@TheYOSHIDUDES I'm a Syrian Orthodox Christian from Kerala, India, but I was born in the United States. I have noticed that we share similar surnames with Assyrians and Persian Christians. I don't know if it's derived from the same people. There are two types of Nestorians, Assyrian Nestorians and Persian Nestorians. They might have both been a part of the same church.
To have peace in the Holy Land. Everyone needs to throw out the Papacy and his Jesuits, and have there leaders stop being mason serving the Jesuit Order and Papacy.
Respond to this video... Then the MONOPHYSITES need to give up their heresy. And receive the fourth ecumenical Council in Chalcidon. And recomfirm their faith of the Holy Father of the Seven O'Ecumenical Councils. I would love to see that very much.
Thanks,i never thought about that.I thought it might have had something to do with Egypt.Because Egypt had alot to do with the growth of Ancient Christianity
@umaara100 it reminds u of the staff used by moses while bringing the isaelites to the land of canan, the serpents killed many and when moses prayed to lord ,he asked moses to make a staff with serpents and whoever get snake bitten should look into the staff and they will be saved.
@umaara100 It is a symbol of the bronze serpent that cured the Israelites from snake bites held up by Moses in theSinai Wilderness; As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life - (John 3:14-15)
Hello. I'm coptic orthadox and was wondering if I am allowed to take communion in the syrian orthadox church. Also am I allowed to serve my rank as a decon as I am in the coptic church. Thank you!
Yes. The Coptic Orthodox Church is in FULL communion with the Syriac Orthodox Church, the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, and the Eritrean Orthodox Church.
@TheUria24 israel may be a jewish state but be tolerant for centuries we christians have allowed you to build synagougue in our realm. especially india (cochin jew) you must not be so quick to forget the help you recieved shlomo
@MrCopticforever Seriously I think Arab hatred has gone long enough, most Syriac orhtodox churches now are almost entirely Arabic speaking (still write in Syriac though), you know what is the number 1 thing that determents your ethnicity? The language you speak, I even went to a Syriac orthodox church here in Sweden and asked a few people their if they were Arabs or not, and virtually all of them said "HELL NO" (except a few ones who were not self-haters), but then presided to commune in Arabic
stop arguing, the important thing is that we all believe in Jesus Christ and that we belong to Churches that were founded on his name (unlike Jehova's Whitnesses or Anglicans).
@konig82new yes they have, we - Eastern Orthodox cancelled communion with them in the 5th century. than, we and Catholic church were one.
they only liturgicaly look like us, but they don belong to E.P of Constantinople, we have't one faith and our churches aren't in comunion with each other.
Yes, every orthodox church has its own Patriarchate and is different. Even when Byzance were dominating our church, there were still paying taxes to the Syriac orthodox church. The Patriarchate of Antioch was the first place where 'christians' were mentionned for the first time in history. The Greeks burned during three months the original version of the Bible, which was written in Aramaic. That's why the new testament was found in Greek. The Syriac church is much older.
@dunyaye1 I know about the differences between Constantinople and the southern lands of Byzantium, but these were mostly political and economical, not so much theological.About the Aramaic version of the bible that was burned, is the first time that I listen something like this. Can you please give me some historical sources? Why the Greeks to do that? All the christianic eastern poppulations of the roman empire, including the Greeks, were suffering from the Roman rule, that was not accepting them
the oldest churches in the world (the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Syrian Orthodox) how kind is God to provide us with these ancient and apostolic churches........
it goes to the time of Moses when the people were plague with snakes and Moses saved them with a staff(Exodus). The cross in the middle symbolizes that Christ was the one to do it
i am eastern orthodox, i believe both eastern and oriental orthodox should unite as one again! we have the exact same faith! GOD bless my oriental orthodox brothers and sisters.
@2Nikolaos3 Oriental Orthodox are not monophysites. Monophysites believe that Christ has one divine nature only, miaphysites do not accept this. The word Monophysite was used to denigrate the Oriental Orthodox because they would not fall into line with Rome. In reality, the difference between Chalcedonian and non-Chalcedonian churches is an academic one as the gentleman in the video points out. And as the comment below mine says, the important thing is that we are all Christians.
@rebeccaabdallah yah, I know what you mean. actually words ''Monophysite'' and ''Miaphysite'' have same meaning.
Monophysite means ''one nature''. and has three branches:
Nestorianism - only human nature, Eutychianism - only divine nature and Dioscorianism - divine and human natures combined in one nature. all of these recognize only one nature (but word monophysite came after Chalcdonian council and Nestorians are seldom called Monophysites).
@rebeccaabdallah the difference is that Dioscorians ''Miaphysites'', non-chalcedonians recognize that two natures were mixed in each other, and they didn't obey to ecumenical council of Chalcedon (who recognizes that Christ has two natures, not combined in each other, but they are non-mixed in one Hypostasis, in Christ) and entered the schism.
@TheArabChristian well actually that is not quite possible. The other eastern christian chrurches such as the patriarch of konstantinopole consider your people to be heretics and blasphemers.
Respond to this video... Then the MONOPHYSITES need to give up their heresy. And receive the fourth ecumenical Council in Chalcidon. And recomfirm their faith of the Holy Father of the Seven O'Ecumenical Councils. I would love to see that very much.
@february17able What a fiery remark, and am i to presume that you have read the thousands of documents of the 4 later councils that you should boast with such confidence? My guess is you haven't and it is better to stick by the rule: "silence is golden"
@politicaltourist There is only seven councils that are O'Ecumenical. The other councils are not Christian Orthodox. There are many councils that are not Apostolic in Nature. I read alot of them. Maybe you should stick by the rule: "silence is golden"
@politicaltourist Respond to this video... Then the MONOPHYSITES need to give up their heresy. And receive the fourth ecumenical Council in Chalcidon. And recomfirm their faith of the Holy Father of the Seven O'Ecumenical Councils. I would love to see that very much.
if this is syrian orthodox church, why does not the priest where the caps like the malnkara syrain ortho, whith us only bishops where that bandana like thing on thier heads
this is the REAL church. i don't understand why many people think that christianity is a western religion...it is not. protestant/catholicism are western religions.
'Eesa (alayhissalaam) is with the believers inshaAllah. If you take a human being for God, you will burn in hell for eternity.
