  • Yoko a real artist???

Nigga please......... I'd consider Steve o from jack ass a better artist than that bitch

  • What is this video from?

  • SHES SO HEAVY

  • Mother Superior jumped the g....oh shit...

  • any demo of the happiness is a warm gun bit? the 2nd part of the song

  • i figured out the "yoko" part. capo on the third fret. its an A shape and then a DSUS4 shape and then D

  • @CHSPlurkpark thx

  • i love yoko and george

this was true love and i love yoko she is an amazing artist and shut the fuck up you haters you are a bunch of ignorants if you say yoko is a bitch !

  • 0:16 aw shit...

  • according to Lennon, the title came from the cover of a gun magazine that producer George Martin showed him: "I think he showed me a cover of a magazine that said 'Happiness Is a Warm Gun.' It was a gun magazine. I just thought it was a fantastic, insane thing to say. A warm gun means you just shot something. Like heroin into your arm."

  • yoko your a bitch :(

  • damn you yoko!

  • For the last fuckin' time! Yoko DID NOT "break-up" The Beatles. The Beatles were tired of each other by '68-'69. Man, why's that so hard to comprehend?

  • This song was written about how much John hated Yoko/.

  • @TopTenCrew are you fuckin retarded john hated her so he married her maybe you should just stop talking

  • @wbcjohnlennon

    He hated her

  • @TopTenCrew I have done quite a bit of research on Lennon and I must say he really loved her you retarded piece of shit...good day :D

  • @Tombstone34

Yeah, after she warped his mind, which caused the end of the Beatles.

    Do some research on that./

  • @TopTenCrew thats bullshit whatever

  • why does everyone hate yoko? everyone is entitled to change life and love partners and they end up making decisions that perhaps the entire world doesn't like. john's music was amazing before and after the beatles breakup. perhaps we missed out on more wonderful beatles songs, but without yoko, we would have missed out on amazing songs like this one. and in the end, it's not about us, the beatles and lennon fans. it's about what he wanted and what made him happy.

  • the yoko bit should have been in the song!

  • @Jay4P I AGREE. It sounds really good. but u must agree the final take is bloody brilliant!

  • I also need a fix cause i'm going down

  • i like this version. yoko ono no. yoko ono yes. MOTHER SUPERIOR JUMPED THE GUN!!!!!!!!!

  • i like this version. yoko ono no. yoko ono yes.

  • does anyone know where to get the chords for this version of the song

  • I fuckin love yoko ono part

  • LOL, I would never drive over my own garden with a car xD

  • this footage was not intended for this song...

  • I love this man's voice!

  • It makes me laugh so many people goign to Rolling Stoneageds or Bruce Autumnsteen concerts, if John Lennon was still alive... that would be the real deal

  • Imagine all the great music we would have today and maybe a reunion before george died if that fucker didnt shoot him

  • @Auliciems1 i think the same thing everyday

  • @Auliciems1 ''that fucker'' was sick, he couldn't make a difference between life and death, but he still killed one of this world's greatest geniuses.

  • Oh shit!

  • Great song ,,, It's one of those songs that have inspired me to write my own music...

  • I like at the beginning when John is like Oh Shit!

  • thank god he got rid of that shite about yoko

  • david181993 FTW

  • @IEnjoyHippies LOL epic fail.

  • yoko oh no oh no

    yoko oh no

    oh yes.

    the demo - n

  • @romafe Thats Yoko Ono,

  • wow i never heard this version, it's freakin awesome! i have a cover of this song uploaded to my channel. i'd really appreciate some feedback, thanks

  • "Oh, shit... wrong chord."

  • The White Album version is probably one of my favorite songs ever, but this one is really cool. Gotta love the humanity of this one, even if it is a demo.

  • Yeah-I love all the Anthology songs as they`re radically different 2 the "real"versions-in my mind alot of them are better, but thats maybe `cos I`ve heard the normal versions so many times. Whatever-they`re all genius.

