Yes, he made quite a few transcriptions and paraphrases. I believe that he only recorded two: I have posted his Frühlingsimmen waltz on here already.- go to my playlists. (He also left some piano rolls, which include his super paraphrase of the Aschenbrödel ["Cinderella"] waltzes, and a roll called paraphrase on Die Fledermaus - but I expect that is a mistitling of this Soirees de Vienne piece.)
ALFRED GRUNFELD (born at Prague July 4, 1852 - January 4, 1924 in Vienna) was an Austrian pianist and composer.

I wonder if this is a Bosendorfer of that period.

have you tried Scherbakov's Strauss recordings? the Bosendorfer there is exquisitely brilliant!

Fun, I have the original 78rpm of this record at home... :) Do you have any of his 1899 records?
Greetings, Rolf (click "otterhouse" above, to hear some of my record collection)

Yes, browse my playlist of Grunfeld and you'll find one of the 1899 records of Grieg's Papillon.

A Perfect example of 2 hands synced together while frequently using 2 different Central tempi.
