  • Scott Boras is a great guy. He really does care about and look out for the kids that sign with him. So what if he gets them big contracts? That's his job. I'm guessing Scioscia hardly knows Nick because he was just getting started in the major league. Boras was really emotional because he has been advising Nick since he came out of high school.

  • I couldn't help but notice: California Angles pitcher Nicholas JAMES Adenhart (215-27-9142) was taken with the 413th overall pick of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft. The 412th pick: JermAL LoMACK (Pittsburgh Pirates). The 414th pick: Lyndsey Simmons (Montreal Expos). Unrelated to the middle school 1980s or the 501 E. 16th address: Robert Swindell was the draft’s 425th pick (Boston Red Sox). Oregon Ducks / Mississippi QB Jeremiah Masoli was born on Adenhart’s 2nd birthday: AUG. 24, 1988

  • California Angles pitcher Nicholas JAMES Adenhart (215-27-9142) shared an AUG. 24 birthday with NFL Philadelphia Eagles QB Kevin Kolb (b. 1984 in Victoria, TX) who was expected to be Donovan McNabb’s successor after mcNABB (not a vending machine snack craker) was traded to the Washington Redskins on 4/04/10. Taken one spot after Adenhart in the 2004 MLB Draft, JermAL LoMACK could remind of Donovan JamAL mcNABB’s D-MAC NICKname. Adenhart's 4/9 (2009) death coud evoke 4949 ending telephone numbers

  • Did Nick Adenhart (wittingly or not) foretell his death in a post-game interview hours before the fatal accident? From the AP recap: "Kurt SUZUKI got a key INFIELD hit during the final rally, helped by a

BIT of indecision of (Brian) Fuentes’ part....The first time I came in on SUZUKI with a fastball and jammed him pretty good. The second time it was just a fastball down and away that I got him to ROLL OVER on.” Adenhart died in a MitsuBIsHI ECLIPSE, but the SUZUKI SAMurai had the ROLLOVER rep.

  • BlackSoulAcid, You obviously have never lost a loved one, but then again, judging from your post, you probably have never been loved by anyone either. I'm all for freedom of speech, but there's a responsibility that comes with it and you just crossed the line.

  • FUCK THE ANGELS. ASSHOLE DIRTY MEXICANS RUINED THIS TEAM...FUCKIN SPICS

  • rip nick adenhart you really were a great pitcher from a redsox fan

  • RIP nick adenhart...from a rockie fan

  • People!! Just ignore the assholes saying stupid stuff...

    They're just 'trolling'

look up trolling if you dont know what it is

  • This was actually the first time I learned Scott actually had feelings than being a money grub.

  • You guys best be watching what you're saying. It's rude. Have a little respect. He's my fellow Wildcat. RIP 34.

  • The only thing this guy is crying about is loseing out on a huge contract.

  • @JShorey91 get a life, man. agents and the players they represent know each other well, and they talk to each other more than family in some cases. have some respect

  • @JShorey91 shut the fuck up you stupid faggot. show some respect if you know what that is

  • boras doesnt care he just cares about damon that was funny felipe lopez fired him lol

  • R.I.P Nick Adenhart and Rory Markas! You guys will be missed at the Big-A..... ANGEL FAN 4 LIFE!!!!!

  • scott boras DOES have a heart!!

  • @Brian211978

stop being retarded, this is clearly fake

  • RIP Nick Adenhart FOREVER

And i wish the Angels Orginization the best of luck going foward.

  • I'm a red sox fan and ill tell you this was so tragic i remeber finding this news out at school. I was like OMG some kids were so shocked one was even crying.

BTW to Scott Boras haters, he does have a heart you know. Sure hes a hard nose buisnessman, but his tears come from a certain death and not the fact that he lost money. Even the most cruel and evil person in the world today wouldn't think such a thing.

  • @KingofFPS

    fake tears, clean my pee

  • you guys realize that the only thing this guy was thinking about was how much money he lost out on this deal. This guy is the devil himself.

