Years ago, we were all forced to buy auto insurance, with the promise that they'd keep auto insurance costs in check. We all know how well that's gone. Now, they want to force us to buy private health insurance, with the promise that they'll keep health insurance costs in check. No thank you. I've never paid a cent for health care, and haven't even spoken to a doctor since 1980.

@CPAsheldon - I think the Dems would have to get to Brown's support throuhg an exemption, but even then I don't think Brown would buck his party's leaders and support a plan.  If he did, I would be impressed.

Lets see....I have been a union carpenter in Chicago for 28 years....problem is they are pricing us out of the workforce. $41 hr....benefits are another $40. Companies can't make a profit. Net cost to put me to work is $81 per hr. Alot of fellow union members scam the companies to get more hours including overtime. Businesses are failing because our unions are killing them. More and more jobs are going to non union companies. We needed to freeze our benefits and salaries years ago.

Let's see....I have never been a member of any union. I have worked in call centers, and have lately worked "self-employed" as a paralegal coder. My hourly wages are nothing compared to yours, yet I'm out of work anyway, due to outsourcing to India. I've never scammed any company for more hours, including overtime. The businesses I've worked for aren't failing, and unions were never involved. Our benefits never existed, and our wages were frozen years ago.

We can only "HOPE" that neither of these lobbyist written "health care" bills from going forward. Those who want, haven't read either bills, or are anti constitution. Forced private insurance with criminal penalty for not participating is only a part of what these criminal bills are about.