  • Yoko Ono Onoooo

  • at 0:52 you can really tell he loved Yoko ALOT

  • i laugh and cry at this song.. i dont know why.

  • I remember double taking thinking "He said 'Oh shit'? Or is it me...

  • mother superi.... oh shit!!! xD

  • john got it right the first time Yoko Oh NO.

  • warm gun???

    and he die...

    omg..r.i.p

  • Oh Shit!

    Lol

  • its about smack-when i hold you in my arm(not arms)is about the pin(needle),plus,Mother Superior is an inside(if youre in the smack scene)joke-mother superior is so called as she/he has a massive habit!.

  • is that "mother superior" slang only used in england?

  • I dunno-its used in the film"Trainspotting" by the Scottish writer Irvine Welsh.

So I`d say its fairly widely used.

  • Hey posemourinho: you may be right ... not saying you aren't right, but ... in one of John Lennon's last interviews he claims to never having written a song about drugs. The person interviewing him asked about song's like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (and some other's) and if they were about drugs and John Lennon said he never wrote one about durgs. He went on to say that the rumors about some of his songs being about drugs helped their sales and so he never said anything prior about it.

  • hey thundrrd the comment 2 azjeff1971 was supposed 2 go 2 u-I messed up the reply bit.

    (The Cold Turkey comment)

  • Why was I told years ago that this song was about masturbation? Nowadays, I am hearing that it is about heroin. Could someone clear this up?

  • I think John really just wrote it to mean whatever you want it to. He saw the line on a magazine headline and wrote a song about. It could be about drugs, but it's really whatever you want to think it is.

  • im pretty sure its about heroin, thats what i take from it. happiness is a warm gun. being a needle into the arm, quick fix. quick reaction. quick shot?

  • no no no, you got it all wrong. it's a song about masturbating while ON heroin, dear...or doing heroin WHILE masturbating, love.

the choice is in your hands, really :))

  • I`ve done smack and it is impossible to cum whilst on it, so I`ve always found its a pretty rubbish thing to even try as you`ll never reach your goal-also, it reduces your sex drive so much that sex/wankings the last thing on your mind

  • @posemourinho cool story bro

  • I`ll just give you one song that he wrote thats definitely about coming off smack-Cold Turkey-He may have said he never wrote songs about drugs, but I dunno how he explained away THAT one.

Maybe cold turkey sarnies after xmas pissed him off(!)

  • He was talking about Beatle songs. Maybe Cold Turkey is a drug song - it wasn't a Beatle song - and maybe it's not ... there are so many songs that we decide in our minds what they are about - that Mr. Tambourine Man by Dylan that a lot of people say is about a drug dealer. They claim that the line "in the jingle jangle morning I'll come following" is about someone that is in need of a fix ... still, Dylan said it wasn't about drugs and that he actually saw a guy playing a tambourine. Who knows?

  • Let me also add, when I listen to music its mostly that I like a song. I'm not trying to find the underlying meaning of a song- I do put my own thoughts and feelings into everything I listen to - and so I could be wrong and everyone posting here could be wrong...but when it comes down to the heart of the matter...I don't give a shit if he meant one thing and I was just to dumb to figure it out...so I guess it is a drug song ... there, that was painless

  • Mother Superior jumped th-

    Oh shit, wrong chord.

  • @pkcrossing89 Mother superior jumped th- OH SHIT!

  • @TheRealBanjo2 wrong chord lol

  • @pkcrossing89 yeah, very graceful this part.

  • Yoko Ono oh no...Yoko Ono oh yess...

    hahaha

  • Mother superior jumped- oh shit! LOL

  • Yeah, that mistake was awesome, we got to here the "i need a fix" verse again!

  • thats what this parst of the song is about gettien a shot of heroin.every thing back in the old music is has alot metaphores for things.peace

  • oh shit, wrong chord

  • this version is so awsome

  • Why say shit like that for?? U anti-Lennon damn?

And U like Bowie?? They both d!d a Song 2gether-FAME!! wats ur name, wats ur name, wats ur name!!

  • Brilliant! The man was in love, simple as...