  • yeah boras gets a bad rap...just cause hes all business and hardnosed as an agent doesnt make him a bad person without normal human feelings...not fair to say..RIP nick

  • Wow kc that has to be one of the most rediculous things I have ever read on a youtube video. I am a Red Sox fan btw.... Adenhart will not be forgotten...both teams have a job to do- win the games, and win a championship. Those Yankees can't let Adenhart's death affect their game, they wouldn't be doing their job. I'd like to see The Angels pull through and go on to win the WS, no team deserves it more. But to say he will be forgotten is crazy

  • I'm sorry for that remark, mixer. Adenhart will never be forgotton, I was still angry after New York bombed the Angels in Game 4. Hopefully, the Halos can win Games 5 & 6 this weekend as Nick will be watching in Heaven. Remember what happened when the Yankees had a 3-1 lead in the ALCS back in 04...they lost the ALCS to Boston. I hope history can repeat itself this weekend, I HAVE A LOT OF FAITH IN THE ANGELS NOW, despite that the series is back at Yankee Stadium.

  • The Yankees are one win away from making people forget about Nick Adenhart FOREVER. The Yankees won 10-1 last night, they just don't care about Nick Adenhart, they just want to win for themselves.

  • that was a pretty ignorant comment.

  • I apologize for that, because of what happened during Game 4. I hope LAA wins tonight and tomorrow, and win it all. But win or lose, America was touched by the Angels all season long honoring #34.

  • WOW. dude WHAT? whats wrong with you this was a terrible tragedy and i dont care if you apoligized because you cant take it back. WOW dude you really oughtta go get a life

  • fucking red sox fan

  • @kcthatsawinner are you joking?! the yankees care

  • I remember watching Nick pitch & the next morning found out he was killed by a drunk driver , my little niece was crushed , she is a huge halo fan .. the whole situation seemed like a very bad dream .

  • Why is it that the drunk driver always walks away from the scene , I mean they never seem to get hurt ?

  • is is so bad that they kill and walk away with nothing

  • so they can live with the guilt perhaps

  • R.I.P. Nick , from a Dodgers fan , god bless !

  • I'd love to see a walk-off homer over the Nick Adenhart sign in center field. Game 7 of the World Series? That would be unreal.

  • GO ANGELS!!! Win this year for Nick! Your Angel in the Outfield has been there all season long. I know he is looking down on you and smiling his beautiful smile. RIP Nick. See you in heaven Angel.

  • It was a great moment after their win when they paid tribute & respect to their fallen teammate. I know Nick' in Heaven smiling down over there saying "Way to go, guys".

  • NICK I LOVE YOU AND RIP :(

  • completely inappropiate. Learn some manners

  • dick

  • fuck you you fucking piece of shit.

    die in a fucking hole.

nick was a million times the person you are, faggot.

have fun at your 9-5 job being single moping in your appartment, shitter.

  • your a faggot

  • I was devastated when I found out that he passed away, knowing he pitched a phenomenal game just hours before, and seeing what he had to offer for the future. Nick, you will be missed, and your team is going to win it all for you. RIP Nick.

  • We just won the AL West just a few minutes ago. All the players celebrated together in the clubhouse then went out to centerfield and paid tribute to Nick.

It was a heartfelt and touching scene, one that I wont ever forget.

    CALLING ALL YOU ANGELS!!!!

Lets go all the way...... for Nick.

  • rest in peace Nick #34

let's go Angels win it for Nick

  • This was a long time ago and this still makes me cry. R.I.P. Nick Adenhart.

  • Youtube has shown me a new level of scum.

  • how many players is Scott Boras an agent of? ... watching this press makes me wanna cry RIP Nick Adenhart 1986-2009

  • more then i can count

  • Everybody, please. Stop fighting. this is a tribute to a wonderful person, killed before his time. please, pay your respects, as he is in Heaven now with our saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. R.I.P Nick Adenhart, a true Angel.

