Hey posemourinho: you may be right ... not saying you aren't right, but ... in one of John Lennon's last interviews he claims to never having written a song about drugs.  The person interviewing him asked about song's like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (and some other's) and if they were about drugs and John Lennon said he never wrote one about durgs. He went on to say that the rumors about some of his songs being about drugs helped their sales and so he never said anything prior about it.

Though it's unfinished, I've always preferred this version to the released version, maybe just because I got Anthology 3 before I had heard the White Album.
