@MrDaveythewavey19 just depends on what brand. if they were all 12000 each, then it would round off to 40k, so yeah. but chances are, those are worth more like 4000 im guessing

@AlainahB Well, after a while when you're good and all and get to the point where you wanna play LOUD then DO NOT PLAY A 2 1/2. I played that for most of Marching Band, and got my lungs AMAZING with playing loud cause I didn't even think about upgrading reeds. Then I switch to the size 3, and holy son of a monkey's nipples I was playing loud. But yeah, it takes a little extra push but is worth it.

@TheSinglenator yeah when i started i went from alto to barri and was using school reeds, i then went to the RAAF for placement with school and they just GAVE me a box of 4s.... from 2 1/2. i didnt sound very loose then :P

I dug the tone on the higher part, bottom parts could have probably slapped the reed a bit less.
