  • Climate Change is code word for Political change and taxes. They already have all kinds of taxes, but have no intention to include their populations in what is resource confiscation. The Rube Goldberg student Al Gore's plan is working wonderfully, keeps his house warm (globally warmed).

  • ...and it was all for nothing

  • And if we would only DEMAND DISCLOSURE of all the FREE ENERGY technologies being suppressed and silenced, 'climate change' would no longer be an issue of such magnitude.

  • Real subtle title, guys.

  • What happens when a volcano explodes? It tosses up a bunch of carbon dioxide. We need this to live. Without it, we would die. It has been recored that whenever there is a massive volcanic explosion, it doesn't heat up the earth, but rather cools it down. A global winter, because the ashes & carbon dioxide blotte out the sun's ray.Don't call it warming, but rather global cooling. Besides the sun determines our heat, not what we put in the air. That air is what we breath, that is more important.

  • Are you retarded? I mean really. Do you know why Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system? It's because of the huge poisonous clouds that cover it. The Sun rays go through the clouds of ash and bounce of the ground, but when they go back up, they are reflected by the clouds, somewhat like a microwave. If our planet were to become covered in volcanic ash, then the temperature would increase. Congratulations on the fail.

  • Before you comment on something, it would be to your advantage to look it up first/ History has shown that extreme volcanic eruption that spewed ash into the atmosphere produced carbon dioxide & a global winter. I just read up on it.That's why I was able to make a comment. I don't make comments unless I have the facts for it. We're not Venus, a big difference there & different atmosphere & clouds.

  • You should actually read more, while volcanoes do release co2 and temperatures do cool if a super volcano erupts, it's because of the particulate matter that stays in the atmosphere reflecting the light back into space, not "because it releases co2".

The fact that CO2 is a ghg and absorbs long wave radiation is a well accepted principle of physics, well that and it's transparent, which makes me wonder how you think it blots out the sun.

  • Actually it's a combination of it's extremely high atmospheric pressures and it's primarily CO2 atmosphere, the sulfur clouds actually reflect most of the light into space, but what little light gets through gets absorbed by the CO2 and insulated by the clouds.

Models actually predict a temporary decrease in temperatures due to the reflectivity of the aerosols in the atmosphere

  • 1) we put out over 130 times the CO2 that all volcanoes put in the atmosphere combined according to the US geological survey

    2) It's actually the particulate matter not the CO2 that block out the sun since CO2 is transparent

    3) ghgs absorb long wave radiation which keeps the atmosphere warm, if the light is the same, higher concentrations result in a higher retention of that energy that normally radiates out into space.

  • Since you brought up "air we breath" I should point out that due to burning of fossil fuels and the chemical reactions that take place that combines the carbon within them with the air to make CO2 by taking oxygen out of the air O2 levels have dropped by 3%.

Also at high enough concentrations CO2 does cause death, not saying we'll do that any time soon, just pointing out the irony in your bizarre statement.

  • does anybody care?

  • Yeah, lets' make world taxes and punish anyone and everyone's freedoms with the climate change bs.

  • right, you can criticize government's actions in response to global climate change, but saying that it's false despite the fact that it's a scientific question rather than a political one is the definition of bs.

It's endorsed by most of the national science organizations, it's been heavily debated for decades with mounds of peer review supporting the fact that we're warming the planet more than would be expected with the existing natural variables.

  • Please hire a photographer...

  • lol, i saw yesmen and their costumes;

  • I understand the cops busting up the yesmen protest as they were trying to storm the U.N. from the river and would be a major hazard to boat traffic

  • Please make subtitules for those who cant catch all words, many thanks

  • Obama a distinguished leader... ha.

  • Let's hope the climate warming issue is not corrected by nuclear winter ( Iran ).

  • lolol :D

  • notice how its like 90% women in all these protests.

Do I really have to say anymore?

  • What I'm hearing is, a protest rally is a real good place to pick up chicks. I like the way you think Slixors. :)

(I threw the smiley in because women fucking love smileys)

  • This is true and does say something.

But I am male and I want to keep this beautiful place we're living alive.