  • lennon......legend

  • Yoko Ono oh no, Yoko Ono oh yes!!!

  • I love the beginning. It's hilarious.

  • that's life

  • Smart dudes love stupid sluts all the time. It's a tragedy of life.

  • You're so right man...!

  • I really wouldn't call Yoko a slut. xD

  • she's a bitch'

  • Omg guys shut up about yoko.

John loved her, it is as simple as that, if you respect john then you should at least respect the fact that he loved her.

  • true to the words lol

  • I dont think you can decide on what bases people respect him or not.

  • @david181993 well said lad john loved her profusely n thts good enuf4 me.......

  • @david181993 we will never get over the weirdness of yoko.

  • @david181993 But, then there's always the fans like me that know that John loved Yoko, but I don't believe Yoko was as in love with him. I do think she cared for him, but she did use him in alot of ways which is really sad. I personally think he was better off with Cyn. People say that Cynthia loved John more than anything, which she did, but in alot of pictures you can see the love more on John's face than hers. John needed a mother(Yoko) and Cyn didn't want that she wanted to be a wife.

  • yoko oh no oh.....hell no!!!!!!

but it was cool when he said

    oh shit!!! wrong chord!!!!!

  • there is just something hilarious and hott and special and cute when he says "oh shit! wrong chord." lol.

  • What guitar does he use? His Gibson J-160 or another?

  • Putting Yoko's name in there just ruined the song.

  • talk about yoko being an asshole, what about when Paul broke the Golden Rule and went behind the other three Beatles back's and bought up all the copyrights, what about that?

  • when was that

  • right before the white album

  • no one ever talks about that

    fair fucks to you

    no one ever believes me

    it was lindas father

and the other 3 wanted to go with the stones

  • Yeah. I like this version better.

  • You could enjoy yourself by an unusual source. Thank you very much.

I am a Japanese. English pronunciation is not good, but please hear my copying once.

  • the hands are like christmas

  • Really great version... I dig the video too.

  • great video

  • this is the one ive been lookin for!

  • ''Oh shit... wrong chord.''

There's something magical about hearing John saying the word ''shit''. Hehe...

  • QUOTE:'There's something magical about hearing John saying the word sh*t'

Well then you should like the recording of the Beatles playing 'Shimmy Shimmy' at the Star Club. Lennon changes the 'm' to a 't'. Search YOUTUBE for:

The Beatles Live At The Star Club 24/29 - Shimmy Shake

  • spooky

  • Mesmerizing! "Oh, shit!"

  • oh shit...wrong chord. frigging hilarious

  • :o)#

  • "oh shit wrong chord" . . . ain't that my life in a sentence haha . . . I love all the the little vocal phrasings that Lennon uses in some demos and then eventually leaves on the cutting room floor . . . Too bad they weren't playing live at this point or we'd have a lot of his wonderful vocal improvisations with polished recording to boot haha . . . oh John you crazy old fool

  • mother superior jumped... o shit.

    lol

  • lolol

  • my fav from the White Album

  • Though it's unfinished, I've always preferred this version to the released version, maybe just because I got Anthology 3 before I had heard the White Album.

Anthology 3 also has great versions of songs like Helter Skelter, Sexy Sadie and Cry, Baby Cry which I kindof prefer to the finished versions.

  • I concur with everyone else here. I could listen to him sing that little ditty, "I need a fix 'cause I'm going down" all day long. He just had an amazing talent for music.

  • "Yoko ono, oh no... Yoko ono, oh yes..."

    lol

  • awgh...so sweet.

  • Wonder why that awesome part isn't on the White Album version

  • I love listening to the anthologys. It shows you how some of the songs started. they changed this song a lot when it actually went on the white album.

  • Been listening to this demo all day!its fucking haunting! love lennnons voice!

  • i no exactly how that is

  • Heroin song

  • isnt this sheeeeer brilliance???

  • Mother Superior jump-Oh...shit...Wrong chord.

  • Lennon matermind of music.

We should be bringing peace in 08
