@ody100 I think it is i just that the sound is nottimed with the video. There are lots of parts where you can see he is singing different parts than what is being heard. Also if you notice that the "weirdo at 1:35" (LOL) is mouthing the part "somewhere along the way" a few seconds before you hear Julian sing it. I think it's definitely possible the whole thing is lip synced but the sound is also mismatched with the video. My pinion, anyway. :)

you need to look at the instruments, there you can see how delayed it is, especially with the piano. I've been a Strokes fan all my life(probably not), but I've never seen Julian lip sync, even on a bad day, he'll just go with it.other point is that the lyrics aren't even in order and he walks away at the end and returns just to finish a line....

I've saw The Strokes play live back in 2002 when Julian had a "bad day" and lost his voice. He came out on stage sounding like he had a frog in his throat. He sounded baaad. Regardless of how bad he sounded, he did NOT lip sync. The crowd did most of the sining for him instead ;)

He came back a few months later and played a make up show for us since he couldn't sing. that was great!
