For all of you who have tried to decipher the mangled English this guy is singing, here are the lyrics to "Killer Tune"... alien angel burning bedroom control complete drastic destruction evil education frightened frankenstein giant grizzly haunted hospital ignorance innocence yeah yeah killer tune
I just got their CD called "TITLE", which contains "Killer Tune". These guys write and play world class music. I can't understand why Capitol Records has not promoted them more here in the U.S.
Most Japanese artists stick to Japan for some reason or another. I mean, look at Itunes, how many Japanese songs are on there? (close to none). For some reason it's "Japanese only".
It's because a lot of countries don't listen to foreign music. There are certainly small groups within a country that listen to foreign music, but it's never something that has been mainstream, strongly due to the language barrier. Why there is a language barrier with music, I have no idea.
It's quite simple... every non-American on this planet with any intelligence wants to emulate Americans to some degree (usually to a high degree), and part of being American is speaking English.
fmmm. . . . that may be a good point, depending on perspective. But why do you think english songs don't have randomly interjected say. . . mandarin or japanese or french or sth. . .
For the exact opposite reason: Americans as a rule are extremely happy and proud to be American. They have no desire to in any way emulate the Chinese, Japanese, French, etc. Similarly, non-Americans routinely mimic and adopt American culture, customs and lifestyle elements, but it's never the other way around.
Fmm. . . it's kinda sad that it woks that way. . . seems like everyone wants to follow the examples of the youngest, most immature and invasive culture in the world today. . . I wonder WHY it works like that though. . .
Far from it. The United States is the undisputed leader in virtually every major category of influence, including business, industry, politics, economics, culinary arts, fashion, music, art, sports. Liberal/socialist America haters are always scrambling and grasping at straws in vain attempts to refute the global influence and dominance of the U.S., in large part because it is so patently obvious.
I left out a few other major spheres in which the dominance and superiority of the United States is clear and irrefutable... medicine, science, technology and the military.
Again I don't know about medicine or science but I'm about 80% certain japan is kicking America's ass in technology. As far as military goes... Who give a fuck if it wasn't for military this world would be a lot better off.
If it weren't for the United States military, your ignorant, pathetic ass would no doubt be living under a Stalinist dictatorship and you sure as hell would not be posting your opinions online, since that privilege would be reserved for the elite of the Communist Party. The US and Russia are the only things that stood between the Axis powers and world domination, and for 50 years post WWII the US alone prevented Soviet communist domination of Europe. Don't ever forget it you candy ass idiot.
I don't know about business, industry, or politics but our economy is in the shithole right now. Culinary arts, fashion, music art, and sports are all opinions of those who enjoy them. I don't care enough to look up the first 3 "facts" you gave seeing as how you are only using your opinions as facts.
I'm addicted to their music now

Why do japanese music artists love to interject completely random and pointless english lyrics into their music. . .

I think the answer is "What the hell else are you going to do with all those years of forced English education?"

Because the only culture America can ever hope to lead in is pop culture.
