his strategy and his words are so warrior and that of a conquerer. People always called him stupid and an animal ect ect but they did not understand the man. The man was a living warrior not so unlike or disimilar of Alexander the Great (which he once compared himself too during his boxing beef with UNholyfield) to understand Tyson you have to understand a warrior from a primitive and different time. and if you want to blame him for his out burst and actions then blame his torture growing up
at 150 pounds ten years ago even 200 pounders couldn't mess with me and i'd wear anyone down. was able to throw bombs that'd hurt anyone and a knack for never getting hit hard. with the endurance i had i was in controll of everything whether he knew it or not. have taken two blind side cheap shots in my time and it just turned my head. it's not about who your fighting, it's about being in the moment and never looking away and the sight of your own blood not making you fold. if only Cus D'amato had 5 more years in him .. we may have possibly seen the most complete boxer of all time... he would have been on lock.. mega focused from start till end.. none of the rape BS, none of this i'm the baddest man BS... if you watch his interviews while Cus was about, he was modest, professional, respectful...but he was just as intimidating, ruthless, explosive, probably even more so at that time because he wasn't fighting with anger and an ego..

I know what you mean about Fraizer... bit like Nigel Benn "you can tag me if I can tag you" kinda style. Foreman would be too bag and powerfull. @Bjoernbaks Tyson was a talent. His speed and power could match almost any heavyweight boxer throughout history but he didn't know how to switch it up. Had he fought Ali, Ali would have boxed behind his jab and Used his height and reach to prevent Tyson coming in on the inside and Tyson wouldn't have got close enough. Similar with Foreman, accept Foreman had the power in his double jab right to wabble anyone which made him even more of a danger for a fighter like Tyson. Spinks didn't turn up
@hanginghimself I think you´re right about Ali. Tyson would´nt be able to get to him. It would be better fights with the Foreman, Frazier, Norton types. Lennox Lewis, Muhammad Ali and a prime Larry Holmes would cause serious problems for Tyson.
@Bjoernbaks I think Foreman would fight Tyson at distance or on the inside as he was too big and powerful for Tyson. Up close he'd lean and smother and at distance jab and combo with power. Norton would beat Tyson. Tyson proved against Lewis in 2002 he can't handle a fighter who moves behind a jab. Norton did, by beating Ali which tells me he would probably be able to out think Tyson. Altho Tyson against holmes showed he can beat a good jabber. Holmes at that time was past his very best tho.
@prjerry7 Tyson was passed his prime, no doubt about that. Lewis too was slowing down, especially his footwork/movement which was always his downfall. That said both in their prime i'd still pick Lewis. Mainly because of his ability to box from a distance with the jab. Thing is Tyson may only need one special punch like Rahman did against Lewis. So it is a hard one to call. I think Lewis underestimated Rahman tho whereas Tyson he'd know full well to keep the fight at arms length

