  • This is partially due to the reduced amount of permeable land in the area created by development that is not properly controlled. An example is the "light" industrial park on hwy. 521. If you read SCDHEC's review of this project, it does not take into account the runoff created by the development and how it feeds into the tributary behind the park. This tributary is less than 1/4 mile from Sugar Creek.
