The thing that I appreciate about Bute is that his power shots come from below (uppers and shovel hooks to the body), the other guy never sees them coming. Too many power punchers depend solely on the lateral hook to knock the other guy out.

@Pirusis1 Also they are contractually stuck in the Super Six right now. Bute should get the runner up and then the Super Six winner. As excellent and talented as he is, he really hasn't done anything to warrant an immediate fight with the top guy and should have to work for it like the others.

I'd like to see him in against Froch. That would be an excellent, exciting fight.

@SeniorCiprian He is slower, and he seems more crude, but it also seems like he never gets tired and he's really determined to win. I think that's Froch's strength, and I never liked the guy before, but he's shown that he has tremendous heart and this unwavering dedication to winning.

Bute should win, but it will be exciting every step of the way I'd bet.

@landreev Because he wasn't invited to join the super six . They wanted 3 us fighters ... probably even more than 3 but no american was holding a belt.In order for the tourney to be credible as the best 6 boxers at 168 they need 2 champions at least one of them The #1 Man at supermiddle -Kessler at that time and he probably came with the condition that Arthur Abraham to join to since they had the same promoter. So for the last man in the s6 it was between Froch and Bute. Froch was chosen.

@WesT4u2 B.S. - Bute has great management, they're protecting him and you know it. Nice second rate opponents to rack up title defenses in Canada.

Then when the time is right they will cash in on a big opponent. HE and his management did not want to risk him with all these fighters and you know it.

I agree i would like to see bute v hopkins, or bute v dawson, or pascal. I think he has the stuff to beat these guys. But i think the toughest fight of the bunch would be dawson who is southpaw. Bute wouldnt really be able to land that liver shot of his. So easy on a southpaw. But i agree with u he needs to fight these guys. REAL TOP GUYS
