  • He lived for awhile near Beaumont Texas and would sing at the juke joints in and around Bridge City, Orange, and Jasper. His songs were on am radio alot in that area. Saw him live once and was the beginning of my love of the Blues.

  • Blue Bobby, melting the blues all over this lonely town, I see him down the street, smoking a dag, and waiting for the bar to close.....as his woman leaves with another man..

  • im on that brown liquor

  • Me too in re KDIA! Oh yes, long time back!

  • One of the best blues albums if not the best blues album in the entire world "Two Steps From the Blues" I can not do without it in my collection..

  • @ebonyrod2 Umm.... ACTUALLY, it's not blues; it's two full steps away from blues. SO... watch out there.

  • My dad played this as I was growing up. He taught me the guitar parts. Good stuff.

  • seeing him in oakland in the mid '90s was the best live music show i have ever attended.

  • This man sang the blues that us poor whiye boys could identify with and understand.

  • Wow!!!

Remembering when this song was played on the radio, daily - KDIA - Lucky 1310 - SF Bay Area - straight trip.

  • One month from the day I first met you, your promises proved to be untrue...

The reason we didn't get along was telegrams and telephone. One brings bad news; the other rendezvous...

  • The greatest Blues album that came out on Duke Records . Many singers owe their careers to Bobby. This man just has such a Feel for any song that he sings. Thank you for the posting of his music.

  • All the singles I've seen say Bobby Bland, yet he's always been called Bobby Blue Bland. That and a quarter will get you a ride on any bus.
