  • favorite scene, thanks!!! I don't think it's just for men..this movie helped me get over a lot of shit especially my breakup. I love when he says "you wake up everyday and it hurts a little bit less and you wake up one day and it doesn't hurt at all." sooo TRUE! The future is beautiful no matter how hard the past is and yes sometimes it does still hurt.

  • Yep im another case. this was a good one to watch after a breakup. I like how mike starts eating towards the end of the scene.

  • I tell anyone I know that is brokenhearted to watch this movie. Great scene! Thanks

  • Such an amazing movie. It's not full of bullshit stuff that only happens in other movies. This movie is so close to real life. Amazing.

  • This scene makes me crave orange juice.

  • i love how even in a serious scene he still drops "you're money"

  • Classic fucking movie and actually has some really good advice for dudes.

  • The original script read: "Those guys are right about you, you're money. If I were that money too, I'd do two chicks at the same time"

Awesome little film and scene, anyway.

  • So fuckin money

  • i wish i had a friend like this.

  • dude i agree. my ex just just just left me and i just watch this fucking movie over and over again.

  • i just watched this movie for the first time, probably up there in my top 10 favorite movies.

  • "You don't look at the things that you have. You only look at the things that you don't have." - This line will save so many lives!

  • This was the only I watched over and over again when i got my heart broken.

  • "The scene that single handledly helped me get over my ex"

Samesies, bro. Thanks for uploading even though the quality sucks penis

  • @ThaATrain10 thanks man...I uploaded this 5 years ago, so cut me some slack ;)

  • @ThaATrain10 "The scene that single handledly helped me get over my ex"

All men who have seen this film agree. Myself included.

  • me too! legendary

  • Amazing scene, amazing movie. This should be like mandatory viewing if you're a male in your 20s.

  • 9 people have never got there heart ripped out by a girl.

  • @MattCollinCondon2

9 people are auditioning for a sequel to "The 40 Year Old Virgin" lol

  • "The future is beautiful..." I just might get that tattooed. Gives me hope.

  • "she's a sweet girl and i love her to pieces but Fuck her man you gotta get on with your life" ...that's what are friends are for

  • A little uncanny how I finally decided Im done thinking about this one girl and moving on, and then she sends me an email about how she wants to see me again. I swear, girls have a built in radar for when a guy no longer wants them.

  • @Tukee85 Yupp my x wants me back after ending it and as soon as I'm over her BAM! she shows up

  • i always watch this movie after a breakup.

  • Keep watchin this scene over and over, helpin me get over a breakup. To any girls watchin this, believe it or not, guys can be brokenhearted too.

  • @TheSuedeSpade1 Too right dude.

  • One of the best movies to watch when your trying to get over the ex. This scene is so true.

  • @Fogagia1 True. I watched this movie over and over trying to get over a break up.

  • @Jimmitz So I'm not the only one!

  • I've been watching this clip over and over for the past 3 months. Thank you very much for posting it.

  • Thank you. You do grow up to miss the pain only because it was there for so long.

  • You r going to get over it

  • Love this movie, really helped me through the breakup.

  • Man, some movies really hit the spot... words of wisdom at a time when I really needed to snap out of the funk... .. thanks.

  • i hate movies that make sense in real life /sniff

  • I agree with ohfenchurch, I'm a girl and I just love that movie! It's just so funny and touching at the same time. It's kind of refreshing to see guys depicted that way for a change. And on bad days where you're tempted to think that all guys are insensitive bast****, watching that movie reminds you that they're not all like that. Funny thing is now when hearing the dark notes of Jaws, instead of a shark it's the image of an obnoxious girl that pops into my head! ;)

  • This is the film to watch after a breakup. It sure helped me. Most other (cliched Hollywood) movies would probably have him getting back together with his ex, but Swingers tells it like it is. You experience heartbreak, you suffer a bit, you move on, and then gradually you recover and your life becomes better than you could ever have possibly imagined it to be. MONEY!

  • @nononsense123 AMEN Brother... It helped me too..

  • I agree this is definitely a guy's movie, but it can also be for girls too. I am one of them :)

If Sex and the City (girls, cosmopolitans, and shoes) to getting over your ex, then vegas, beer, and friends (swingers) is it.

