I grew up in the springs, Went to gorman middle school and Sierra High school. The city is a waste of space on the map. Drug dealers running rampant gang bangers running rampant and people think it is a small podunk town go figure.
Talk about spin zone. Lights were shut off, parks went un-maintained, municipal helicopters were sold, and no matter what Sean and Wayne would like you to believe, it wasn't an attempt to conserve precious fossil fuels just for the sake of planet Earth, it was done as a last resort because the city couldn't pay its bills. It may not be a failed city, but let's not downplay the seriousness of what actually happened.