  • RIP

    Angels never die

  • RIP Nick Adenhart

  • Why is everyone so involved with arguing here? These videos are posted as a memorial for a GREAT baseball player! I shouldn't have to ask this, but, please don't leave a comment unless you have something respectful to say about Nick (he deserves the utmost respect!) Thankyou.

  • No wonder YouTube commenters are consistently mentioned as the worst of the worst when it comes to being creeps and jerks. How 'bout saving up all the vitriol and accusations and anger and directing that stuff where it belongs--at the scum Andrew Thomas Gallo, who chose to drive drunk on a suspended license after a long string of incidents which demonstrate he did not care a whit about the danger he posed to others. 3 people dead, and one still barely living, because of Gallo's choice.

  • Posted this on another vid but: Not an angels fan but being from Southern CA, this hit close to home and I was in tears when it happened. No I had the misfortune of not knowing Adenhart, but my thoughts and prayers go out to the Adenhart family and angel family and fanbase, I can't imagine what it must have been like to burry their beloved son.

PS: to all of you commenting about Boras' tears being fake....

SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! YOU HAVE NO FUCKING RESPECT!!! He lost a good man, not a client.

  • really? how cud you even say those tears are fake? he knew Nick and his son goes to Jserra high school in San Juan Capistrano, CA and they are nice people

  • ur a fucking ass u fucking prick, r u fucking serious????? wow......

  • Guys thanks for tellin those assholes off! I'll be honest. it made me teary eyed watching the highlights of his game & after that he died It made me sad & mad. Sad because he worked so hard for such a long time just to die. & Mad because it won't fair that god took him too young!!! R.I.P. Nick Adenhart! Thanks guy's!!!

  • its about time someone stops this madness... people are dying everyday because of people like gallo. these drunk drivers obviously arent learning their lesson so teach them one! it really sucks that great guys like adenhart have to die cuz people are too lazy to call a damn cab. I just dont understand why drunk driving isnt stopped its beyond ridiculous to me that our government is dicking around the issue this long!

  • haha funny post, thanks

  • show how fucking mature everyone is. a person he worked with was killed and your saying his tears are fake because of money? grow up

  • u fagget why u just go die and ill tell ur parents to not cry cuz their PUSSYS LIKE U

  • you're a dirty piece of shit go fuck yourself

  • i will but can i fuck ur mom first

  • Comment removed

  • How can you say that!!! Do you have a soul??? A 22 year old died from a drunk driver, and your joking about it????

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not fan of Scott Boras, but he does what he is paid to do....and I think his tears are genuine. I'm sure he was pretty close to Nick.

  • they should give that to the family

  • damn cause the saying things usually come in 3's is right...adenhart, kalas, and now fidrych crap this blows...RiP - Nick Adenhart, Mark Fidrych, and Harry Kalas

  • Nick is from Silver Spring, MD, where I live, so I know some who knew him. Absolutely horrible what happened. Bad week for baseball. Adenhart, now Kallas and Fidrych.

  • it's been a horrible couple of weeks for baseball.this guy was killed, harry kalas dies and now a former detroit tiger was run over by a dump truck.awful.

  • Boras would have to talked with Nicks parents about plenty of things im sure

This would be one time where being an agent would suck

  • So young, so sad. He seemed like a great guy and great son.

  • Yeah, Boras's reaction did look kind of fake.... especially how he gathered himself so quickly.

  • I agree man. They didnt show all of this on tv, just the part where he couldnt keep it together there for a second. I hope to God he wasnt fakin this.

  • No well you can see they cut it out but when it was live he cried for like 5 min. stright

  • Look Boras may suck for making basesball saleries get even more ridiculous but in this case people should lay off of him. Im sure it was truely painfull and sad to for him as would have been for anyone in his shoes at that time.

  • you're a fool

    "chill out... dickwad" -schwarzenegger

  • God bless him and his family..I bet he's up in heaven pitching a no hitter as we sit here typing our silly youtube comments

  • I do not understand why everyone is beating up on Boras. Hes probably just as shook up as we are, if not more.

