I think sylar is a very emotive character, for what he represents for the human race. He was using his ability quite happily to fix watches, but then learned he could use it for something darker, more powerful. In the same way, a captain of a football team could use those skills to lead an army, a recreational mathematician could calculate how much damage an atomic bomb would cause, and a doctor knows the best way to kill someone

2:05 to 3:37 is creepy, horrifying, and hauntingly enchanting all at the same time. Incredibly unnerving and disturbing. Perfect for the part of the show when he's killing the cheerleader. That part's always hard to watch thanks to this theme. Best piece of music in the whole show. Well, tied with all the other great themes.

First i hated sylar. I hated him because of his crimes and i wanted him to die but when i found out that he didnt kill only for to get abilities, that he killed because his hunger i thought "wow he isnt so bad character after all"

@tecnopro90000 That's what made you change your opinion about him? I thought he was badass from the moment Zachary Quinto showed his face. Sylar is so complex and villainous but at the same time so fractured and confused. I like him because I can identify myself with him in that we both want to be special.

Sylar's my favorite character in the series because, imo, he's the only one that changes very drastically. The rest of the cast changes as well, but Sylar just takes the cake.

His hunger for power and to understand everything... The creepiest moment I found was when he stalked claire through her home... The chilling breathing from this song told us all that the inevitable was knocking on claires door.

I think that once sylar absorbed empathy from lydia that gabriel found his way through and managed to beat sylars hunger.

@thomas007 I always saw Sylar as a character that is morally righteous villain; an anti-hero if you will (anti-heroes are those who's morality and actions are questionable, not completely evil or good). He's not a mass murderer and only seeks to kill those that would satiate his ability's hunger.

Though he is portrayed as the villain throughout the entire series, there are moments when he too, despite his proclamation "I hate heroes", displays the qualities of one.
