This is Mark Rowe( M R O W E M A T H 7 7 ====== O R I G A M I P R O 1) here, i don't have access to mrowemath77 anymore.. I have a better channel in which all of the 160 of my vids are in HD and are all Tutorials of Modular Origami. I reuploaded all of the vids on this old and hacked channel to((((( youtubeDOTcom /origamipro1))))) + new and rare tutorials that are not so much in the main stream.( M R O W E M A T H 7 7 ====== O R I G A M I P R O 1) Thank you, THE CREATOR OF MROWEMATH77)
That is because the icosahedron and dodecahedron are duals. Take an icosahedron and construct a new figure whose vertices are the centroids of its faces - you now have a dodecahedron. Applying the process to a dodecahedron gets you back to an icosahedron.
Cubes and octahedra are also mutually dual, whereas the tetrahedron is dual only to itself.
In the video the edges have some width, so you get to see a partial projection of this effect - a pentagon surrounding each primary vertex.
i cut 30 15 x 15cm squares, made the modules, and put it together all in 3hrs and 44min. (it probably originally would've taken me about 3 days but i did it in one sitting because it was raining like HELL outside and the cable was out -.-)

the wierd thing is, if you look at a certain angle, it looks like a dodecahedron, does anyone else see it?
