@MCGoldYoshi Yes but by the time the actors get to stage, they know each other quite well, so kissing is not as weird as you think. These types of shows rehearse for months before the actors get on stage.

Fun fact of the day: Unlike most of the other books in the Medieval Muslim book: "The Book of One Thousand and One Nights," "Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp," and a few other stories in the book, where written years after the original book was published. The story was written by John Payne, who was from England, and set in China.

@rockangel2410 it wasn't. Aladdin is supposed to be set in Medieval world of Saudi Arabia, i think. The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889

Its because the actors flying on the carpet are different actors than the ones onstage, so theyre two different voices and not from the movie

I wish that the charaters look less cartoonish, it was good for the film but do not translate well into a stage play.

Jasmine was great, acting wise. I do think she butchered the song just a little bit though... it was still really great but she shoulda stuck with the original melody instead of making some of the notes a little bit longer

They didn't want her that dark, appearently. They use creme makeup, the color of the character, to define characteristics. It's really cool, but the foundation makes the actor break out like all heck.

i enjoyed this scene when aladdin enters. I think the guy who played aladdin and the woman that played jasmine have a very good chemistry together, moreso that others. I felt he was very sincere, and they were able to connect really well together. Their voices also meshed very well together. Great performance =D