  • Better yet, the fit people will survive, so all those machines that need drugs to live on (because they don't eat proper fruits and veges, get exercise, drink water etc or are too busy or stupid to read up and find the drug manufacturers are stacking the information to hook/addict them on these drugs) will also be wiped out.

  • the Earth always wins, and it knows JUST how to get rid of a few billion pesky fleas, and will send us all (the survivors) back into reality mode and wipe out our technology at the same time.

  • Don't knock the volcanoes - once we have a slight axis shift they'll teach us all that only nature wins... and teach us a real lesson on 'who can create the most CO2 emissions"! I have graet photos of the Atahabasca Glacier over 30 years... and it's vanishing fast enough to worry people BUT.... why worry?

  • You know ll you people with your petty debates and arguments I say who the fuck cares? Nothing's going to happen in our lifetime so why do we even care? Let the people of the future with advanced sciences deal with it. I mean what possible good could we do? Yeah we'll drive more fuel-efficient cars not use as much polluting resources but that is doing about as much if you were to take a spoon and scoop out one spoonful of dirt to try and help dig through the world.

  • riight, and every generation takes that sort of attitude, keeping in mind that this sort of debate has been around since the 60's no one will do anything till the human race is more than a little inconvenienced. It also goes along with the concept of, do more now so more severe methods don't have to be used later.

  • Google 'The Great Global Warming Swindle'

  • 1) I've watched it

    2) which version should I watch, it was edited and re edited within hours of initial showing for being factually wrong and it still uses data that is known to be out of date or cuts it short

ex: the claim that we produce a fraction of what volcanoes do. Google USGS volcanic CO2

ex2: the sunspot count to temperature graph depicted

    a) has some fabrications from the accessible original

    b) stops at 1981 because the correlation breaks down severely

  • ex3: it uses a graph from the ipcc's first try at modeling past climate, the only graph available was from a man that got most of his info from northern Europe and that represents the medieval warming period, this chart is also over 20 years out of date so it's got the problem of only representing one region and not including the last few decades. That would be why the hockey stick graph was relevant as it takes world temperatures into consideration not just regional.

  • Now, would you like to actually read a bit from more primary sources like the US geological survey, the actual papers that Durkin claims to reference (who complained about the film misrepresenting him even though he's an agw skeptic), or even the study that the huge medieval warming period hump was based upon or would you like to continue thinking that everything you see in the movies is correct without study or thought?

  • These claims are all fabrications. One of the main activists on global warming is David de Rothschild of the rich banking family. Say no more! Who are you going to pay your carbon tax to? Of course they aren't interested in the money they're saving the planet.

Do me a favour. Follow the money!

  • Right, even though you have access to

    1) look up on the USGS and see that we produce over 130 times that of all volcanoes in the world

    2) you can look up the initial peer reviewed paper yourself and the updated version from that agw skeptic yet you choose not to

    3) that you can actually see the history of a graph and that the hockey stick graph was affirmed by the National Academy of Science

You still think it's all fabricated without any inquiry, you're not skeptical, just indoctrinated

  • Lastly I should point out that I don't agree with the idea of a carbon tax either, there's other ways to work around it, but I'm not going to stop accepting scientific data just because politicians either misunderstand or capitalize on it.

Do me a favor, stop using bad arguments and do some research

  • My last comment here.

You have been off handed with me in some of your comments I have answered you with respect.

    Respect bro

    peace

Last comment is yours - if you want it.

    peace

  • off handed? I merely told you a few things that are factually wrong with the movie you're using as a primary source and told you easy things you should do to verify if it's even remotely true and you just said that I'm lying without looking it up and proceeded to make arguments unrelated to the scientific topic while touting a movie as some sort of unquestionable gospel.

  • It's a tax con. Cut your energy consuption in half and they will double the price. The largest greenhouse gas in the atmosphere is water vapour, it forms clouds and gives rain. The polar caps on Mars have been shrinking, the temperature on all the planets has been increasing - is that all man made? The environmental movement has been hijacked. Follow the money

Google 'The Great Global Warming Swindle'

  • 1) yay shotgun approach

    2) the global warming swindle has received criticism for obscuring the scientific debate, fabricating data and misrepresenting scientists from both proponents of agw and skeptics of agw

    3) try using primary sources for your information rather than a movie

    4) not "all the planets" are warming, there's like 7 bodies out of a great number of bodies, not to mention there's been no appreciable increase in solar output, in fact the sun's been at a 50 year low.

