  • Hi Roger, I am very impressed with your workmanship. I love the way that you combine functionality and art. Very nice and clean looking display models.

  • Excellent work there Rog , a real Masterpiece for Prosperity .

  • That is absolutely amazing Rog!

  • Magnifique !!!

  • absolutely stuck for words- Wow!

  • Well done Rodger, both are beautiful models. i noticed the big goveners on the 51's, are they just for show or do they work?

  • Yes both govenors work. I have read and seen pictures of both engines.

  • Yes, the governors DO work. As the engine speed increases it causes the governor to speed up as well since it is tethered by a spring belt...the governor's spring loaded arms/balls rise giving some resistance, As the governor arms rise they lift a lever riding in a groove and subsequently that lever gradually closes off a steam valve within the steam chest. By this method it self controls top speed to avoid exceeding designed in rpms...it works very well and is totally adjustable.

  • Heh heh, yours is bigger. Well the water tower is.

  • Yes Ranger, mine is bigger :)

BUT, Mike's is more correct measurement wise
