusty smell (this was this edt). I bought the edp from Galeries and I thought it smelled dusty right away! Annick Goutal...not again!!

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Hey Katie I love you so much and this collection because its Rose collection. I just got a sample of the Amouge Lyric for men and I thought - its like a fresh smelling Arabian Guy who rubs rose petals on his body- Thanks for the recommendation but I still love my Le Labo Rose 31 Rose 31 is more masculine than the lyric. Just got Le labo Labdanum and the smell was like over exaggerated talcum powder- still testing on that one might love it thanks I love u Fumehead Queen!

  • You know, I've always been curious what you thought about perfume houses claiming certain celebrites wear their fragrance...and CREED always comes to mind. I swear, Audrey Hepburn couldn've worn Spring Flowers..no matter what CREED says. I

  • @nycballerina I always take those Creed claims with a grain of salt. Especially the really olden days ones.

  • Katie, I don't want these perfume collection videos to end (you should get more perfumes to enlarge your collection, LOL).

A few days ago my husband got me Idylle by Guerlain and I love it. Have you tried it yet? I wish I could describe scents the way you do. Love you.

  • @DafneCloe Oooh, what a nice present! Idylle starts off a bit innocent and floral and gets more complex and musky as it moseys along.

  • oh my Agent P. and Ambers, you must try Agent Provocateur Strip! Sultry and kind of smokey best describes this one with plenty of amber. You may just like it and a review would be great.

  • @MarkLady13 I've liked it when I've tried it...but was always preoccupied with the Provocateurs. Must revisit...

  • I try to write down all the perfumes I like from your description - or the way you describe them. So last week at the airport in Switzerland I asked them to show me something new, something I haven't tried yet, that's a bit manly and ambery, and I got D&G - La roue de la fortune... Go have a sniff, if you haven't! I walk around now smelling like an Indian incense store!

  • @Miriam89 I like that one - it's different without being too crazy.

  • OMgosh I want to sniff them Aaallllll! There are so many in your collection that I can't wait to come across ;-)

  • @kokolaroo I did get a little carried away with my collecting...

  • Your voice is so relaxing.. I could listen to you all day..

  • @GeminiAGogo I'm going to tell my husband you said that. That'll fix his wagon!

  • darling my friend is always throwing the bottles caps,I noticed that some of your bottles has no cups too, he is doing this in purpose, but are you? and I really like Molinard perfume,I am a smoker(like the Flappers) ,so I will try it LOL

and by the way,for me you look more glorious and adorable than Queen of Sheba

    Love you sooooo much

  • @koka84peecha You are too sweet! To answer your question, some of my perfumes have no caps because they are testers - like my bottle of Creed Angelique Encens. I should have mentioned that.

  • How long does perfumes generally last?

  • @4032111 If you store them away from light and heat, they'll last for years and years. Pretty much as long as you're interested in them!

  • I understand your hiking perfume problem, I am one of those people who will put perfume on just when I am going outside to get the mail.

  • @voicesofmayhem Haha - going to the mall is probably the one time I *don't* wear perfume, because I know I'll be trying some on when I get there!

  • I THINK they're dancing! You're so funny! Thanks it's a pleasure to watch (and listen of course!) Sunshine! Mia :)

  • i've wanted habanita molinard for a long time so i just gave in and ordered it, i can't wait to get it :)

  • whahaha after your 'Vegas or 10 year old'-comment, I really want to check out Agent Provocateur Diamond Dust xD Now I'm curious^^

  • You are hands down the best youtube personality. I love your videos! And thanks for bringing back that funky public television filming! And you have the most dedicated fan base, they leave you super awesome long comments lol

  • @sakuraness Haha "public television"...yep I still have some cable access vids in the pipeline.

Thanks for your great comments! And you're so right that the fumeheads here leave sparky, fun and thought-provoking comments. I learn a lot from you all.

  • saffron is amazing.

I love when i cook with it, and I love it in scents.

one of my favorite scents, along with violets and cedar.

  • às always, love love loveeeed the video. 5 stars!

  • "ooooooohhhhhhhhhh Oliban" love this section, just wonderful. You are so cute and descriptive.

  • Hi Katie, I am a new subscriber.

You say you like amber, musky and dark scents.

So I'd like to recommend my all time favorite perfume.

    The original Omnia by Bulgari

    It is amazing :)

  • @ilovechristopher420 Oh yeah, that's a cool one! I should review that sometime.

  • Please review the Kim Kardashian perfume. thank you for the review.

  • "Manly, Yes! But I like it, too!"

My "good" fumes are "men" scents. I gravitate more to them! Still eeeking out My Ormande Man.

    Hi Katie!