  • Hey garith21

    1)Irrelevant comment.

2)False charges. The falsification of the science is from those who blame almighty man and light bulbs for the warming.

    3)You cite none

4)You are mistaken ALL the planets have been warming.

It's a tax con - follow the money folks.

  • 1) just because you do use the shotgun approach, you might as well just assert it's the sun, even though there's plenty of evidence to the contrary from NASA and other such science organizations.

    2) Okay so you think a movie is right and national science organizations and other such experts in the field are wrong, that makes sense

    3) that depends on your claim I'd have to address, the GWS shotguns a lot.

    4) right, would you like to point out the mechanism or the hard research you've done.

  • d) right, and pointing out that this list happens to think that doctors of veterinary medicine doesn't raise your eye brow a bit or that it was founded upon a lie doesn't matter either?

e-f) yet those would be fabrications, at the moment the only thing that really limits it is price atm, seeing as how I live in California as well I find your claim hilarious.

  • a) right, would you like to back that up with anything in science, especially since the NAS summarized in 1979 "we do not yet know enough to pose the right questions"

    b) wow, politicians are hypocrites, it's a revelation, how does this relate to the scientific topic

    c) that's very nice, but if you're going to assert about stuff you're not educated about rather than going with the data does that still make you any more intelligent?

  • D has to be my favorite point because if you read anything on it, you'd know that huge chunks of the initial signatures was from a fraud where the oregon institute doctored up their report as if they were representing the NAS, the rest are open to anyone with a degree of any kind, it doesn't matter if they're a doctor of veterinary medicine or a degree in any thing at all. That list is maybe a few people that know squat on the matter along with a bunch of other names.

  • e) but your argument seems to imply that without it they're unable to "strip liberties"

    f) like our civil liberties of?

  • a) that's very nice but no natural process explains the overall upwards trend in the last few decades

    b) because politicians haven't been able to do that without agw right?

    c) right so we shouldn't believe anything from any national science organization right? We should just wildly believe whatever we want

    d) you should read on the history of that very well documented scientific fraud which includes people that know squat on the climate and just have a degree.

  • 1) yes these people are goof balls

    2) Anthropogenic Climate Change is real according to every national science organization not according to what politicians say

    3) you make it sound like government is powerless without AGW which frankly I find absurd considering they spend so much time and money protecting the people that would be the most affected by the proposition that AGW is real.

  • lol, she pronounced copenhagen as if it was german xD

  • nope, she did not.

  • sounded like it to me!

  • great piece!

    gotta love Ella Morton!

  • lol'd

  • Thank god all these wonderful creative things and white collar meetings are going to stop the " apocalypse ". Ella has cool glasses .

  • Gotta love that suit :D

  • The Yes Men got owned.

  • god - all my subscriptions are comming together - parkour, greenpeace...WHAT NEXT!?!

  • Det er så måske også det eneste sted ;)

  • OMG, I have to get a SurvivaBall, how will I be protected from the comming apocalypse until I get a SurvivaBall? I shall wear it every day, doing the shopping, in elevators, at the cinema, until such time as I truly feel *safe*.

  • Epic fail on the water launch idea xD

  • I live in Canada.

    Bring on Global Warming.

    Fuck winter.

  • Amen brother.

  • Living in the north US/Canada is like winning the global warming lottery! Sorry "EQUATOR". losers!!!!

lol j/k read my other post

  • I think we are focusing our efforts in the wrong place.

  • There is no such thing as climate change. Their dancing around in stupid suits is appalling.

  • your grammar is appalling

  • Not quite true, the climate is and has always been changing. The big problem is, it is being presented as a bad, even catastrophic thing. Also, there is this huge movement placing guilt on the common people for wrecking the atmosphere beyond repair. Fear mongering it is called, and fear is big business. Thou shalt be taxed!

On the other hand, it is certainly a good idea to reduce pollution, to come up with clean(er) energy sources... If only because fossile fuels will run out one day.

  • I have been sent as a messenger from God to warn you that you are in Denial.

He kindly requests you consult the wise. Perhaps you might consider reading a book by a scientist?

