At any rate, Grandmixer D.ST is greatly appreciated, not for this incidental appearance - which seemed more for old times sake than for anything else - , but for his being a pioneer in the field of turntablism. He may no longer be on top of his game, but the man is a legend, who inspired a whole new generation of turntablists. That deserves respect.
@irlupe You're right, my friend. DXT is the name he goes by these days, but he used to go by the name of D.ST. Whenever I refer to the Grandmixer, I tend to use his old name. Must be my age, I guess ;-)...
@sheshaman wow first off you have THE worst grammar. Like sheesh, and second, nu-mark turntables arent the worst. Nu-marks are used by some of the most known dj's you tool.
You say that cuz you have numark probably, but after few years when you buy Vestax, or sth similar, You'r gonna say: "Damn! This guy called sheshaman was right! Numark is really fucked up! I have to find him and tell him how smart and better then me he is!" So keep playing on Numakr, when you start become really Dj, then we talk.
Grandmixer DXT's scratch technique was terrible also in 1982, but it could seem quite pretty at that time (after all, he was a pioneer in this field). But now, while watching this video, I have the impression he has completely forgotten how to use a turntable!!!
i have to agree with you, after hearing him scratch its pretty spun out to believe to think that this guy is looked up to by the likes of q-bert, z trip and craze
This shit is weak...no offence to grand mixer but the band is weak as fuck

That's because the needles were messed up. Stop hating on a brother. If it wasn't for him, you wouldn't be able to tap your feet. Give Respect.
