  • very good for understanding.

  • thanks to this video, informative.

  • have you thought about alternative treatment like herbal that actually dissolves the plague because it had worked wonders on me.

  • @kurua07 It's plaque not plague.

  • @kurua07 Uh, details? Like?

  • I had a cardiac arrest in 2004 and was thankfully revived at age 53. They placed 3 cypress stents in. I had a problem a couple weeks later and they went back in and added a 4th because of a tear next to one of them.

Five months ago I had another angioplasty and they have closed 50 percent in 7 years. I understand it is not plaque, but cell growth. HUMMM! Looks like time is running out again for me. But I thank the Lord for the last 7 wonderful years with my family.

  • thankyou all for seiing this video!!@thnksssssssssssss!! @rajdude

  • THANKS BOPIS!

  • Great video. I got my stent July 26 2010.

Chest pain. Cardiac Arrest in ambulance, defibrillatored. Age 44. Great to be alive ;)

  • My dad just had this procedure today and this video makes me worry a lot less! Thanks.

  • I just had this on the 21st of June, and they put in 4 stents. The most pain I felt was when the nurse ripped off the cathater and tape. Otherwise it was a breeze. Mine was blocked 99% and I was very lucky. Don

  • I'm 42 and just had this done. I was feeling heavy pressure on the center of my chest which would come and go, but at one point it lasted 5-10 minutes. I was scared I was gonna have a heart attack and die so I called 911.

  • it is easy to make out about the process

  • I am afraid of this so much in a way but my condition keeps getting worse and I cannot pull out of it like I used to. I am not afraid of it, because I see as I age I have to have it but I still get nervous about this, I have been drinking alot of beer when my pain flares and it works good but the pain is back sooner now.

  • thnx for this video. this help me a lot to explain my family.

  • thnx for this video. this help me a lot to explain my family.

  • I don't understand - doesn't the blowing up of the balloon prevent blood from passing through the vein?

  • Comment removed

  • @madsere

the balom blow up in order to '' open '' the narrowing ( stenosis ) of the artery and the stent to avoit a previus stenosis ....with this procedure the blood flows without any trouble on the way to the heard ... the balom blow up just the necesary time to open the stenosis so the momentary oclusion is not a big problem in the bood flow ...

  • @bacoTcrow

I see, so it just blows up for a short moment. Amazing that is enough to open a stenosis.

  • @madsere its only for 15-20 seconds - the heart can tolerate this short blockage

  • Thank u very much for explaining this process in a simplified manner....

  • Very good.Easy to understand...many thanks.

  • what should you do after an angiogram is performed? How long of bed rest should you have after the procedure? ..Is it dangerous?

  • thnx for this video. this help me a lot to explain my father ....

  • Easy to understand. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks it is helpful info. By the way what is a mild heart attack?

  • or you could do cardio and blast the fat away from with the moving blood flow induced by the rapid flow of blood from your target bhp from exercise. but... 99% of people are fat lazy slobs who watch TV in their spar time !instead of getting their heart rate up over 130 bpm from a mountain bike . those who say it,s hereditary is bullshit! You need vigorous exercise!

  • stent

  • I suffered a mild heart attack 15 years ago. My doctor put some kind of tube in my groin area. But he explained the procedure to my husband and not me. I wonder if this was what the doctor did to me. All I remember is that he put some kind of tube up my groin area. Can anyone tell me if I possiblly had this stent surgery? Stupid question I know, but there might be other procedures that involve inserting a tube up your groin, this is why I'm asking.

  • I had a heart attack last month.

It's normal to have this done after a heart attack.

I bet you had an angioplasty, but probable not any stentings.

  • It's not painful at all, I didn't even feel a needle prick. It's really not in the groin, but in your leg near your groin area. And it's fast, it was all over in 4 minutes.

  • They do the angioplasty after a heart attack to see what your problem is.

It releases a dye in your veins near your heart to show the flow of blood near your heart. The doctors and even myself could watch it live on a TV screen through some sorta Xray thing.

If they see a blockage or 2, they then use stents to hold them open, and you can go home the same day.

  • During my angioplasty, to showed to many blockages to count, over 80 in one vein.

It showed that stents couldn't and would help me, and I needed open heart surgery.

  • wow, amazing footage. see my new song on Youtube at my site songsterhiragana link called "My Stented Heart" and you can hear the mp3 and the lyrics at my blogpost at "amafubme". Had heart attacky on Nov. 6th. Damn these things! Thank God for good doctors and this techno marvel called a stent. Do you have one yet? Fits inside neatly. So far so good

  • They actually say that open heart surgery, tho more painful, is better then stents.

With Stents you have to take medication the rest of your life, they can fail, and don't last for ever.

  • This video makes it very easy to understand. Thank you.

  • thanks for the post.....great help..... :)