Still reading... I know I'm kinda slow.

    Elizabeth~

  • @Gevedon Oh that's great that O-Man gives you the eeks (in a good way).

  • I've seriously been *waiting* for this next installment! Thx!! Some of these fragrances are totally new to me. Very exciting!!!

  • OMG KATIE I'm sooo jealous! I loved how u describe Agent Provocateur :)

  • I just love your videos! Where did you get that Angelique Encens in the regular Creed bottle? I've only seen it in those honking 8 oz. bottles!

  • @Voyeur53 I LUCKED out on eBay!!! I had just hear that Angelique Encens was discontinued, and found a tester that morning on eBay. Which is more than enough for me...I'd never get through one of those huge Costco-sized bottles.

  • 'Dirty minded lady with f**k me shoes', love the description, he,he!! You are so good at describing scents, it's as good as it gets without being smell-o-vision. Thank you Katie I get a real kick out of your channel. :)xx PPS: Do you know of Pasha by Cartier, a masculine fragrance that's too good just for the boys I say and what other fragrances, if you do know it, have that je n'ai sai quoi going on!

  • I love the sound of that last perfume - the one from the twenties that women were supposed to spray on their cigarette papers. It reminds me of one my Grandmother wore. I can't remember the name of it. It was a smoky, spicy scent and I think came in a black bottle. It seemed so sophisticated to my childish nose.

  • I wonder how it was learned that wild cats loved spicy scents. I see them all lined up at a perfume bar, their tails twitching, as they sniffed various scents. Then the spicy fragrances are trotted out and they go NUTS! Yes, by all means, resist wearing them when you hike so you don't take the chance of attracting the wrong kind of cat.

  • @ALPHADELTACAPPA Cute image of big cats at the perfume counter. The reality was still pretty cute, watching the leopards at the wild cat sanctuary tearing into cardboard boxes spritzed with YSL Opium! Less cute was seeing them walking around with entire watermelons in their mouths, since it seemed to easy to imagine one with my watermelon head in his jaws....

  • @MACwishin2 Ha-ha, swimming with perfume - you've topped me there!

  • I had a cat that went crazy for the smell of Bengay... lol. My Aunt used it her shoulders & he wents nuts. Not clawing, but just rubbing & giving love... lol. He wouldn't leave her alone! I wonder if wild cats would be into it too? :)

  • @KittyJoe34 I'm sure they would. I found out that wild cats love spicy perfume on a visit to a big cat sanctuary in the California desert. For a special treat, the caretakers sprayed YSL Opium on cardboard boxes, and these gorgeous panthers and bobcats started nuzzling and gnawing the boxes like they were kitties loved up on catnip!

  • Love this never ending collection video.Lol....

  • @TheGolden73 One distant day it will finally end...

  • Hmm, I'd like to know what cologne Bob Ross wore. I watched him paint for years, but I always wanted to know. I tend to go floral in the Spring. It's like coming out of a Winter cocoon, and we need something different.

  • i like your normal voice like thattt =]

  • i JUST LOVE YOUR VIDEOS... DON'T STOP...

  • I agree that I can definitely smell a difference in both the Agent Provocateurs. The sparkly one is much bolder to me (:

  • @iloveyewallsomuch Ya know...?!

  • haha Hi I'm Queen of Sheeba and I smell! You're a riot! Now i'm curious to smell all of these.

  • crusty nooks and crannies LOL

    :)

  • You are so cute an funny...I just love listening to you talk. It's like your a friend talking to me about your favorite perfumes. Thanks for sharing the great information.

  • @livegorgeouslygreen I do feel like I'm talking to friends when I do my vids, so I'm glad to hear that from you.

  • YAY, I have been waiting for part 4! It's funny, because I never wore perfume, and barely ever set foot in a perfume shop. But I love the way you describe fragrance, it's such an unusual experience. I'm now very curious about smelling all of these.

  • @tyhokan I'm gratified to know that your curiosity is stirred by watching these vids! Even if you're not a fragrance wearer, I think it really does enhance one's experience of the world to be aware all the smells around us - good and bad ones, perfume and natural ones.

  • I don't know if some one has already ask you this but when looking for new fragrances do you tend to go for certain type of bottles more or just try everything?

  • @BitterSweetPhoto I never go for the bottle at all. I just try everything. Though a lot of times, I do my online research, and I go to the shops to try specific things, and then branch out from there.

  • Thank you so much for the invite! :) Love your vids so far (you're so funny!) & I'm glad you are reviewing perfumes that not everyone has heard of. I'm looking forward to finding some of these & testing for myself.

  • Hey Katie

I was wondering if you know any kind of perfumes that smell like lily's?