  • Good stuff.

  • this movie helped me get over my ex, thank you jon favreau

  • The way relationships and the lack thereof are portrayed in most movies is bullshit. This movie is completely relatable to me. Entertaining and profound. It's a Generation X masterpiece.

  • I think this movie helped a ton of guys get over their ex's

    great film

  • This really opened my eyes and made everything so much clearer. Thank God that I ran into this.

  • As much as "Swingers" is a total guy film with the "you're so money' lines, I must admit this scene was amazing! It is probably one of the most terribly honest, genuine and thoughtful scenes ever in Hollywood. It's so true, everyone goes through up's & downs in their struggle to find love. When you go through a break up you feel devasted & lonely. You feel sad as the pain still lingers..but you know its back to work, school, etc. Then one day you meet someone new, and you move on, life goes on!

  • txItalian you are so fuckin money and you don't even know it.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • hell freakin yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • this one scene got me thru my worst break up ever. If a girl EVER leaves you, watch this movie.

  • Now I need to watch this video a zillion fuckin times... Hell I hate the end of a relationship.

  • omg its nixon from band of brothers

  • It's true, sometimes you miss the pain.

  • oh man...i needed to see this so bad today. thank you!

  • This is really money baby!

  • just got over a nasty spill and I've all been watching this movie nonstop to cheer up...Swingers saves lives.

  • terrific, Such an amazing scene

  • this movie is money

  • best guy movie of all time!!

  • its not just a guy movie

  • Thanks for uploading this, and I'm glad it helped you, too. Same here, I could really relate to this movie because it put it all out there like this.

Also, Greatest Speech Never Heard in a movie. "We made it! We are here, and everything that is past is PROLOGUE to this!" Love it.

  • Such a good scene! Amazing all around movie!! The movie has been like my life in so many ways!

  • it's almost worth breaking up with ur girl just to sit with ur top boys, a fat Q-oz of hydro and some beers and just male bond your way thru the night.

  • this is a great scene. ill try to remember these words for the next time i get my heart broken :P

  • Life baby life hop on the next horse and keep ridin

  • I founf this movie on cable by accident at a time in my life when I was going through the exact same thing.

  • I didn't follow this link expecting anything much; there's a lot of truth in this though... sometimes you forget how human people really are.

I miss the "pain" too sometimes. I mean, it's better than feeling nothing, be it indulgent self-destruction.

  • Chicken Soup for the Broseph

  • THIS is why all guys should have good male friends. You need your boys to remind you what you should do when the girl you love leaves you.

  • @TempeSoldier123 ...Yes...absoLuteLy.... Poor MiKey, but it all turned out good for him in the end. :)

  • this is a very good scene. i like it a lot.

  • terrific terrific scene right here. take notes kiddies.

  • still cant believe johnny favs went from acting in 10 cent indies to directing $200 million comic book movies. i wish he'd do another swingers, best movie ever.

  • girls man.........thell suck the life/cum right out of you..lol

  • fuck ive watched this like 5 times i just got job relocated left gf behind and we broke up this scene epitomizes how i feel makes me feel a lil better

  • Yes ron livingston nails it in those last lines. Its so true. I think the pain turns to nostalgia at some stage. I know that's how it was for me. You still feel but not as acutely any more. Its more of a dull comforting pain

  • Yes, the perfect movie for any guy that has gotten fucked over by "that" girl, you guys know what I'm talkin about. The last 20 seconds of Ron Livingstons explanation sums it up for me

  • I love it.

  • Gotta' love Jon Favreau! He's so talented!

  • Me right now! heh. Thanks for posting, was looking for this.

  • Bros before hoes!

  • this is one of the best guy flicks, i showed this to my buddy after he broke up with his chick, the week of i get a phone call hes fkn pumped up rdy to get back in the game and hit the clubs

  • Yeah I totally agree with you on that, I love this flick...it is the kind of flick that never gets old

  • He's sweating some lawn jockey??? Dude, you have a Cavalier and it's RED.

  • From a man's perspective this is without a doubt the best movie of its kind

  • Amen to that. I will add that it is criminally underrated because of scenes like this, and what people tend to remember it for is funny scenes with Vince Vaughn (though those are great, too). But, its a fantastic story, with amazing performances, and just scored and edited so well. Really cant say enough about it, and most every guy can connect personally with one of the guys in this movie.