  • R.I.P #34 NICK ADENHART. You will be missed : (

  • R.I.P #34 NICK ADENHART. You will be missed : ( A message to all: Think twice before you drive drunk! Consider everything that you can instantly become responsible for! and why can't you people just feel bad and not et into a whole bunch of b.s? A guy just died and you people are too worried about who's right and who's wrong! Give it a rest!

  • Man he was the best when he was here with the BEES, my son thought he was all that i thought this kid is going to do grate things in years to come we was looking forward to see him play in the Major League's, his home opener was one that him the team and his family has to be proud of, then to turn on the t.v the next morning and to hear what had happened was just so unreal so sad and the loss of his friends in the car with him so sad..

  • RIP =(

  • how come when a ball player dies it's a tragedy, but when dante killed reyes it was reyes fault. this is b%&&@%*t

  • ur a dick u make me suck

  • You know that makes YOU look bad not him!

  • Rest in peace Nick, I was hoping to see you over summer when I flew over but I guess I can't do that anymore. I know you're pitching for God now on another Angel's team.

  • I don't like being cynical and questioning someone's anguish, but Boras' tears seemed forced. Everyone handles grief differently but Scioscia had spent a lot more time with the kid as of late and he managed to keep it together for the entirity of the press conference. Drew Rosenhaus did they same thing at Sean Taylor's memorial service (his seemed more forced). It seems these uber-agents use these stages as a ploy to show potential clients how much they care. If this is the case, for shame.

  • You should be ashamed of yourself. Keep opinions like that to yourself. No one else here wants to hear it. Grow up.

  • I don't know if you've lost loved ones before, but I have, and my experience teaches me not to judge how other people handle grief from an unexpected death.

  • I thought about Scosc too.... but Scott spent waaaay more time with him, and was asked personally BY the parents to relay that. Scott has three kids and you don't know where he's at personally in life. I know for a fact he's always open to learning, growing and getting better, personally and professionally. those things combined... i don't he could've helped it if you paid him. you have the right to your doubts, but i think they'd change if you had kids and those parents asked you to do this

  • Boras was Nicks agent.. Nick was only 22..just a kid..im sure Boras has met Nicks parents plenty of times to go over certain things..I bet he was even at Nicks parents house

Boras is a hardcore agent...A complete pig when it comes to money..BUT that doesn't mean he's not shaken up by the death of a 22 yr old kid

And im sure he talked with Nicks parents..which would have been tough

  • RIP--------Nick. God bless his family and

    the other's families.

  • Man those poor parents

  • Prayers go out to the Adenhart family and other families that go through the same thing on a daily basis, clearly a talented kid.

However those are crocodile tears coming from Boras, agents have no shame, absolutely disgusting.

  • say what you want about agents

but you don't know the man

  • That is so true

  • Amen on the prayers for Adenhart and his family. While I don't agree with yu that all agents are scumbags, Boras has proven time and time again that he has no soul. His little meltdown here isn't fooling anybody who's followed his past actions

  • All Baseball fans mourn the loss of a player.

As a Cardinals fan, I can appreciate how it feels to lose a player. It reminds me a lot of when Darryl Kile died.

  • You know, I really dislike the Angels, but I still feel so much sympathy for him. At least he had one game in the majors. RIP Nick. I hope his family isn't taking this too hard. Don't drive drunk, it shows you how bad it can affect something.

Although I feel this is a sad story, thousands of people die from this same kind of thing a year. But only when it is someone we know or famous, we grieve. As much as this is a horrible accident, it happens to other Americans daily.

  • it's not that the thousands that die of this are less important. at all. they just HAPPENED to be in a position that calls attention from people that don't know them, and those people have a small chance to reflect on life and somebody they don't know. so it IS special in that way. what's worse than thousands mourning over someone they don't know, is no one mourning over someone they truly care about. as long as the people that know you mourn and remember you, that's what holds the most weight.

  • And, you'd be amazed, to even more non-Americans, DAILY!

