  • i dont know much at all about this stuff. i have an 02 prix gt. dont wanna go all out but what can get to at least get a lil more power out of it. can the supercharger out of a gtp or regal fit this engine or is the setup all different. or should i just get a few bolt ons

  • @TooOffensive901 if you want to put a supercharger on a grand prix gt your gonna have to do a top end swap, pistons, heads, rods, cam, all that, but i would just say buy some headers, cai, exhaust, but if you really want some power your gonna have to rebuild the motor

  • M112 is a little bigger and doesn't great up as fast as the m90. M90 can get more hp for cheaper but the m112 can get more hp overall

  • Whats the difference between M112 and M90? The m90 is whats on the stock GTP l67s right? I have a 00 GTP 4 dr i got lots of videos of it on my channel. Thanks for your time.

  • 2.8 pulley, yeah only a 3800 could take that and not blow...

  • @Xx573v3xX Definitely. That vid was taken originally over 2 years ago, with stock LIM, stock heads, stock cam, and 1.9 rockers. headers and pacesetters i believe as well back then. What kind of setup do you have?

    3.3 pacesetters, fully ported heads/intake/ and blower

    stock rockers, tune, intake. some other stuff but its a daily not a race car.

    eh its a daily and im cheap, who cares my Z is my strip car, the gtp is just a play toy, and the intercooler hasnt been installed yet and neither has the vs cam. um the exhaust is SLP whatever diameter it is.

    and i cant decide on what rockers yet

  • @Xx573v3xX Take my advice. keep stock rockers, get at least 105# springs, get a double roller chain, and get a cam. Rockers will never cut it. I wish i had done the same. If i had a GTP i'd just remove the blower and turbo it. Cheaper in the long run, faster, more efficient, and better gas mileage.

  • @kyle1058 true but like i said, im keeping it mild, these transmissions suck.

    i mean its not a big deal i build transmissions but to annoying to keep from breaking something on these family cars.

  • @Xx573v3xX input shaft, single drive chain (not double!), decent axles even if factory, a shift kit (transgo preferrably), and depending on the mods, more... There's a big difference between a 14 second car and an 8 second car. My primary 'go fast' Grand prix is going to be a streetable mid 10 second grand prix, less on street tires.

  • @barto249 Oh i definitely do. It's much harder than i thought when i had your mindset.. you are looking at top-swapping. You need to replace the l36 heads, intake, fuel rails, everything with an L67 top end, and a computer (PCM) reprogram, to put it shortly.

  • @kyle1058 thanks...im probably goin to do it in two years (when im 16) i already have the car and im purchising the supercharger conversion kit from the w body store, they have pretty much everything ou need to put a supercharger on. also how often do you drive your car, will mine still be able to be a daily driver, thanks for the reply

  • @barto249 I did a top-swap as it's called, everything above the block with l67 parts, so i have higher compression and the blower. It was my daily driver for 3 years on a stock tranny, even took it to the track. Tranny failed, awaiting to put my 3rd one in, stock trannies hate 450whp

  • @512482 Car's down right now, needs a new transmission again and a head gasket minimum, but i think ill do the heads and mill them, cam it, and build the tranny so i can run slicks and more spray........ addictive...

  • 14 seconds to 100 mph? I realize you launched easy and had wheelspin in first but still, with your mods I was expecting 12 seconds to 100 even with wheelspin.

  • 3" Full size intercooler, wbodystore core. (Maybe it's 2 3/4", its some off-size they make).. Barely clears the hood with stock height motor mounts (poly motor mounts and hydraulic tranny mounts).

  • Really wish I had a full list of mods, but you know how it is you start modding and you lose track.. maybe someday i'll make a real list.. Also, your name sounds farmiliar, do you ever get on ClubGP?

  • I run a 2.9 with no rockers or intercooler... Its called HP tuners and E85...

  • @kyle1058 E85 is the keyword in his response. I just got done doing a build that consists of 9.4 bottom end, XP cam, 2.8 pulley, E85, headers etc and 18* of timing. I personally know someone running headers, E85, and 3.0 pulley with 17* of timing. E85 unleashes many possibilities.

  • hi kyle I have an old bonneville ssei 1998 ll stock what do I do or change in the engineI to support a 2.8 inch or 3.0 pulley?? how much gain of hp i get if I change the headers, the exhaust , port the SC.3.0 pulley change de PCM and add an intercooler..?? stock it has 240 hp my ssei has low miles 55000 how fast can I make it? stock I ran 7.7 seconds 0-60

  • That's because I didn't just mash the throttle off the start, I nailed it around 20ish mph, and eased it to start. You can obviously tell it loses traction immediately and continues to spin until 2nd gear.

  • The funny thing is that when it spins, it thinks its going fast but in reality its not

  • Most engines are a little slow to start out, if you know how engines work, there is a slow rate of acceleration, they just don't have a straight rate of acceleration. You should consider doing your research. Also, I know Kyle, and this car's got a great acceleration and top speed. I can't see any reason you'd post negative comments other than you're jealous. It would take some serious gall and arrogance to run an engine like this without a real reason besides bragging on youtube.

  • Just a 3 year old vid of my GT running 0-95ish mph.. I will be installing an XP cam, double roller, and a few other mods in the next couple weeks.. I may have a new vid up after that. Do you have any 97-03 grand prix vids, shepperd?

  • @lurch1489 You should get a full size intercooler and cam your car.. unless you have cash to go turbo. You're on the right track with your setup. I don't have an offical mod list, i actually just lost 3rd gear in my car and i'll be swapping in a new tranny friday.
