I know custom ones can, I'm not sure if a Mazda Renesis can though. Maybe they can, maybe not. I read somewhere that most rotary engines could do up to about 18 grand safely, but I've never seen it so it's just speculation.

@AwesomeMcTasty that is exactly why mazda makes almost unbreakable cars. rotary engines can handle a very high rpm but make a big jolt of power at the same rpms as normal engines. so the engine is never pushed to the max. when the engine is warm enough they can handle just about anything.

toyota for example had to call back 1000 aygo's with braking problems.

you never hear anything like that from a mazda.

they have a faultless track record so far.

Another nice vid, good job. There aren't many RX-8 0-62/0-100 clips out there! What rpm's do you find it's best to launch at? This one looked like you were at 3000-3500rpm, have you tried slightly higher?

Hi again :-) Thank You, i think arround 6000-6200 rpm is the best for launch. Watch the vid RX8 cosmos start (from: Klitsini). He do 0-100 km/h in incredible 6.1 sec (Factory 6.4 sec). He is very good!!! if You got time, please watch the other 8 vids from me too. :-)

Thanks for the link, I saw it and was very impressed. This is where RWD is so useful (compared to FWD) - if you can balance wheelspin with forward motion you can really move. You're not far behind though, keep trying - I'll be waiting for you to crack the 6 second barrier to 60mph (100km/h)!

köszi. Jól pörög, de fogyaszt is, bár kezd optimalizálódni, 11.3 L/100km átlagban, ami nem kevés, de akikkel beszéltem, mind 14-15 L-röl vagy még ennél is többröl beszéltek. Az is igaz, hogy ez a motor 3000 ccm-es V6-osnak felel meg, és azok is 10-11 L körül esznek.
