It must have been tough on David seeing Ricky's popularity and fame take off like it did. Ricky got 95% of the attention. David sure handled it with class though.

As a person born in 1945 (and still extreeeeemely young) I will sure miss Dave, as I do Rick, Harriet and Ozzie, I think our family watched most of the TV shows done by the Nelson family, and they are just so special, much too special for my clumsy words to express.

My favorite show of the 50s. Doesnt seem like that long ago. Ricky was a smart aleck, thats what helped the show. RIP David Nelson.

i didnt expect to spend my snow day yesterday reading obituaries. my mom told me about his death yesterday morning. verry sad. i still think 74 is too young. i want to at least make it to 80 in my lifetime. my grandma made it past 80 before being diagnosed with lung cancer last month. she still has time left to fufill her bucket list.

WHAAAAAHHHH!!! I was so sad this morning when I woke up and went on IMDB like I regularly would and discovered that David died. I was so shocked. I was on Ricky's imdb page when I noticed extra pictures. I was like, "Why are they doing that?" so I clicked over to David's page and that's when I read that he had died. It was so upsetting...honestly!!! He was the last remaining Nelson. He will be missed:(
