I remember playing this at the arcade in Totowa (now closed) and loved it!!! Thanks to PSN i can beat the game!!!

Man. The movie theater in my town was built in 1991 and this game was there from day one. Incredibly, it stayed in that spot for almost 15 years. Other games in that tiny arcade room all came and went over time, but that game stayed right where it was. I started to think it would never leave. I guess it must have finally broken down at some point, because I'm sure it was still raking in the quarters.

They arent cheating according to our rules we set for longplays. The reason is that savestates do not alter any of the game rules, like giving you more health etc. All savestates do is manipulate the luck - if someone was skilled enough he would be able to do the same thing without savestates!

The point is:

Longplays try to show the game like a movie and in the highest video quality possible! The video quality of your videos and those of Lets Plays are bad. Another difference is - unlike Lets Plays, Longplays do not allow commentary!

In Longplays we just want ppl to enjoy watching someone complete the game without using cheats - savestates are not considered cheats by us, as they dont modify the game rules themselves!

@cubex55 I do enjoy both forms of LP. If I'm looking for something with voice acting, then I definitely go for the Longplays. However, if I'm looking for something with story, I'd much prefer the commentary of a Let's Play. Two examples; I would much rather watch Metal Gear Solid as a Longplay, where as Final Fantasy 10, where cutscenes can sometimes be rare in the slew of random battles, I would like someone to be talking, so I prefer that as a Let's Play. Both have their ups and downs.

They want to see how an average person plays the game. Secondly, runs like these show off more of the game (while yours will skip all the minor things that people want to see for nostalgia). But I think that the reason people watch Let's plays instead of using Mame are:

1) They don't actualy know about Mame.

2) They have some moral issues with it.

3) They have 10 year old computers, that can run Youtube, but can't actualy run an emulator without grinding to a halt.

If you end up in these situations, about the only way to see the game again is to watch Let's Plays.

Also, you should know what Tool-Assisted means and what it's purpose is for. People make tool-assisted playthroughs to show what a perfect game looks like by avoiding any kind of damage or dying. As you can see here, this run is far from perfect. In fact, based on how many times cubex died in this game, I'm shocked you somehow consider it tool-assisted.
