He sat out vs Denver because the Colts were locked into the #3 seed and had nothing to play for.

@0037300 For me, it's not so much about TD passes as it is about TD DRIVES. Manning orchestrated 59 TD drives in 2004 (49 passing, 10 rushing). Brady produced a whopping 67 TD drives in 2007 (50 passing, 17 rushing- including 2 rushing TDs by Brady). And those 17 rushing TDs by the Pats tells me that Brady was a lot more willing to get a score on the ground- while Manning preferred to pass for a TD.
Plus, when you consider Manning's creampuff schedule in 2004, Brady's 2007 is more impressive.

He says manning was the driving force behind that whole false play calling and code word system. Tom Moore actually contributed by coming up with the idea that the offensive line have its own calls with Howard Mudd so the offensive line can have a seprate set of code words for each call manning made.

But he also sat out 2 entire 4th quarters (vs Bears & Lions) and all but 2 minutes of another 4th quarter blowout (vs Titans). So if you added up all the minutes Peyton missed, it comes out to around 2 games- which still counts in his favor. He sat out vs Denver because the Colts were locked into the #3 seed and had nothing to play for.

@0037300 For me, it's not so much about TD passes as it is about TD DRIVES. Manning orchestrated 59 TD drives in 2004 (49 passing, 10 rushing). Brady produced a whopping 67 TD drives in 2007 (50 passing, 17 rushing- including 2 rushing TDs by Brady). And those 17 rushing TDs by the Pats tells me that Brady was a lot more willing to get a score on the ground- while Manning preferred to pass for a TD.
Plus, when you consider Manning's creampuff schedule in 2004, Brady's 2007 is more impressive.

In 03' 05' and 08' The Colts had the 11th ranked overall defense and they went one and done in the playoffs just like in 07' when they had the 3rd ranked overall defense.
Brady won a Ring with the 24th ranked defense in 01'.
The only year that Manning won the SB, the Colts had the 21st ranked overall defense. So apparently, a good defense is not what Manning needs to win a superbowl. He needs the team to Carry him in the playoffs like they did in 06'. That's what he needs. LOL

Manning would never be able to run a balanced offense, he likes stats more than he likes to win. SB44 proved that. With 5:35 left in the game, Manning stopped running the ball cause he wanted his stats, then he choked. The run worked for them all day, but Manning wanted his stats.

@zgamer200 just face it, if rex ryan and ray lewis who are defensive geniuses, say peyton is better... than guess what? he IS better. and when peyton ends his career, i could care less where they rank tom brady on a "top 100" list, because i know where peyton will be, still top 10. and he did it on his own, no one else helped him! he never had a great coach that knew how to cheat, a WR that was unstoppable, an O-Line that was unmovable, or a running game or defense etc. brady always has.

@ColtonSaylor713 You're ignorant if you think Manning never had help, he won his only Ring by riding the coat tails of his help. He had 3 TD's 7 Int's in four playoff games and still won the superbowl. NO QB in history has ever gotten that much help.
In 07' the Colts had the #3 ranked defense, and Manning choked in the first playoff game. That's a Great defense. In 2002 the Colts had the 8th ranked defense they finished 6-10.
In 2001 the Pats defense was ranked 24th and Brady won the SB.

@Pick6PeytonSB44 the pats are turn over machines, and in the playoffs (except for the last three years) they have had that machine working for them. colts are EXTREMELY lucky on their defensive triumphs in recent years, and saying peyton has help is an overstatement. his defense, once again, is ranked good only against the 20+ yard plays. know why? because they dont have to stop miracle plays because other offenses run all over them. good try though, but the colts run defense is dead last

@Pick6PeytonSB44 you throw around one statistic, and think that peyton is bad because the defense didnt have any pass attempts on them. but thats only because teams run the ball on us. once again, peyton had help in his superbowl run in the 06 playoffs. but it was a miracle we even made it there. peyton had to spank some patriot ass twice that year to get to it. had to make comeback drives in two games against them, and play in the superbowl where it "never rains"

@ColtonSaylor713 The Colts had the 3rd ranked defense and the 11th ranked defense 3Xs. That's good enough to win multiple Rings. But Manning chokes in playoffs.
Manning is 9-10 in the playoffs, and the Colts have averaged 14 pts/game in the ten losses. You can't win in the playoffs if you only score 14 points. Just ask the Pats in SB42, and the Colts in SB44 where they scored 17. If the offense is not scoring in the playoffs, that's Manning's fault cause he's the QB, O.C. and Coach. LOL

Even when the defense was good you bad mouth them just so you can have more excuses for him.
I'm glad I don't have to do that for Brady. I admit it when Brady chokes, he's done it 5 times in the playoffs. All five of those losses were his fault. He didn't get it done. But he gets it done most of the time.
Stop making excuses for Manning and admit he's a playoff choker. He's still the Greatest Reg Season QB Ever.

@Pick6PeytonSB44 wow, now its "excuses" its not brady's fault, or mannings fault... its their TEAMS fault if they lose in the post season. it always has, thats why i cant get it through your head dude. stats are for regular season. but in the post season its a team effort, thats why tom is no greater, and actually worse, than manning. peyton doesnt have a full team like tom, and i can sing the same song all day long about his o-line being the greatest ever. but manning is better

@ColtonSaylor713 Here's the bottom line, Nobody is better than Manning in the regular season. He can read those defenses all day long. But in the playoffs, Brady's better. He's just more Clutch, he's finished 3 Clutch SB drives. Manning choked on his.
But it's not over until they're both done. Until then, expert opinion will change depending on who had the better year. That's why Manning was ranked higher on one list, and Brady gets the nod from all the experts now. Soup of the day

@ColtonSaylor713 See, all you Mantards think that other list was the end of it. That's funny how naive you all are. That other list just basically said that Manning had two years where Brady was off one year and had an ok year the next. So the list will reflect that.
I guarantee you, now that Brady has finished his 9th year as a starter and Manning has 13 years, if that other list was voted on today, they would both be Top 10, Brady would probably be ranked a little higher than Manning.

Look at him now, 9 seasons and I'm sure all those experts would put him in the top ten. And that's only after 9 seasons as a starter. Imagine where they'll rank him when he has 12 seasons as a starter like Manning did when the list was made. He'll probably be the Top QB on the list.
