The person who hit him likely feels very very horrible and is suffering right now. In the heat of the moment, it is something that could cross anyone's mind - to drive away in fear of prosecution. It's a shame, though, as you live with the guilt and it will eat away at you forever. Peace to Travis, and peace and forgiveness to the driver who meant him no harm.