  • im from Baltimore and i am in tears cause he had a bright carrer ahead of him i was so proud of him!!!!! hes playing for angels above!

  • i cried this moring when i saw it on espn. so sad. people who drink and drive should be killed the same way they killed the people in the other car.

  • why dont u shut your mouth n' fuck youself ?

  • shut up man my god you are horribal!

  • you obviously don't know baseball

while nick rests in peace have fun living in hell

  • Gee, Why don't they arrest all the fans that leave the games drunk? MLB is sending a strange message here. Get drunk at the game but don't drive?

  • Have you ever been to a Pro game? What kind of city doesn't have a metro system or cabs? Or, for fucks sake, you can't get a DD?

  • I go to Red Sox games all the time. And the fact is that many of the fans don't live in Massachusetts. I'm dealing with reality. The fact is many fans leave sporting events drunk. and drive after they leave.

  • dude..

drunk drivers who kill people should get the death penalty ..

    RIP...

  • RIP Nick Adenhart.

A young man taken before he had a chance to show the world what he really had.

Thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.

  • Gallo says he was in a blackout. BULLSHIT! He says or will probably say he was to drunk to know what he was doing. BULLSHIT! He ran from Lemon to State College in 30 minutes. That's at least 2-3 miles. He wasn't to drunk to do that. With a suspendended lisence and a prior DUI , and a blown red light at 60-80 mph, there is no doubt that this was murder. That should be the charge on all counts and once convicted ,sentencing should be consecutive. Time to suffer the concequences mr gallo!

  • A 22 year old kid, who was in his prime lost his life. all because some dumbass decided to drink and drive. don't be a moron and get behind the wheel drunk, you put not only your life at risk....but also the innocent lives of people around you. a mother and father have lost their son, and there's another ANGEL in heaven. RIP Adenhart....at least we know a few of the shooting stars in the night sky are because of you.

  • It really saddens me to see negative comments from fellow you tubers on something so tragic. The people leaving the rude comments dont know how it affects the people who were directly involved with the young pitcher. The comments you leave are immature and uncalled for. Let people show emotions without being put down for it!

You people have nothing better to do!

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who this young man touched! :)

  • You're an awful piece of human material

  • Fuck you asswipe.

  • do you know boras

    i do

and since i don't know you or anything about you i'm not gonna comment here saying why you said that

but i can say go fuck yourself.

    so go. fuck yourself

  • I'll just say it. This sucks. It had to happen to a young man with the prime of his life in front of him, not to mention a potentially great baseball career. And not even that, he was a nice person who never did anything wrong. All because of some chickenshit who ran a red light? And he was drunk no less. This just isn't right. My sincerest of well wishes to the family and friend of those who died. This just sucks.

  • so sad to hear about this and when you see boras cry you really know this kid was something special...RIP

  • It's silly how they note he had pitched 6 scoreless innings, as if he had allowed 6 earned runs in 3 and a third innings it wouldn't have been that big of a loss...

  • I hear what you're saying, but the fact that hours before this tragedy, a young kid came into his own at the highest level makes it all the more tragic. It's the contrast of emotion in his final hours that does make this all the more tragic. It's sad either way, but it is worth noting he did have some piece of heaven and accomplishment in his life before checking out so soon.

  • well said

    RIP 34

  • rip nick adenhart.

i always thought this guy would one day be a great pitcher when he was ranked as one of the top prospects in baseball 2-3 years ago.

it's so sad because he's just getting started.

btw scott boras is not such a bad guy. seeing him weep changes my perception on boras. scioscia seems pretty detached though. i guess he doesn't know adenhart that well

  • Same thing, I always thought of Boras as kind of a jag bag, but he really cared about his kid...Never thought I'd see Scott Boras crying...RIP Adenhart.

  • Damnit, who knows how far he could have gotten. RIP man...

  • Damn so young and just starting out. RIP My friend

  • It's a Sad story anytime a kid is killed before what is thought to be his time. So my thoughts go out to his family and the other families who lost in that car accident last night.

  • May he Rest In Peace.