  • This is my favorite scene. The whole movie was phenomenal, but this scene is just amazing.

  • This is one of my favourite films of all time. And this scene has got me through some of the worst times of my life. Just a great film about male friendship.

  • I think most ppl have been in this position at one point or another, and this is exactly how it is. Hoe's will come and go, but ur true boys will always be there to pick u up and take u to a strip club after. Thats y u should never put a bitch in front of ur boys

  • Couldn't agree with u more caneflush6. U should never put a woman b4 ur friends i'll even go as far as your wife also. cause u can always end up in divorce what is it now like a 75% divorce rate. ur friends and family r always there 4 u no matter what. I've been single for 3 years that was the last time i trustd a woman. Been divorced since 2002, I tell ya its hard 2 trust women these days. I treat women 1 or 2 ways like a queen or a ho it just depends on the woman and how she acts.

  • my friends and my family have never let me down girlfriends have though have 2 disagree with u.

  • Gosh I am loving Ron Livingston quite a bit right now...

  • y'd they remove it?

  • your mad peterzeeke, if u have ever broken up with someone you truly loved then you would know how much this part means to a guy and his good friend, seriously this part makes the film amaizing.

  • I've been there, and I was pathetic too. When he say "why wont she call" I'm like "GROW SOME BALLS" scene makes me cringe, but only cos it makes me see how sad I was. which helps make this one of the best films ever

  • this is my least favourite scene, he's pretty pathetic in this

  • way to miss the point of the movie.

  • I dont miss the point, he is pathetic in this scene and it makes me cringe as its supposed to. I didnt say I dont like the film because he's pathetic

  • i love this scene

    and this whole movie

    thanks

  • There is no better scene to watch then this after you get broken up with; this scene seriously makes life better.

  • just broke up with my girl last friday and this helps alot, thanks for puttin it up, gotta buy this movie

  • Buy it - It's worth it.

  • This is also my favorite scene in the movie. In fact, just watched it last night for the same reason (i.e. broke up with the lady). The best line:

"She's a sweet girl, and I love her to pieces but f*** her man, you gotta get on with your life."

  • briliant

  • CLASSIC CLASSIC scene. one of the best

  • This scene is money, money and it doesn't even know it.

  • Thank you so much for having this clip up. i really needed it after the shit I went through today with a girl I know. I feel so much better already, and its only been an hour since it happened. You rule. Now I just got the netire movie with hopes it helps even more.

  • Every guy goes through this at some point in life. How you handle it defines the man you will become.

  • fucking guy is an AFC

  • David Deangelo? You kidding me? That's one guy I wouldn't listen to. He's full of mixed advice. For every good piece of advice he gives, he gives 2-3 pieces that are bad. I used to fall for his stuff a few years ago, until I realized that more than half of it isn't good stuff. He also focuses mostly on how to get emails/numbers but doesn't really cover the topic of relationships at all. He should change his name back to his real one...Eben W. Pagan lol ;)

  • I kinda somehow agree you james..but some of Angelos stuff is good and sum of Mystery stuff is good.. But when i saw this move just a hour ago..this shit explains it all :D

  • i completely agree.

  • Heeeeeeyyyyy, I receive de Angelo's newsletter e-mails and his advices are the best stuff out there I have ever found. I improved substantialy my sentimental life by following his advices, and by the way it also helped me in other areas of my life. James for me you are seriously dead wrong man... and btw deAngelo himself says he doesnt cover the relationship topic.

  • That's great, but like I said, he gives a lot of mixed advice, some of it is good, some not so good. I do SOME of the things he says, but that's pure coincidence. I don't follow his stuff anymore. Getting numbers is only a part of the game - the bigger piece is keeping the girl head of heels for you ;)

  • Lol man, most of his advice is good... and as he says, EVERYTHING you do with a girl can backfire; his tips gives you the BEST and the WORST results... and if they went wrong is bcos the girl wasnt gonna go out with you anyway :S ... go figure women! :S

btw... his tips are centered on keeping girls attracted to you :D. If you want to talk more about this write to my account so we can share experiences, I am interested to know which of his tips backfired to you :S

  • awesome movie

  • ...sometimes it still hurts. This is the movie that all men should own!