Ali has the title of the "greatest" and who am I to say otherwise. However in his prime Iron Mike Tyson was the most imposing, awesome, intimidating, powerful, explosive, devastating, deadly, focused and best boxer I have ever seen and probably will ever see. Simple............
@deanblaze2000 Ali is considered the Greatest but thats because of his infamous exploits out of the ring. Tyson COULD and SHOULD have been the greatest HW ever(youngest HW champ in history - a record which IMO will never fall) but his inner demons prevented him from attaining true greatness. Still one of a kind...
@mistersuperfly1 It was everything you stated plus his troubled childhood growing up without parents basically, DON KING, and his dumb ass ex-wife Robin givens, plus desiree washington all together led to his downfall, words dont do justice to what i feel.. tyson very well may have still been boxing to this day undefeated to this day.. but who knows :(
@deanblaze2000 very , very true he lost it slowly after the fallout with Teddy Atlas you can see a lot of degeneration in his technique, but forgetting all the fear ,brute power , mind-boggling speed etc , the young TYSON was the best BOXER in that era.
@deanblaze2000 Yeah, way I see Ali is regarded as the greatest because of his long successful career in which he faced incredible opposition (and his skills obviously). Mike had a lot of ups and downs and never achieved his full potential (largely due to the fact that Cus died) so you couldn't regard him to be the greatest based on his career.
However, in his prime I believe his boxing skills would have left any boxer ever lying on the canvas wondering what the fuck have I gotten myself into.
@deanblaze2000 Bro even Ali said at Arsenio Hall Show that if he would've been fought with Mike , Mike would ve kicked his ass cuz he said that he was faster that was his advantage but Mike was very very fast and very very strong also this were Mike s advantages ! In my opinion nobody had more potential to be the greatest than Mike
@deanblaze2000 "best boxer" lolol thats funny shit. tyson crushed cans bro. tyson lost every single one of his higher profile fights. tyson never defeated a truly great boxer, he lost them all and that is fact. tyson was a don king creation, a marketing tool to extract as much money as possible from the gullible fans, same as hollywood or music industry promoting the next big thing. also his mind was weak and a strong mind is the most important when competing at high levels
@ekultus Of course your joking but just in case. That's one way to look at it. Unfortunately the rest of the boxing world doesn't agree with you. Probably because you couldn't be further from reality and don't know what your talking about. He was the youngest boxer ever to win the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles, the only heavy weight to win each individually, all at only 20 years old.
As for him being a Don King creation? you'll find the ALL credit goes to Cus D'Amato. Think before you speak
@deanblaze2000 i was not joking, tyson was the ultimate can crusher. once tyson lost to douglas he was done mentally. talk about a weak minded person. the greatest of anything cannot have such a weak mind
@ekultus what r u talking about? How could a mentally weak fighter intimidate his opponents so obviously, defend his titles nine times, win them at such a young age. Tyson made many mistakes most of which were his own fault, some were not, but all means he does not have the title of the greatest. But in his prime he beat the best heavy weights in the ring at the time with devastating effectiveness. At a time when the division was far superior than it is now.
@deanblaze2000 What great fighters did he beat? I doubt he beat even one hall of fame fighter. Tysons era was the weakest era of all time. And don't say the present era is weak just because 2 white giants own it. Vitali would kill tyson just like lennox did.
@ekultus ever heard about Michael Spinks? Larry Holmes? Open a book, google, find out for yourself.....It's obvious you haven't done that either your stupid or too young to know any better...either way i'm done with you.
@deanblaze2000 meh spinks sucks and holmes had to come out of retirement. and whether im too stupid or too young makes no difference as you're just another biased nigger
@ekultus no one is disputing that he came of the boil. But 58 fights W50(44KO) - L6 - D0 is a lot of tin cans. All the greats have lost at some point and like all the greats he regained the heavy weight titles. His behaviour outside the ring and how it effected him means he's not the "greatest" not his loss to douglas. You cant erase a fighters achievements before a loss? In his prime he was too fast, too strong, too much for any other fighter near him. Proven baddest man on the planet. Sorry!
@Mr3treking I don't think he ever got over the loss of Cus, people say Buster Douglas was the begining of the end, but it was actually Cus's death. With him by Tyson's side, who knows what he could have achieved...
Ali had the best foot work and foot speed n boxing history, his weaving action was astonishing hella fast hands and deceptive power x a high boxing iQ he would of out box'd tyson all day, like the great bruce lee said "the fastest hands he ever saw belonged to that of a blk man" -muhamed ali.
