if ur on the wall like that in a boxing or mma match, wouldnt u want to move sideways, insted of staying in place ? this is usally situation for fighters that dont move straight back ,, at the end of ur drill why dont u move left or right to the side? great video thou thank you
this isnt training for having ur back against the cage. The wall is only used so the fighter gets used to blocking attacks rather than constantly moving backwards. it forces an action.
Similar to a kyokushin drill I learned.

Excellent! We use this drill as well. It really hones our defensive skills and inoculates us against fear of being hit. Great coaching.
