The jazz in the background makes me feel like I'm in a coffee shop.
I can almost smell the frappuccino from that hipster next to me that would be chatting about how it sucks that there are only like, 2 thrift stores in the entire city, because this town just "isn't with the scene."
"But it's worse then that because he doesn't give any evidence or any logical reasoning to hold his position over any other possibility. It's just not compelling in the least."
Sounds like a description of theism in general to me. =)
It's funny. He predicts an end for man of "no flesh" in a future date just like the BIble.
We won't make it to "no flesh" because written in 520 B.C. or at least long before Jesus according to the Dead Sea Scrolls God wrote Zechariah 12:10 "In that day they shall look upon me whom they pierced & shall mourn as if for their only son." This person is identified even clearer in Zechariah 12:8 from a God who is loath to share His glory in this way, "In that day the house of David will be like God."
@rappjoshuac, "Adam (Man) Seth (appointed) Enosh (fatal injury), Cainan (the promised one). Mahalalel (Praise God), Jared (he shall descend) Enoch (teaching) Methuselah (his death shall bring) Lamech (the despairing) Noah (comfort)." Jesus' name means "Salvation is of the Lord."
John 1:12 "As many as receive him is given the right to become a son of God if they believe in His name."

Wow! What novel ideas! So this explains why people believe in Gods. Well....there is only one problem. If evolution is true where did the matter come from? It takes more fAITH to be an Atheist than a Christian.
Let's pretend for a second that there are absolutely no theories of where the matter in the universe came from. Your argument then boils down to "we don't know know how this works, therefore God did it". This is the logical fallacy called an Argument From Ignorance. It's essentially "I don't know, therefore I know". It's no different from someone who says "I don't know what that light in the sky is, therefore it must be aliens from another planet".

Hey Annusl88
The question of "Where did the matter come from?" Is answered by science thussly-"WE DON'T KNOW" This is why science keeps seeking new knowledge.

So it takes more faith to believe that an invisable man who created the universe and cares about us lives in the sky than to not believe?
2ndarwin 3 years ago 4
@2ndarwin
Well yeah, it takes no faith at all to disbelieve someone ;-)