@dannytodd100 Bums? I would'nt go that far being that ali won the first fight in 63 after being knock'd down, but predicted he would win by tko inside of 5 and did, then again in 66 by tko,yes i seen the fights cooper was tuff. Cooper was no bum, ali not bum, and tyson is no bum.
@vvyperr7 out box tyson all day??? put video of tyson and ali side by side and tell me tyson is not faster! there are lightweights that arent as fast as tyson was. hand speed, footwork, ring awareness.... the only thing ali was better at than tyson was running his mouth PERIOD
@vvyperr7 I am biased I suppose...lol Iron Mike was my childhood hero, and to this day I still take it personally when someone says something negative about him. sorry I jumped at you like that ><
both in their primes... Ali would already be under Tyson's thin skin before bell rings, he would taunt and taunt tyson from his lisp to his style of boxing. Ali would come prepared with a precision game plan and out-box and out-maneuver tyson. Ali can weather Tyson's storm of punches we all know who has the best chin in boxing history. Tyson has explosive power but not much of stamina,in a longer bout Ali would easily win.
@fivealive2 when cus was alive there was not a man on the planet, past or present that could compete with tyson. I have no doubt with alis speed he could have slipped some heavy punches. but mike was too fast and too accurate with his punches, before cus died, watching mike fight was like poetry in motion man, he was in a zone
ali Vs tyson in their primes?? who the fuck knows...that question is a KOAN...much like, the sound of a tree falling in the woods and if no one is there to hear it will it make a sound? somethings have no answer...
now thats what i call a natural born fighter just look at those moves, and beeing insecure while training can be good makes u train even harder the harder u inmagine the fights gonn be the easyer it prob is in the ring
Mike Tyson was the last fighter to fight ANY and EVERYBODY. For 3 straight years Tyson had 12 fights. That's 4 fights a year, now adays guys want to have "warm up" fights against easy opponents just to prepare themselves and build up their record. Tyson fought ANYONE ANYTIME ANY OCCASION. Name me somebody that's not from outside the U.S. who wasn't over the hill like Mosely that Mayweather fought. Zab Judah was a bunch of hype and Mayweather didn't even have a resume until 06. Mike Tyson GOAT!!
He's not the greatest! He didn't beat anyone who was great and in their prime! Nobody can argue that! He had potential but never proved it. Sorry Mike...
@ImSeriousification Michael Spinks was on his way out when Tyson destroyed him. Nobody can say that Tyson wasn't a great fighter but he was far from the greatest. Holyfield and Lewis both smoked him in simple fashion not to mention Douglas who was a nobody at the time. Intimidation was a huge factor in his success but when a fighter who could box was not afraid, it was a real problem for him. I loved watching him as much as the next guy but there have been a lot of better fighters than Tyson
@cjasonw Spinks was in his prime, had an undefeated record. Tyson's Prime years were the 1980's. He fought Lewis in 2002 and holyfield in 1996.
He fought holyfield in 1996, 1 year after getting out of prison. I doubt they have much boxing training in prison. You can't Judge tyson by his late 1990's-2000's fights.
Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Trevor Berbick, Razor Ruddick, Peter McNeeley. Those were all GREAT boxers, and got annihilated by a prime Mike Tyson.
@cjasonw However, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and i respect yours. Everyone has an opinion on who the greatest was, but in my opinion, Tyson is by far the greatest heavyweight in boxing history.
@cjasonw You are an idiot if you don't think that Tyson is isn't one of the greatest boxers of all time. Even Ali said that Tyson would have killed him in a fight.
@YankeeHurricane I didn't say he wasn't a great fighter. When Ali said that, he had been watching Tyson knockout nobodies for several years. It was impressive and nobody will deny that. The thing is, he screwed it all up before actually proving that he was the greatest. As a champion you need to hang in there and prove yourself against the best in order to be considered the best. Tyson never stood the test of time. Ali at least won and lost against the best competition of his time. Solid!
Greatest heavyweight boxer of all time. Say Ali cause that's what the mainstream world says. A prime Mike Tyson trumps a Prime Ali. And Tyson was fast, and had power. Ali wouldn't have handled an onslaught that Tyson could bring in his prime.
@XMetalChefX Well said. Lets not forget that during his prime, he was caged twice. Many more heavy weights would have experienced his rath and have been hammered into the canvass, if they didn't cage him up inside a prison twice. Iron Mike Tyson IS the greatest heavy weight champion boxer ever. Period.
@FappinJack If he wasn't such a $hit he wouldn't have been caged twice. He was just another thug who happened to hit hard but couldn't think his way out of being STUPID!!
@XMetalChefX but provided mike had cus on his side or else ali would have got inside his head with his trash talkin. He needed cus to re-assure him. Physically yea he woulda dominated ali.
mike is legendary. fuck chorizo

