I read an article that pitted the Xterra Off Road against an FJ and an H3, all stock and it cleaned up. I've ordered the Volant cold air intake and cat back exaust for mine. :)

@jdm6446 hey guys i have an 02 with 140k on it its my first xterra great condition love it to death, im driving xterra rest of my life. but i wanna know if it is a bit louder than most regular vehicle some simple vibrations nothing crazy but is it normal.shes runs superbly. oh and those vibes are only in idle or when im parked. but nothing major sound more quite than some regulars. but just wanna know if its normal. thanks

well i dunno what u been doing to ur x but it looks like u havent done the right things i have an 07 xterra and im doing 0 to 60 in 6.9 to 7.0 secs i put k and n intake magnaflow muffler and superchips cortex

what are you talking about? Fj's weigh 4290lb, Xterra's weigh 4400, and neither my friends or mine are supercharged, and we have yet to race...but it will be soon

You sure about that? cause stock Fj's are actually faster by .1 of second in the 0-60...unless you have a new intake, headers, exhaust, superchip, maybe a supercharger, and some low profile street performance tires...but then you'd be just another mall crawling fag making an offroad machine into something its not

Buddy I owned an FJ and I still own a xterra I have a 2009 xterra I raced my old 2007 FJ cruiser, both stock the xterra is much fast cause the CVT transmission so get your head out of ur ass, the xterra has more hp and tq and is lighter cause all toyota's have

dude neither one of those cars have CVT transmissons....the xterra either comes with a 6 speed manual or a 5 speed automatic, the FJ is the same

i payed 300 for a K&N intake for my 05 pathfinder nd i got a flowmaster muffler on it sounds sick when i floor it but when im driving slow it can get annoying sumtimes

05-06 xterra/frontier has very slightly higher hp/tq rating than 07+ but the newer models have more safetly and electronics/handling features.

i had an 06 frontier and i would beat my roommates rx8 off the line for a good distance.

yes, i think that the nismo intake is good. i just wanted to go with something that was made for it. i am sure the kn is good too but i just wanted to stick with the nismo.

its a nismo cold air intake, i think they do have one for the 03. its awesome, i had it on for about a year now and it gets better gas milage and you notice the difference off the line. and its loud! this clip does not do it justice. hopefully i will get a better more clearer sounding video up.