  • You have been sent by the internet. You are a troll.

  • I WANT A SURVIVABALL! <3

  • ... and german grandma in tha upper far right :D

  • Lula at 0:12 in the far left D:

  • too bad climate change isn't changing

  • i want thoes suits

  • these are THE heads of states......they got info you right wing nuts don't have access to.....

don't you delusional idiots REALIZE that?

  • And why should they have access to things we don't? Why does their JOB give them power to rule a country and have greater rights?

  • To Commiedeer, well I muchly enjoyed the Know Your Meme videos and such, if you didn't enjoy them then why watch them? f00l!

But RocketBoom I do like the fact that there is some seriousness in your awesomeness.

  • Pause at 1:19. Green Lantern much? :]

  • To all the far rights in the house; would you rather Rocketboom went back to "this is so fucking stupid I can feel my brain crawling out my ear" documentaries on memes and everything else that's moronic and pointless with the Internet?

Rocketboom: Thank you for once again for taking the time to cover stories that the big news outlets miss or ignore and introducing us to people, organizations, and events that would have otherwise flown under the radar. I for one like the change you're making

  • its called democracy your right wing nazi.....

you and your insurance company death panels.....

  • democracy is mob rule fucktard

  • Cap and muthafucken trade. Puppet Obama plans to recreate Nazi Germany in USA. Actually, his handlers plan to fuck us all.

  • can you be anymore delusional? XD

  • Funny because we don't actually have a climate problem. Its all about money.

  • yea, sure buddy.

  • We don't. The climate is -changing-. as it has ALWAYS been changing. As it always WILL be changing.

Are humans having an effect on that process? Maybe. However nothing we do can stop the world from spinning or alter it's axial tilt.

The earth has become both hospitable and hostile to many different living systems over the epochs and that WILL NOT CHANGE REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH WE WISH IT TO.

  • The earth's increasing temperature has been scientifically proven to be both unnatural and related to our mass-consumerism.

With education and innovation every creature can be saved from extinction.

Deny loserist ambivalence. Apply your mind to understanding and your heart to hope.

  • "The earth's increasing temperature has been scientifically proven to be both unnatural and related to our mass-consumerism."

LoL. Money talks and bullshit walks, Anomalous. Let's see some HARD proof. I'm not talking about Al's pretty slideshow, either.

"Loserist ambivalence"? Hardly. I'm bandwagon-resistant. By all means, though, follow the herd! Sheep feel more comfortable in numbers. It's easier to make a falsehood ring true with enough critters bleating it.

  • Yea, in the face of "facts", shout out slogans! That'll really make your point!

    FUcking sophist. Get outta here.

  • I agree. In the northern climate hard winters kill the bug larvae. The winters haven't been as cold in recent years and for the first time in millenia insect lines are creeping to higher latitude's and altitude's. Entire cities have been built on information like mosquito altitude borders. It's easy to tell who has an education and who doesn't on these forums.

    IT'S REAL, THERE IS DATA.

  • yea, exactly! Being in Ontario, I see those fucking signs about beetle larvae killing the tree's n junk all the time. It's sad :(

  • if you're already starting from the premise that any and all evidence shown thus far is illegitimate due to "a global conspiracy to get money!" then what makes you think that any reasonable man can produce evidence to satisfy your hyperbolic criteria? Answer is that no one can: your mind is already made up.

  • LOL gotta love man-made climate change denialists. Dude, it's been scientifically shown to be beyond the ability to intelligibly argue against. which is why people like you come up with all kinds of insane rationalizations to do away with pesky things such as "facts".

    Keep on truckin, nutso.

  • @NwZ2

Its also been scientificly proven that your a dumb ass and your mom had incest with you.

You think just because a scientist (whos paied to) says something that its true? Also there are scientist who say its not. The media only shows you what they wan't you to here. Grow some balls then come back on youtube. TTYL noob.

  • lool @ opening with an ad hominem. Of course, what follows it is a bunch of rationalizations you use to reinforce your own opinions. Way to prove me right in your response, LOL. Game ova, creationist, err I mean, man-made climate change denialist.

