Anyone who says Ringo was a shit drummer really needs to pay attention to this, frankly. His beat was more consistent and perfect for the songs, and had a coherence alongside the rest of the band that most bands can't claim. Some professor(I think it was england) Was telling his students to analyze all the Beatles songs, so John was like, lets play a trick on them, and wrote a song about nothing which made it interpreted many different ways. The walrus is actually from the book "alice in wonderland" and and he didnt notice that the walrus was the bad one in the story(the walrus ate the oysters) but I am the "Oysters" doesnt sound as good as "I am the Walrus"
