Im now looking into the new Imac quad cores as well. I wouldent mind getting the high end 27" Imac but I wonder if one of the other new quad core macs would be suffice? any input would be great.

He said that his mac was getting on a bit and when you consider he was recording video, audio and running something like maschine with all the DAW and video editing software all at the same time, any system will slow down a bit.