  • nothing in science ever IS taken as such simply because a "scientist" says so. It shows just how ignorant you are of science in and of itself. Everything in science that is proported to be any sort of knowledge IS as such *because* of it's ability to be reproduced by ANYONE who undertakes the same efforts made in order to see the result (ie perform the same experiment and get the same results) This is one of the tenets of science, you buffoon. You know nothing. Begone.

  • Mechanized's mind is on the right track a little off though.

  • It feels good to have a cause! You get to have warm-n-tingly good-vibe hug-me sessions like the human sculpture event, or the wonderful pokemanz suit float-off. I mean, it really isn't DOING anything, but it feels like you've contributed to something, right?

Speaking of...I wonder how "green" those pink watersuits are?

  • Speaking of...I wonder how "green" those pink watersuits are?

    That's hilarious!

You fundies can't even tell when the joke is right in front of you. They are mocking those who think they can survive without all this fancy environment and stuff.

Of course you walk right into it... ! LOL!!!

    Boom goes the rocket!

  • "Boom goes the rocket!"

I'll respond by saying "HURR DURR goes the retard". I'm not a fundimentalist about anything. I didn't walk into anything, chief. This "humenz r baed fur da enveromentz..LoL!!1!one!" garbage isn't funny.

Everybody loves to feel like they're doing something though, so I guess hollow gestures still count for -something-.

  • I choose you, Enviornmental Survival Suit that looks strangly like a pokemon!

  • The yes men are awsome!!!!!

  • I want one of those bubble outfits. lol

  • Sorry to be a party pooper, but throw in a small nuclear exchange, a little tectonic shift that causes a title wave AND a inadvertant melt down of a nuclear reactor on the Pacific rim AND / OR a few volcano's blow and enough crap could spew into the atmosphere to give us a nuclear / volcanic Winter far worse than any problem of over heating. Got a coin? Flip it....see what You get.... then, do it again...........

  • I agree, but this is inevitable and it costs a lot to society. A lot of the major cities are located near a river or a sea, which makes rising of sealevel dangerous.

But sure, there are worse things.

Unfortunately I think that it's going to take a while to be fully sustainable energy production. And the best we can do right now is to postpone the inevitable.

  • Inevitable? Mater is neither created nor destroyed - it only changes form or state. Controlling global weather is quite a ways off but not within the realm of possibility. There are things we can do (but won't) to stave of that inevitability until we can. I will continue to maintain the best solution is to find a way off this rock into the far reaches of space where there are far more pleasant worlds with space for all to live in peace.

  • Funny, we totally disagree here.

Yes, it is inevitable, Because of the demand for energy, increased living standards in India and China (and Afrika as well). Combined with the state of technology and it's implentation.

We even need nuclear power to fullfill the need, so we will use the oil.

But sure, in the end we'll get there. No worries about that.

Personally I don't see much sense in going to other worlds. Too far away. And it doesn't solve the human problem (peace).

  • Funny, perhaps. Disagreement means friction which is necessary for movement. "Too Far?" I suppose those who 'will not' / refuse to / or can not dream shall be banished to a world of the awake and trembling from what they see with their eyes. Frankly I liked Waterworld. I just worry about counting my chickens before they are hatched - saying one thing will happen when there is nothing to actually say it won't. Including Peace.

  • We have different information I guess, leading to different interpretations and visions. I have dreams as well, and they do not involve leaving the planet.

I think if we can't figure out how to live in a sustainable healthy way on earth, we'll just bring all our problems to other planets. It doesn't solve a thing.

Well, you are true, the future is always a guess. But for this scenario (oil and climate change) not to come true, something really big needs to happen.

  • Unfortunately he only knew of one civilization but I think based on the standard model of the universe he's probably close to spot on:

All civilizations become either spacefaring or extinct. - Carl Sagan

  • the costumes are dumb.

  • HURRAY, our taxes are going to go up a shit ton if it passes. Fuck the future if the climate is a big problem, I don't feel there is one.

  • YAY! More Ella Morton!! :)

  • LOOK IN THE BACKGROUND AT 1:11 that woman is shaking a baby?

  • Some interesting ideas, thanks ROCKETBOOM!

  • again with the police ruining harmless protests

  • wannabe prophets are yes men. fake balls of survival in the pigs waters.

