Hands down the best time lapse on YouTube. I have tried to make a time lapse of this amazing city and I'll tell you it requires money, time and permissions to set up a tripod anywhere. My time lapse didn't turn out but at the same time is my really first one. Thanks for sharing this with the community.

Can you share any tips on how to get the seamless transition from day to night. I'm having problems getting the right exposure as it gets dark. Is this something to be done in post, or have you done it in camera?

Actually I've just had a listened to these guys via Amazon, and I have to say I'm not a fan of the vocals - but their instrumental work such as displayed on this video is fantastic.

Can anyone offer me some advice as to what to buy from them that is more like what's used in this video? Or maybe this is unique for them - in which case maybe it's on a great compilation?

Lastly - can anyone suggest any contemporary artists doing work similar to this in style?

They only have 4 albums. Their first album is called Leitmotif (1999) and is more like artsy nu metal. Their second album is their best (IMO and majority of fans I believe) El Cielo is the closest to this song but the vocals are more "operatic"(?). Try listening to "The Canyond Behind Her". Their next album, Catch Without Arms, is a lot different and is more pop/rock. This song is from their latest album, Pariah, Parrot, The Dilusion has a few other instrumental songs.

AND totally forgot, they did the score to the movie Waterborne, which is 100% all instrumenta like this song but obviously they are not as long as regular songs. And sadly, the soundtrack was never released.
