I definitely think Clark played a crucial role in lex turning evil, he just wouldn't trust him, that must hurt, to know that your only friend doesn't trust you, no matter how hard you try to be good to gain their approval.
@Bastion83 Lex didn't trust clark because he knew he was hiding something important and lying to his face, Clark didnt trust lex because of his Luthor legacy of evil.
Clark is such a dick sometimes. Like, your buddy just saved your ass after you got yourself into trouble, and you act like Lex is the asshole? Please.
Lex was such a good character... so multi-faceted.... they did a great job building him up... his cross-over to "darkness" was awesome... As for Clark... yet another scene in which Clark is angry... that man is always angry about something.
One of my favourite scenes of Smallville...I don't know if they'll ever be able to re-create the magic shared between these two characters...especially now that Lex is no longer part of the show and Clark's pretty much a lonely hero with no-one to confide in.
@GreySkies15 why? he was always evil in my eyes. not completely but he wanted clarks life especially lana... not to be clarks friend as explained in "vessel" he investigated him many times behind his back. he was pretty conniving too in the early seasons. so I never felt for lex, ever.
@GreySkies15 I agree. It may sound silly but I always find myself wondering what could have been in terms of their friendship of legend as Lex put it.

Man I feel so sorry for Lex. He really tried to be a good person. I wish he had conquered the darkness so him and Clark could still be good friends.

Does anybody have an idea where I could find that fantastic piano theme starting from 3:57?

When Lex looks hurt and swears "I will never become my father" it breaks my heart every time.
