  • lol i took my ml320 through way worse

  • @crazybiker420 good! haha ur one of a rare few!

  • i have a ml320 and plan on spending a fair amoun of dough on it to take to the trails to show ppl that it is a capable suv when well equipped and not geared towards onroad driving

  • gotta give him credit for doing that in a 4000lb luxury suv

  • Believe it or not, but the Mercedes plant where they manufacture the M-Class here in Alabama actually has a couple of off-road test courses, or at least back in the day when these first came out (around ten years ago). Nowadays it's okay to manufacture completely useless SUVs, so I have to wonder whether they actually use those test courses now. Decent enough for a Mercedes, but that Cherokee set that ML320 straight, and that Cherokee's design was ten years the ML320's senior.

  • if you knew the least bit about the ml u would know that the main focus of this suv was on road handling more geared towards sedan like handling hence the frame design wow know ur shit b4 u talk ofcourse the cherokee is gonna be better made for off roading first of all, better ground clearence, solid axels, shorter wheelbase ect.

  • I quote, "...it is a capable suv when well equipped and not geared towards onroad driving." Yeah, you didn't negate yourself or anything. Speaking of knowing my shit before I talk (though I type correctly), the Cherokee actually has the exact same ground clearance at the diff as the ML320. Anyway, have fun wasting your money on a completely useless SUV. You'll never get anywhere with independent suspension.

  • independent is costly but much more dependable and can be just as good as solid everyone uses solid because its cheap and works well only downside is they break easily

  • Son, you have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about. Keep pulling that shit out of your ass. Solid is BY FAR more dependable and much stronger. Solid axles are used because they articulate, but for the former two reasons as well. Cheap? Explain why solid axles are used on no-limit, $100,000 rock climbers, then.

  • ok dude ya rock climbers use solid axels but those are like real heavy duty shit u wouldnt use that for a regular off road car and y do all land rovers use independent now ??

they are still good off road i wouldnt want to do much more than the mud snow and some trails i dont want to make my ml320 a fucking rock climber

  • First you say solid axles are cheap and weak, now you say they're heavy duty. Keep negating yourself. Regardless, that's my point; solid axles are far superior for off-road use. If you actually use your vehicle often off-road, you WOULD want solid axles. Land Rovers, just like most all SUVs these days, have become more refined for on-road use rather than off-road use because that's what 99% of buyers do with them. I only mentioned rock climbers to prove to you solid axles are superior off-road.

  • when u get a chance go to my favorites and watch the one with the black jeep wrangler just tell me what u think after that

  • That's great and will work for rough terrain, but for obstacles it's a no go. I find it funny that they use air shocks to accomplish the same thing a solid axle does on its own: articulation. Way more complex for no benefit. Actually, it's more of a hassle because it must be manually articulated and you have to wait for the shocks to adjust. Even then it can't articulate anywhere near as well. View 6 and 6A at the following link tinyurl(.)com / mkq773 (without the parenthesis and spaces).

  • Read this one, too: tinyurl(.)com / kmos4j

  • there is nothing there what is this

  • Yes there is. Again, remove the parenthesis around the . and the spaces around the /.

  • @NFSGamerUSA thats actually very true. solid axles are standard equipment for off-roading. however, for being a vehicle with 4-wheel independant suspension, the ML does manage to handle itself well off road.

  • Land Rovers are less capable off road than they used to be.

  • definatley true they have lost their true utilitarian fuction because there more towards road manners and luxury now but still pretty good on the ruff stuff compared to other brands

  • Anyone got something more stock than this to put up and show what you can do in Hollister?

  • gotta give him credit for doin that with an ml320

  • 4 ETS problem on the ML?