  • And it's all YOUR FAULT. Go and BUY green shit and VOTE for green motherfuckers because only then will EVERYBODY been saved. If you don't give money/votes to the leaders in industry and politics, you are a bad person and society must condemn you.

CO2 is a load of shit, cars are only responsible for 7% of total CO2 emission where as electricity and mining go for as much as 40%.

But nobody wonders why you should buy green cars, everybody just does it.

  • Ever heard of Smog ?

  • Do you know basic meteorology? It only appeares in industrialized cities, partly because of the traffic but mostly because of the industry. That's the way it was taught to me. :)

  • 7% is alot

  • Agreed, it depends on the scale. But on that same scale human emission (=air we breathe out) was at 3%, just to give you a bit of a view.

So... 40% goes to electricity and mining people...

  • Volcanoes and dying plants/animals cause most of the the co2 in the world, plus... water vapor takes up 97% of green house gases... so really these people are just fucking with us.

  • 1) according to the USGS we produce more than 130 times the amount that volcanoes produce

    2) the relative amount that nature gives off is about the same as it absorbs

    3) Water vapor stays in relative equilibrium unless temperature increases first.

    4) if you want an analogy think of it as the earth having a relatively balanced ghg budget and we're just breaking the bank

  • erg... 72% not 97%...

  • People criticize coal burning power generation all the time. Just because YOU haven't taken the time to read the actual criticisms means nothing. And furthermore, what is your point? Are you suggesting we do nothing? If CO2 is mostly being driven by industry, as it is, then shouldn't you be pushing for MORE reduction in that area, not less? Denial is a river in Africa, my friend.

  • Denial, river in Africa? Don't know where you're going with that, but anyway:

As for the CO2, there are lots and lots of studies regarding the natural phenomenon of climate change. I don't think it's right to go with one which hasn't been proven to be the only one. Infact, a major magazine once turned down a 2 year study on an alternative cause for climate change, just because it would stop the blind belief in CO2.

Oh and as for the coal criticisms: I didn't say anything about coal... :S

  • Search any scientific journal. Major magazines are of 0% value in scientific debate. Try browsing Science or Nature, the top journals.

  • Btw (new comment because of character count ;) ), my point is that most environmental things aren't very environmental at all. It's mostly a trick to lure you into buying things that really don't make a difference. I think it's wrong of our governments to endource such purchases and to condemn people that don't "go green". Don't you think this green hypocrisy has lasted long enough? Every car manufacturer nowadays is making green models just because that's where the money is!

  • 1) yeah people should actually do research to see what's worth investing in, like hydrogen fuel cells and corn ethanol are a couple of the stupidest ideas ever to try and pander to big business and feign being environmentally friendly and efficient.

    2) how is this at all relevant to whether agw is real or not =P

  • So should we scrap capitalism? Making something profitable does not necessarily make it invalid. I hope positive environmental policy and technology becomes very profitable. I really do. It is the only way to incentivise it in a market economy.

  • 1) you should put it into perspective of what we produce, because nature's in relative balance of what it emits and sequesters. It's the equivalent of having a balanced budget and then throwing on more debt every year over what you make.

    2) great so we can't buy low emission products and push for greener energy/industry because?

  • 1) Exactly, yet the information gathered from investigation of old polar ice (If you don't know what I'm talking about, just google "Vostok station") teaches us that nature has always known swings in CO2-levels.

    2) I'm not saying there is no possibility that CO2 can be excluded as a cause, but until that has been proven, I see no reason to buy green crap.

But you're right, if CO2 ís the only cause and climate change isn't natural, we should buy/invest in real green technology (not green crap).

  • Made a bit of a mess of 2 I suppose... :)

What I mean with that first sentence:

    - I'm not saying there is no possibility that CO2 is a cause, but until that has been proven, I see no reason to buy green crap.

It's getting a bit late here in Belgium, sorry. ;)

  • Except that

    1) there's plenty of evidence pointing to it being CO2 including CO2's basic properties which even skeptics accept.

    2) There's no known other mechanism that would account for the rising trend over the last few decades that excludes the rising ghg concentration.

    3) The only "real" debate in the scientific community isn't whether we're the cause, it's how bad the effects will be since we have no exact circumstances in history to compare it to.

