    what???

    *slice*

  • excellent form on that wow

  • Can this sword cut an average rock?

  • @venanciomiki well, it cut an average tomato. i would say yes.

  • this would be a cool feature to a new Annyoing orange video :P

  • keep press this 0:18

  • Oh the huge manatee!

  • Hontoni sugoi

  • Nooo!! The tomato!! xD

  • how much it cost a real japanese sword??

  • The Japanese sword which a general person can purchase is around 10,000 dollars on an average.

The sword of a famous swordsmith is worth being more than 30,000 dollars.

The defect product is around 3000 dollars.

The sword which is cheaper than 2000 dollars is an imitation.

A large quantity of numerical imitations are scattered all over the world.

Please talk with a trustworthy expert by all means if you intend to purchase a genuine Japanese sword.

  • I already said

""A large quantity of numerical imitations are scattered all over the world.

Please talk with a trustworthy expert by all means if you intend to purchase a genuine Japanese sword. ""

If you aren't specialist in Japanese sword, you must become more careful.

There are an enormous number of the FAKE-Japanese in U.S.A.

  • Just get a cold steel

  • I've also seen authentic Nihonto for much cheaper then the prices marz12aug has suggested. Maybe antique blades will sell for tens of thousands of dollars, but you can definitely find modern, Japanese hand-made blades for less then $3000 USD.

  • Well you must agree that there are Immitations that actually HAVE some decent quality, of course they cant match a real Japanese Sword made by a good swordsmith, but they are just the Thing enthusiasts are looking for. Look at swordbuyers com to find out where to buy cheap swords wich will fit your interrests and pocket.

  • I wouldn't trust anything on the web for a true nihonto less than 10k. There is so much crap out there... if I wanted to purchase a traditionally made nihonto forged by a licensed smith (which I don't see the need for) I would visit the workshop myself. And even if I did have one, I probably wouldn't even use it in practice out of fear for damaging it, and the fact that I don't need one anyways.

  • play these videos in reverse. its awesome.

  • watch?v=yb9baMr9H5c&feature=channel_page

Machii-sensei let more terrible cutting succeed!

  • That's amazing.

  • I watched this on a slow speed computer line and of course it is in slow motion and the sword stroke and cut is not fake.

  • can u hack rubber band to a half?

  • Wolniej się nie da he xD

  • Anyone who says this is fake or altered obviously hasn't ever handled a 日本刀. If you had, you'd know anyone who can handle one, could do this.

  • Fake

  • HOOOOOLY SHIT

  • nice tomato!

  • Beautiful! What a perfect cut! ^_^

  • japanese swords are extremely compressed during its creation making it very hard and sharp

  • Japanese swords are also made of two different types of steel, generally soft and hard, melded together as a single bar of metal. after that it is folded, by hand smithing, for a number of times and then immediately dipped into cold water to harden it, the result is an extremely versatile blade that is is very sharp and hard because of the harder steel, but also shatter proof because the softer steel absorbs impact.

The only sword that can cut heads, and still slice a tomato!

  • this is our first process to make a BLT sandwich every morning

  • That's Japanese technology!!

  • The sword of Japan is quite different from another from the material to how to

    make.

  • Well, with this video being the Top Viewed result when searching for "Katana", maybe I can find an answer here... What company puts out quality katanas that I can buy? There are SO many for sale out there for $50, and they gotta be pieces of shit. Where would I buy a QUALITY katana? Anyone have a name or manufacturer? Not looking to buy anything ridiculous, just something I dont have to worry about breaking all day.

  • look for hattori hanzo

  • Funny how no one has an answer to my original question... just useless, smartass comments. Legitimate thanks to the users SwordBuyersGuide and Masahiro121, I just ordered my first Cheness Kaze.

  • aahhemmm... Where's the lettuce? Pickles?? How do you make a sandwich with just tomatoes?

  • i think you maybe need to test this on a few hoodies now that would be good

  • Nice..awesome what slow motion camera can do... Your ordinary kitchen knife will produce the same effect if not better because of how thin it is :D

  • yeah a kichen knife can do that beause its so thin but the katana is nearly 1cm thick but it can do the same thing cus its so sharp.

  • LOL its not 1cm thick... TRY 1/4 inch... 1cm is HALF AN INCH... dont be stupid... mabey 1/2 CM

  • Bra ti zaf rindi onto yaw. Xızır thawa to mekero...

  • that was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Next time try a ripe tomato, not one that's still green inside.

  • I think it would have been could to see it in realtime before slowmotion. But cool stuff :)

  • Good job with the video but you need to practice your technique because the whole tomato fell.

  • OMIGOTO !!!! Honto tsubarashi ....

  • Perfect! :)

  • Tomatoes are evil, they must be punished! did you know that if you put 10 victim cut tomatoes in a container with the very Katana that cut them all, and covered it up for a couple of years the tomatoes would win and the sword would be ruined and become a rusty stick! revenge of the Tomatoea ( warrior species of Tomato)