@deanblaze2000 i was not joking, tyson was the ultimate can crusher. once tyson lost to douglas he was done mentally. talk about a weak minded person. the greatest of anything cannot have such a weak mind
ekultus 3 weeks ago
@ekultus what r u talking about? How could a mentally weak fighter intimidate his opponents so obviously, defend his titles nine times, win them at such a young age. Tyson made many mistakes most of which were his own fault, some were not, but all means he does not have the title of the greatest. But in his prime he beat the best heavy weights in the ring at the time with devastating effectiveness. At a time when the division was far superior than it is now.
deanblaze2000 3 weeks ago
@deanblaze2000 What great fighters did he beat? I doubt he beat even one hall of fame fighter. Tysons era was the weakest era of all time. And don't say the present era is weak just because 2 white giants own it. Vitali would kill tyson just like lennox did.
ekultus 3 weeks ago
@ekultus whatever dude, for some reason you just don't want to give the guy any credit. That's your loss.
You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink.....Good luck to you.
deanblaze2000 3 weeks ago
@deanblaze2000 What hall of fame fighter did Tyson beat?
ekultus 3 weeks ago
@ekultus ever heard about Michael Spinks? Larry Holmes? Open a book, google, find out for yourself.....It's obvious you haven't done that either your stupid or too young to know any better...either way i'm done with you.
deanblaze2000 3 weeks ago
@deanblaze2000 meh spinks sucks and holmes had to come out of retirement. and whether im too stupid or too young makes no difference as you're just another biased nigger
ekultus 3 weeks ago
@ekultus LOL!!! i'm white you moron!!! Not that it matters. LOL!!! Brainwashed Idiot......
deanblaze2000 3 weeks ago
@ekultus LOOOOOOOL!!!!!! At least now I know why you don't want to give him any credit. Shame the reasons are nothing to do with boxing.
deanblaze2000 3 weeks ago
@deanblaze2000 So you're nothing but a TV loving, Jew loving, politically correct retard. Also who cares boxing is dead.
ekultus 3 weeks ago
@ekultus no one is disputing that he came of the boil. But 58 fights W50(44KO) - L6 - D0 is a lot of tin cans. All the greats have lost at some point and like all the greats he regained the heavy weight titles. His behaviour outside the ring and how it effected him means he's not the "greatest" not his loss to douglas. You cant erase a fighters achievements before a loss? In his prime he was too fast, too strong, too much for any other fighter near him. Proven baddest man on the planet. Sorry!

