Reading previous comments it amazes me how many people do not realize that TH is not a rapper. That was just a movie role. He did a great job in hustle and flow but musically it is far from who he is. I actually bought the album. I like his effort and his lyrics are something you can relate too. True music. This album is absolutely fantastic. I really hope he writes another record. The song writing is superb. When I first read he was going into music and I read that it was going to be hip hop, after Hustle and Flow I was excited for the album. Then when I read it was actually going to be an RnB type of album, I didn't know what to think. But listening to it was a great surprise. It's one I'll keep in my collection for many years.

The richness in his voice reminds me of Al Green's Simply Beautiful. Its stripped from all the extra music and background vocals and you get to hear Al's voice.
