I watched a few minutes of this video...Yes.. u can drag shoot....I fully understand that. However...there is no way u can call what is currently going on in BC2 Drag Shooting. I have bunny Hopped and at the same time moved side to side while attempting to empty my clip into these snipers. On my screen their barrel doesn't move to the correct angle for the head shot before BAMB...1 shot snipe kill or (AUTO AIM/AIM BOT). I have to disagree with ur explanation.
Thanks for that medic tip, it makes such sense but I never even thought of it. I've only recently started sniping in BFBC2 having been one of those guys that leaves the squad if its got alot of recons in it, and I have to say getting a long range headshot where you've accounted for bullet drop is the most satisfying thing
@Lamark707 not true. you can definitely still dragshoot, bullets just travel slower and it's more difficult. and you can still kill in 1 shot with a headshot. check out ali3nzw00t channel, he's got several dragshot videos.
I would say dragshooting is the way to go when in close combat as sniper. And maybe shooting moving targets like helicopters but for that one has to have a feeling of the bullet speed and the distance to the target.

Its just a matter of practice...the more ya do it, the better you'll get. This isnt anything new, i guess calling it dragshooting makes it sound worthy. Just a video game, skills made mean nothing, its not real.
Is it me, or is this the very essence of twitch gameplay? Doesn't doing this take away from BF's "realism"? The more we exemplify the lack of scope sway or focused breathing, the more we make this game as twichy and arcadelike as Modern Warfare and other games that reward faster reflexes than aiming across range. All this did was show that if you're not quick on the draw with a 16lb rifle then you're at a disadvantage. BFBC2 is losing relevance quickly at this rate.
This isn't ruining any "realism" this game offers. It's for CQC encounters. Switching to your pistol and hopefully getting off a bunch of weak shots can and will get you killed far more often then quickly dispatching them with a rifle.

I like when i see people having their own styles of using weapons on bfbc2 as it opens up the game to a much more fair battle. what works for me may not work for you and vice versa. personally if i am to try out this dragshooting i think i will use the GOL, as is most likely to hit the target and has very decent damage.

I disagree with kill the medic first, take out whoever spots you and moves to engage, if thats the medic, fine, take him out. If its not, make sure he does not spot your shot, wait for him to revive, then take out the guy you killed again, followed by the medic.

IMO this isn't REAL drag shooting because you clearly stop on target when you fire. you are also standing still which makes you easier to hit as well. A real drag shot is one that just goes around quickly dragging past the person and at the exact right time in the drag you pull the trigger, not stop.... then pull. If you wan't an example of someone who can really drag shoot just search for Ekawa's videos in BC2. He does some amazing drag shots.

Great video but, when comparing both drag shooting and quick scoping they are practically the same thing. With drag shooting it seems to be the stepping stone to quick scoping. What I mean by this is that drag shooting teaches you timing, movement of players and to best estimate your shots. Quick scoping is a slightly more advance tactic where the player has already calculated his target without zooming in once. I play as a scout so, drag shooting is only used when I'm locked in a fire fight.

Thats the main thing of my problem^^ im easy to scare so most times scary situations force me to aime anywhere but not at the enemy ( hard to explain maybe u understand me^^)
I use to play this way in SOCOM for the ps2 lol. But I have since grown a fondness for the experience of, as you call it, normal sniping. Though most of your 'normal sniping' clips aren't really normal sniping lol. I get satisfaction from staying hidden, spotting enemies, and if necessary, making a kill or two on critical targets. However, now that you mention it, i have been in a bad situation or two where this may have been useful during counter-sniping.
I just watched this video, played a conquest and calculated how many headshots i get to body shots. It worked out at 24 headshots to 4 body shots. If you dragshot me and dont get the headshot and i know where you are. Then whilst your playing around with the bolt on the sniper, youll be fucked because me and most snipers on this game would have fucked your head up already.
This shit is useless. instead of wasting 6 bullets on a target like you did at 2:22 just aim your target for 2 seconds and kill it in one quick headshot

@Virulent96 the semi autos are pretty bad imho. the an94 is a better choice for that style of play. the vss can be pretty awesome though but you cant really "snipe" with it.

Most people are going to use the GOL and the M24, because the SV98 has a terrible scope. I got M24 and SV98 platinum using 4x scope. I got 4 gold stars on the GOL that way, then started quickscoping/dragscoping with the regular scope and now I have 7 or 8 gold stars on the GOL. Make sure you use the double Y trick when reloading (there should be some vids on YT showing how to do it). If anyone wants to qs/ds with me on Xbox 360, add me: PulsatingCore.

BF3 is far different. You cannot dragshoot anymore. More calculations are required.

Unless you are playing in hardcore mode, a few feet away from the enemy, or the enemy was previously damaged, you won't get a 1-hit kill to the body.

Haha I just got banned for "hacking" doing this. I generally hate snipers. I was in a server with A LOT of snipers. I got pissed and said "OK, YOU GUYS ARE NOOBS..." they say "No we arent sniping takes skill... blah blah blah". I'm like "OK, heres how much skill it takes to snipe..." and started dragshooting. An enemy got so mad he joined my squad and watched me. He says "NICE AIMBOT TOXIC..." and as you would guess everyones like "I KNEW IT..." "HACKER... OMFG BAN HIM AHHHH" lol

I use to play this way in SOCOM for the ps2 lol. But I have since grown a fondness for the experience of, as you call it, normal sniping. Though most of your 'normal sniping' clips aren't really normal sniping lol. I get satisfaction from staying hidden, spotting enemies, and if necessary, making a kill or two on critical targets. However, now that you mention it, i have been in a bad situation or two where this may have been useful during counter-sniping.

I just watched this video, played a conquest and calculated how many headshots i get to body shots. It worked out at 24 headshots to 4 body shots. If you dragshot me and dont get the headshot and i know where you are. Then whilst your playing around with the bolt on the sniper, youll be fucked because me and most snipers on this game would have fucked your head up already.

This shit is useless. instead of wasting 6 bullets on a target like you did at 2:22 just aim your target for 2 seconds and kill it in one quick headshot

@anichiba no quickscoping has been in cod forever it was just harder and less used wihout sleigh of pro and dont talk about how in real life you cant do that with a sniper its a game and quickscoping is still dificult way to use a sniper compared to a 1 burst famas or no recoil acr way the game was ruined since the day it came out when they completeley steroided up the noobtubes with oneman army

what do you think about the 4x scope? because I started using the normal scope with drag scoping and now ive tried it with the 4x scope and it feels horrible...I cant get any good shots with it!!

@Virulent96 the semi autos are pretty bad imho. the an94 is a better choice for that style of play. the vss can be pretty awesome though but you cant really "snipe" with it.

Most people are going to use the GOL and the M24, because the SV98 has a terrible scope. I got M24 and SV98 platinum using 4x scope. I got 4 gold stars on the GOL that way, then started quickscoping/dragscoping with the regular scope and now I have 7 or 8 gold stars on the GOL. Make sure you use the double Y trick when reloading (there should be some vids on YT showing how to do it). If anyone wants to qs/ds with me on Xbox 360, add me: PulsatingCore.