This is really inspiration that's why I have been doing what mike tyson described in this video. Still undefeated in Wii Boxing

Tyson is the best to ever get in a ring when tyson had cus no one want to fight him
Mr3treking 1 month ago
@Mr3treking I don't think he ever got over the loss of Cus, people say Buster Douglas was the begining of the end, but it was actually Cus's death. With him by Tyson's side, who knows what he could have achieved...

It's too bad he couldn't control his downward spiral in his personal life years ago, because he's kind of a genius in his approach to boxing.

Ali had the best foot work and foot speed n boxing history, his weaving action was astonishing hella fast hands and deceptive power x a high boxing iQ he would of out box'd tyson all day, like the great bruce lee said "the fastest hands he ever saw belonged to that of a blk man" -muhamed ali.
vvyperr7 1 month ago
@vvyperr7 henry cooper would knock both bums out with 1 punch lol!!!
dannytodd100 1 month ago
@dannytodd100 Bums? I would'nt go that far being that ali won the first fight in 63 after being knock'd down, but predicted he would win by tko inside of 5 and did, then again in 66 by tko,yes i seen the fights cooper was tuff. Cooper was no bum, ali not bum, and tyson is no bum.
vvyperr7 1 month ago
@vvyperr7 out box tyson all day??? put video of tyson and ali side by side and tell me tyson is not faster! there are lightweights that arent as fast as tyson was. hand speed, footwork, ring awareness.... the only thing ali was better at than tyson was running his mouth PERIOD
rjboule35 1 month ago
@rjboule35 I can feel your opion. But ali did have skillz and a motor mouth lol.
vvyperr7 1 month ago
@vvyperr7 I am biased I suppose...lol Iron Mike was my childhood hero, and to this day I still take it personally when someone says something negative about him. sorry I jumped at you like that ><
rjboule35 1 month ago
both in their primes... Tyson has explosive power but not much of stamina,in a longer bout Ali would easily win.
fivealive2 1 month ago
@fivealive2 when cus was alive there was not a man on the planet, past or present that could compete with tyson. I have no doubt with alis speed he could have slipped some heavy punches. but mike was too fast and too accurate with his punches, before cus died, watching mike fight was like poetry in motion man, he was in a zone
rjboule35 1 month ago
ali Vs tyson in their primes?? who the fuck knows...that question is a KOAN...much like, the sound of a tree falling in the woods and if no one is there to hear it will it make a sound? somethings have no answer...
trufiend138 1 month ago
i argue with my dad all the time. prime for prime, i know tyson could take ali... i know it. video gives me chills.
- mike tyson. greatest fighter ever.

it gets to me when people say ali would destroy tyson. both in their prime i reckon tyson would knock ali out not easy but i reckon so.

schwimandponies 1 month ago
LeadSamurai87 1 month ago
He's not the greatest! He didn't beat anyone who was great and in their prime! Nobody can argue that! He had potential but never proved it. Sorry Mike...
cjasonw 1 month ago
@cjasonw Read more about him before you make dumb comments like this.
Michael Spinks. "Nuff said.
ImSeriousification 1 month ago
@ImSeriousification Michael Spinks was on his way out when Tyson destroyed him. Nobody can say that Tyson wasn't a great fighter but he was far from the greatest. Holyfield and Lewis both smoked him in simple fashion not to mention Douglas who was a nobody at the time. Intimidation was a huge factor in his success but when a fighter who could box was not afraid, it was a real problem for him. I loved watching him as much as the next guy but there have been a lot of better fighters than Tyson
cjasonw 1 month ago
@cjasonw Spinks was in his prime, had an undefeated record. Tyson's Prime years were the 1980's. He fought Lewis in 2002 and holyfield in 1996.
He fought holyfield in 1996, 1 year after getting out of prison. I doubt they have much boxing training in prison. You can't Judge tyson by his late 1990's-2000's fights.
Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Trevor Berbick, Razor Ruddick, Peter McNeeley. Those were all GREAT boxers, and got annihilated by a prime Mike Tyson.
ImSeriousification 1 month ago
@ImSeriousification Peter McNeeley a great fighter? hahahaahhah
Gr33nFather 1 month ago
@cjasonw However, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and i respect yours. Everyone has an opinion on who the greatest was, but in my opinion, Tyson is by far the greatest heavyweight in boxing history.
ImSeriousification 1 month ago
@cjasonw You are an idiot if you don't think that Tyson is isn't one of the greatest boxers of all time. Even Ali said that Tyson would have killed him in a fight.
YankeeHurricane 1 month ago
@YankeeHurricane I didn't say he wasn't a great fighter. When Ali said that, he had been watching Tyson knockout nobodies for several years. It was impressive and nobody will deny that. The thing is, he screwed it all up before actually proving that he was the greatest. As a champion you need to hang in there and prove yourself against the best in order to be considered the best. Tyson never stood the test of time. Ali at least won and lost against the best competition of his time. Solid!
cjasonw 1 month ago

SMWhit3out 1 month ago
Greatest heavyweight boxer of all time. Say Ali cause that's what the mainstream world says. A prime Mike Tyson trumps a Prime Ali. And Tyson was fast, and had power. Ali wouldn't have handled an onslaught that Tyson could bring in his prime.
XMetalChefX 1 month ago
@XMetalChefX Well said. Lets not forget that during his prime, he was caged twice. Many more heavy weights would have experienced his rath and have been hammered into the canvass, if they didn't cage him up inside a prison twice. Iron Mike Tyson IS the greatest heavy weight champion boxer ever. Period.