  • lol katie 10 year old that work in vegas

  • Hahaha! You crack me up! The glitter is for 10 year olds working in Vegas. lol

  • You mentioned that you are into the incense + rose perfumes...I love the vanilla + incense perfumes... but now you have me wanting to try the ones you mentioned and branch out to the rose side of incense perfumes... you make them sound so wonderful! :)

  • I love your taste in fragrances. I too love incense, rose, and animalic scents but I also love oriental/gourmand fragrances. Have you tried Cadolle no9?

The contrast between light (roses) (citrus)and dark (incense) is fascinating and intriguing to me too. I have Agent Provocateur but I don't wear it too much I have to be in that Femme Fatale sort of mood lol. Andy Tauer has 2 gorgeous scents Incense Rose and Rose Chypre you would love too. (if you haven't tried them?)

  • @makeupcreator I do know all of Tauer's fragrances. I don't really "get" Rose Chypre yet - I need to keep visiting that one.

  • @makeupcreator Just read up on Cadolle No. 9 - sounds like something I need to try!

  • im glad u told us to thumbs up cuz honestly didnt know about that! haha

  • I love hearing you talk about your scents. You should do something like "Katie's Perfume Stories" where you just ramble about different scents.

Also, Korres makes some yummy rose-scented body products.

  • @JIovannone Ha-ha, "ramble" is the key word, here.

I love Korres lip glosses and lipsticks -- and their new perfumes are pretty good, too. I'll have to check out the body products.

  • @KatiePuckrikSmells Luck duck! I haven't been able to find their new perfumes anywhere. They have been sold out on the website forever! Poo!

  • Hello Katie you said you have more than 70 perfumes, can you give us a list of what those perfumes are. Your collection of perfumes are intriguing and wonderful. Maybe on your website or youtube channel.

  • @lanimar3417 Each one of my Perfume Collection vids has a list of the perfumes discussed in the description box, and there's also a blog entry for each vid with the list. Once I post the final vid (Part 5), I'll post the whole list on my blog. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Hi katie...Just wondering if you've tried Rose Poivree by The Different Company....I found a few bottles cheap and love the stuff...It's a very physical, dirty and peppery rose...X

  • @goldskin1970 I know it well! It's just as you described.

  • Interesting thing about Molinard Habanita.....perfume on cigarette papers! this made me chuckle :D

  • great video :) lol @ pope blend :P

  • I'm sad that this is already part 4 of 5. I wished you had 100 perfumes more. Eventhough you already have a very big gorgeous collection. xoxo

  • Great collection.

  • such a great series...can't wait for the next installment, thanku sooo much, katie!

  • you have such an amazing collection, i admire you for investing so much in your passion. i hope one day i will have as many as you do! thanks for doing these great videos, i really really love them!

  • Ive got this air scent thingy and it smells exactly like roses I think u can get it from bath and body works

  • watching your videos makes me want to go out and get a new perfume ^.^

oh and i can think of a perfume i think you might like: Cabochard by Gres

  • yay for the rose kick! : )

  • @persianbilli I've officially gone rose crazy. I bought a rose lip balm (Terry Baume de Rose) and hand lotion (Dr. Haushka) today.

  • love the vid. Katie would u ever consider doing a vid on the diff groups of fragrances and examples of scents in each one? Just wondered. Thank u. :)

  • @passionatereader77 That's a good idea! Thanks.

  • quick question i was once given a fragrance called goddess by marilyn miglin... would you happen to know where i can purchase it if it is still available?

  • @GlamGoldDiva Just a sugg u can try home shopping network. they carry her fragrances.

  • Love your videos. I, too, have been inspired by your enthusiasm and I ordered some decants. They came today, and I can't tell you how good they are.I have been able to access fragrances that I generally have no access for. I ordered a fragrance I wore ages ago, but can no longer find. The products I received are absolutely delicious - a pure, heady delight. Thank you for helping me to "sniff" outside the box! Keep up your wonderful work! Love watching!

  • @Bronwynswish That's so nice to hear that you've opened up your "smellscape". The Internet is truly your friend when it comes to tracking down these exotic specimens.

  • @Bronwynswish where can you order decants? i've been dying to try some fragrances and i find that the little samples are too small.

  • @miacrow2 The place I know for decants online is ThePerfumedCourt. Also, ReiRien sells decants.

  • katie you kick ass :) great vid

  • @XforeverlongingX Well thank you!

  • I have a L'Occitane rose fragrance and it is just that rose really easy to wear thought you may like t for when the Queen of Sheba has a day off lol :0) xxxJoolsxxx

  • @BarrysDaughter Haha - I shall investigate.
