Recently i become obsessed with an idea that Perfume is a flesh-and-blood vocaloid. They make vocaloidation of Nakata's pieces with him and are in live-action as substitute for vocaloid's CG.

Don't misunderstand: I never put down the Perfume project. I think it's working with an innovative idea and both Nakata's song and its expression by Perfume are something fabulous.

@shaelikestaquitos no its vocoder, which is a completely different thing.. vocoder is the microphone effect when their voice goes into the mic and comes out that way, its not the same effect as autotune. they are singing live, because lip syncing is illegal in japan.

@mcmooglet My mistake about the vocoder, but lip-synching is NOT illegal in Japan. It is illegal to sell tickets to a "live performance" and have it pre-recorded (i.e. a live performance which is entirely lip-synched), but it is NOT illegal for popstars to lip-synch in cases where they may be sick, or in cases where their dance performances may take a lot out of them. I thought they might be lip-synching because you see their mouths being not very close to the mic/heads bobbing up and down...

@mcmooglet Which usually would make the voice turn fainter, etc. I didn't mean for it to be lip-synching to begin with, and by autotuned I meant the vocoder (I didn't know the proper term and did not know autotune pertains only to pre-recorded stuff).

@moonlightfury101 because there is still a backtrack playing.. like with most live performances in pop music. but i can assure you they are not lip syncing because, as i said, its illegal in japan and perfume is very popular there.

What in the HELL are you talking about? Nobody messed up. And if it ever looks like they mess up in one of their dances, it's probably PART of the dance. Like in Dream Fighter when A~Chan lags when they all do that "Looking into the crystal ball" pose. Trust me. I've seen Kashiyuka fix her hair while dancing and she STILL came back into it like she owned it, which she did.

It's no error,Nocchi is singing in the middle,and Kashiyuka is in synch with A-chan at that moment.They do the same in many videos,but we are all Perfume fans so no problem ^v^