  • kid with green lantern shirt at 1:12

  • Drasic climate change may not be real, so why do anything? Hey take a chance, Custer did.

  • What a hype. So they don't want carbon dioxide? Then they should run because that makes your body exhale more, and you exhale carbon dioxide. WHAT THE FUCK ROCKETBOOM? This is such a lame theory that was made so that they can regulate the hell out of everyone.

  • YES! complete and utter bullshit. Just another cause used to make money, make names, kiss ass and ultimately control us..

  • There are evidence for it. Not conclusive evidence, but evidence non the less.

The big problem with the whole debate is so unscientific, with both sides resorting to scare tactics, made up numbers (or rather conveniently picked numbers) and retorical tricks rather than presenting their case in a good way. There are intelligent people on both sides, who are making a good contribution to the debate, but they are drowned out by the rest (which is a real problem!).

  • I agree, we are coming out of an ice age, the earths climate shifts naturally, these are the same idiots that aren't pro-choice and want everyone to believe in jesus.

  • extinguished world leaders OBAMA are you kidding me that red head needs a hard boning

  • The climate apocalypse?

When did it become an apocalypse?

    wtf...

  • Very well-done piece, Ella.

  • excellent video !!!!

  • That kid with the green lantern shirt is awesome.

  • I think everyone is forgetting something.

The co2 levels were twice as high back in the prehistoric era. But they didn't have GRASS!!!

There was no GRASS back then NOW there is!

  • what do u mean there was no grass back then? there was too alot a dinosaures ate grass

  • Grasses only appeared shortly before the last ice age. Grasses also being one of the main contributes to the ice age. The grass took out millions of tones of CO2 out of the air plunging the earth into an ice age.

The ice killed most of the grass expect in warmer areas which allowed the remaining animals to fill the earth with more co2 and green house gasses. Warming things up over millions of years. And now the grass has grown back. Slowly making things cold again.

  • Even if I think you made a good point a have a problem with it.

At least here in my country... or maybe just city, things are not getting colder. every summer it's hotter, and I could swear that this year there was no winter but instead a late winter and an early spring.

    [forgive my english]

  • Well here in canada, as far as i can remember last winter was extremely cold and lasted just about up to june.

But 7 years ago or so, there was a winter where it didnt snow till january and compared to last year there was 1 foot of snow every week or so. And this year im expecting more.

If the weather for this year is warm than scientists can use it as a comparison and say that it is getting warmer, if its colder they will shrug it off as if it never happened.

  • Scientists determine climate change by the mean change of the earth's surface, not by regional effects. It's also the culmination of many events interacting with each other that point to temperatures greater than what would be expected with the same variables outside of ghgs.

  • hey...im happy to see that a large percentage of youtubers know the ridiculousness of all this green themed mentality. money has always been the true reason for all this save the planet crap....

  • The YES Men do great work.

  • I live in copenhagen and I can't wait for the climate meating. But one thing i was wondering about...How can we have all theese people in copenhagen?! It's a very small city. And just for fun: ÆØÅ :b

  • How wonderful, wish i was there, thousands and thousands of people hoping to change the earth for the better? I don't see any flaws in that! I love it!

  • I think it's awesome these people think they can change the global climate - really great!

I hear the next big thing will be changing the orbit of the earth by having everyone jump up and down at the same time. GO ORBIT CHANGE!!! Remember, Orbit Change is vital . . . for the children!

  • The "Yes Men" are LEGENDS!!!!!!

    Anyway great vid Ella...

  • What ever your opinion on climate change. When opinions can be expressed without it having to be a conflict, it's got to be a good thing. Great post Ella.

  • The climate of Earth has been changing for BILLIONS of years. CO2 is NOT a pollutant. Every oxygen breathing organism expels CO2 and plants NEED CO2 to produce O2. CO2 makes the Earth Green by promoting plant growth.

  • Let's stick you in a room filled with nothing but CO2 and then tell me how wonderful it is to breathe.

  • Probubly not good because you would die, but thats not whats happening. Thats what people want you to belive, the media, and companys.

So why would governments be talking about it? To stay popular, if everyone is conserned with climate then they should be worried about climate change too.
