Hopefully, the Halos can win Games 5 & 6 this weekend as Nick will be watching in Heaven. Remember what happened when the Yankees had a 3-1 lead in the ALCS back in 04...they lost the ALCS to Boston. We just won the AL West just a few minutes ago. All the players celebrated together in the clubhouse then went out to centerfield and paid tribute to Nick.

Man he was the best when he was here with the BEES, my son thought he was all that i thought this kid is going to do grate things in years to come we was looking forward to see him play in the Major League's, his home opener was one that him the team and his family has to be proud of, then to turn on the t.v the next morning and to hear what had happened was just so unreal so sad and the loss of his friends in the car with him so sad..

I don't like being cynical and questioning someone's anguish, but Boras' tears seemed forced. Everyone handles grief differently but Scioscia had spent a lot more time with the kid as of late and he managed to keep it together for the entirity of the press conference. Drew Rosenhaus did they same thing at Sean Taylor's memorial service (his seemed more forced). It seems these uber-agents use these stages as a ploy to show potential clients how much they care. If this is the case, for shame.
I don't know if you've lost loved ones before, but I have, and my experience teaches me not to judge how other people handle grief from an unexpected death.

Although I feel this is a sad story, thousands of people die from this same kind of thing a year. But only when it is someone we know or famous, we grieve. As much as this is a horrible accident, it happens to other Americans daily.
it's not that the thousands that die of this are less important. at all. they just HAPPENED to be in a position that calls attention from people that don't know them, and those people have a small chance to reflect on life and somebody they don't know. so it IS special in that way. what's worse than thousands mourning over someone they don't know, is no one mourning over someone they truly care about. as long as the people that know you mourn and remember you, that's what holds the most weight.
I go to Red Sox games all the time. And the fact is that many of the fans don't live in Massachusetts. I'm dealing with reality. The fact is many fans leave sporting events drunk. and drive after they leave.

I'll just say it. This sucks. It had to happen to a young man with the prime of his life in front of him, not to mention a potentially great baseball career. It's silly how they note he had pitched 6 scoreless innings, as if he had allowed 6 earned runs in 3 and a third innings it wouldn't have been that big of a loss...
I hear what you're saying, but the fact that hours before this tragedy, a young kid came into his own at the highest level makes it all the more tragic. It's the contrast of emotion in his final hours that does make this all the more tragic. It's sad either way, but it is worth noting he did have some piece of heaven and accomplishment in his life before checking out so soon.

We just won the AL West just a few minutes ago. All the players celebrated together in the clubhouse then went out to centerfield and paid tribute to Nick.

Everyone handles grief differently but Scioscia had spent a lot more time with the kid as of late and he managed to keep it together for the entirity of the press conference. Drew Rosenhaus did they same thing at Sean Taylor's memorial service (his seemed more forced). It seems these uber-agents use these stages as a ploy to show potential clients how much they care. If this is the case, for shame.

I thought about Scosc too.... but Scott spent waaaay more time with him, and was asked personally BY the parents to relay that. Scott has three kids and you don't know where he's at personally in life. I know for a fact he's always open to learning, growing and getting better, personally and professionally. those things combined... i don't he could've helped it if you paid him. you have the right to your doubts, but i think they'd change if you had kids and those parents asked you to do this

Boras was Nicks agent.. Nick was only 22..just a kid..im sure Boras has met Nicks parents plenty of times to go over certain things..I bet he was even at Nicks parents house
Boras is a hardcore agent...A complete pig when it comes to money..BUT that doesn't mean he's not shaken up by the death of a 22 yr old kid
And im sure he talked with Nicks parents..which would have been tough

You know, I really dislike the Angels, but I still feel so much sympathy for him. At least he had one game in the majors. RIP Nick. I hope his family isn't taking this too hard. Don't drive drunk, it shows you how bad it can affect something.
Although I feel this is a sad story, thousands of people die from this same kind of thing a year. But only when it is someone we know or famous, we grieve. As much as this is a horrible accident, it happens to other Americans daily.

it's not that the thousands that die of this are less important. at all. they just HAPPENED to be in a position that calls attention from people that don't know them, and those people have a small chance to reflect on life and somebody they don't know. so it IS special in that way. what's worse than thousands mourning over someone they don't know, is no one mourning over someone they truly care about. as long as the people that know you mourn and remember you, that's what holds the most weight.

for those of you who don't know boras... his list of clientel is very small and special to him. he cares about every one of them, and he's as competitive as they are. and he's a father too. he starts off relaying a message FOR the parents... so regardless of what you think of him... Gallo says he was in a blackout. BULLSHIT! He says or will probably say he was to drunk to know what he was doing. BULLSHIT! He ran from Lemon to State College in 30 minutes. That's at least 2-3 miles. He wasn't to drunk to do that. With a suspendended lisence and a prior DUI , and a blown red light at 60-80 mph, there is no doubt that this was murder.That should be the charge on all counts and once convicted ,sentencing should be consecutive. Time to suffer the concequences mr gallo!

A 22 year old kid, who was in his prime lost his life. all because some dumbass decided to drink and drive. don't be a moron and get behind the wheel drunk, you put not only your life at risk....but also the innocent lives of people around you. a mother and father have lost their son, and there's another ANGEL in heaven. RIP Adenhart....at least we know a few of the shooting stars in the night sky are because of you.

I'll just say it. This sucks. It had to happen to a young man with the prime of his life in front of him, not to mention a potentially great baseball career. And not even that, he was a nice person who never did anything wrong. All because of some chickenshit who ran a red light? And he was drunk no less. This just isn't right. My sincerest of well wishes to the family and friend of those who died. This just sucks.

It's silly how they note he had pitched 6 scoreless innings, as if he had allowed 6 earned runs in 3 and a third innings it wouldn't have been that big of a loss...

I hear what you're saying, but the fact that hours before this tragedy, a young kid came into his own at the highest level makes it all the more tragic. It's the contrast of emotion in his final hours that does make this all the more tragic. It's sad either way, but it is worth noting he did have some piece of heaven and accomplishment in his life before checking out so soon.