On another note, take your exes to the new peoplescourtraw com site!

  • yup. David deangelo the dating guru talks about this movie in one of his seminares.

  • Fucking great scene. This movie is so real.

  • the best scene it's when they play NHL94!!!

  • ron livingston is such a underrated actor

  • Took me 5 years to get over a 4 year relationship. This movie is some realness

  • just watched this for the first time and its now one of my all-time favourites! good clip man

  • Same thing happened to me that happened to Favreau. Every other time this movie makes me laugh my ass off, but when I got dumped I was fighting back tears. Good fucking film.

  • This scene should be shown to every heart broken guy. Works better than any shrink could I think...

  • truth...I wish I saw this movie in High School

  • yeah, do that maan! ))

  • Please upload the movie.

  • This is so true. This movie speaks truth man it helped me a lot. Some one should post up the opening scene with Mikey and Rob. Thats a good one.

  • This movie helped me out when I had my first heartbreak back in 1998. Perfect timing for me. In the end, this movie is as real as it gets. " Only time heals these broken hearted wounds"

  • Real stuff the office space guy says.

"A real pimp keeps a steel lid on his emotions" - Iceberg Slim

  • This is the best advice, U do miss the pain, U r so money!

  • Thanks,

  • I just broke up with my girl two days ago. Because she cheated on me and left me to move in with the guy.I am still in shock, but the movie swingers helps the pain go away.

  • be strong brother. It is not easy. One day at a time.

  • Fuckin-A..

  • same here bro, going thru the same shit.

  • Guys like us are a dime a dozen man, you'll be alright in due time. When you're with someone else in months to come you'll see why she cheated on you, you'll be better off.

  • You posted some four months ago and I dearly hope you are feeling better. I too went through hell and back and then twice around. It gets easier. I wish you the best. You are not alone.

  • Jon Favreau was kind of pathetic in this movie he looked so depressing i mean yeah it's probably really rough breaking up with a chick but jeez i could feel a depressing energy with this scene.

  • bstep: It is a depressing energy, but it is so real. Either in a break up or when you spill your guts to girl you love, nice guys just finish last. For some reason, some women like being treated like dirt by scumbags (good or bad looking).

The look in his eyes...Not eating...Not sleeping...in a funk. It is depressing, but it is the truth on how good guys feel when they are tossed like garbage.

  • thank you!!! it helps its shit i already know but its nice to hear it from somwhere else

  • "Manifest Destiny"

    Brilliant!!!

  • My favorite scene as well. Best advice ever when dealing w/ a breakup.

  • ahh thanks for posting this!

  • this movie helped me get over my ex, u guys are sad trippinn

  • this helps a lil, but

  • In response to poobum. Missing the pain isn't the same as missing her. Pain is often times one of the main constants in self growth, so when you no longer have a particular hurt or loss you almost don't know where to go and what to build off of. He's not saying he's there. He obviously has relapses. He's just much further along than Mike.

  • i think this movie is almost a documentry style it is so true. there are so many great pep talks that work it is almost like a get your balls back workshop

  • thankyou for posting this scene. fucking brilliant.

  • Now it's all really clear to me. Funny how things work out isn't it?

  • 'you miss the pain?'.. brilliant writing, genius movie. The mid to late 90's were the best in movies and music.

  • I eat pepperoni that exact same way

  • wow i love this fucking movie and i can SOOO relate to this scene!

  • Yah this movie was therapeutic/cathartic on so many levels. Not just about relationships, it's about friends, and expectations, and false starts, and toughing things out to see happy days again. Thanks so much for sharing this. ^^

  • goddamn i love this movie so fucking much. These clips make me feel so much better.

  • yeh i love this film and it werent just the points they make, its the fact its mixed with comedy aswell, after watching it i felt briliant, like i hadnt felt in ages, and theres not many films which can have that kind of effect.

  • Look at all the pretty babies this place is money. class

  • Man, I can SO relate to this clip. It's been like 7 1/2 months for me and it still fucking hurts at times and I'm always tempted to call, but the fear of looking like the weak/desperate one always stops me from doing.

  • I did the same thing...I left and now I feel like Mike.

  • This clip is money.
