Cette chanson vient me chercher et me fait partir dans un monde ou le temps est arrêté que pour deux être qui s'aime passionnément. Merci mon prince xxx
They produced so many fantastic songs throughout the 70's, that it seems this song gem sometimes plays second fiddle to many of their other hits. To me it's one of their very best. The vocal range and harmony of the group is top notch and as good as it ever was, and what a killer bass!! ~Gods Blessings~
One of their best songs ever. I never understood this was never performed live, I know they couldn't get all the layered effects, but they would have done it great live.
I know that I'm dating myself, but I fell in love with them when they first came to America--they ARE and will ALWAYS be the BEST SONGWRITERS!!! I wasn't thrilled with the disco stuff, but I was lucky enough to see them in concert, and also got to see Andy when he played for the first time in NY (The Other End). Great band!
memories of high school, long hot summer days, midnite swims, dancing all nite in the clubs, hearing this song really takes me there, wonderful sweet harmony, thank you!
It is a insult to say Barry looks like Billy Ray Cyrus, when the Brother's Gibb were in and the other was nothing and still is a Country nothing, this is such a beautiful song and I love it that Maurice was in a lot more shots than usual, I was 13 when i heard this tune on the truck radio, and still enjoy it this many years later, thanks for the memories.
great music.bee gees we are miss you.1975 76 77 78 and 79.today the music is not the same.poor artist,no melody.i always tell my friends and my daugters thoses moments never back again.
Ahhh The Bee Gees:) Wonderful song! They were amazing and still are. Hey Andy Gibb was great too. They all made such a GREAT team. TY I like So many of their songs. I dance around the house singing Staying Alive......:) Remember Saturday Night Fever?
"...be tender with my love...." Imagine, "tender" and "love" in the same lyrics. Not found much in today's music...or, as Don Henley said: "how can love survive in such a graceless age?" I'm afraid that most of our best music is behind us. Somebody please prove me wrong.
You're right, unfortunately. For some reason the artists of the 60's and 70's had something that no longer exists. Was it greatness? Innocence? I don't know. I know there's great bands and musicians out there now, but they come and go and you don't even get acquainted with them, do you?
By the way, this song is a such a rare, beautiful mix of sweetness and power... Thanks
Fanny is by no means the BeeGees biggest or best-loved song, but the quality of the performance and production of this gem is a powerful indication of the wealth of their work.
Awesome. This kind of talent and songwriting has all but disappeared in today's "music". It's all about a quick buck and excellence has suffered because of it.
These guys are absolutely spectacular, the most incredible voices all in harmony with each other, and they all have powerful voices in their own right. Their combo is a once in a lifetime occurance. And this song, Fanny, wow, it was made for them, and in my opinion this single hit defines the Bee Gees sound, although many of their others songs are just a great. I will always love the Bee Gees. Happy to be here on earth when they came along!
They can all sing falsetto, alto and bass, how awesum!!! The Bee Gees...no other harmony like them in the history of music, Journey comes close tho, just my opinion folks. Just blows me away...Night Course, the best album/cd ever.
In a 2001 documentary DVD, Maurice talked of this song and how there are several points in it where they meshed Barry and Robin's voices...a little of one mixed with a little of the other...making it sound like just one voice...thus the magic of their vocals.
When they sing in harmony, it is sheer perfection. As great as the Beach Boys were, there is something more emotional achieved when the Bee Gees sing in harmony. As you say, it's magic.
I never understood back then why this song didn't get as much airplay as Jive Talkin' and Nights on Broadway. To me, it was the best song on that album.
Fantastic!! They were SO clever! And the songs so brilliantly orchestrated. The Bee Gees songs transport you back to the 70s in seconds....if and only eh???!!! (I'm 44 this week....:-( !!)
This reminds me of the late Summer of 1975. We were fixing to start back to school,my junior year. I turned 16 that Dec. I loved it then and still do these 33 years later.
This song is awesome, I've loved this song since I first heard it at age 12, in 1976. Perfect lead vocals bounce between Barry and Robin seamlessly and quickly intertwines a perfect 3 part harmony in chorus. Love this video. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my...brings back very good memories. I very muchly remember this song. Those gentlemen have always been very talented. The wonderful, rather tight harmonies, good melody lines. Always a pleasure to listen to.
God Bless these gentlemen; god bless Maurice you truly are missed.

You know it's true!
The harmony on the song is also sublime, but the little bit of xylophone is also quite nice! But the bass-line carries the day. ;)

That and the key changes. The great songs all seem to have at least one.
