  • Our military world has been a better place with you in it Sir! May God bless and keep you as his personal guard. Thank you for what you have done to inspire soldiers like myself and give me new hope this country might yet turn out. Ace High, Attack!

  • fuck whitney houston and her drug problem. a real nation would all know this man by his face and name. if we were that kind of nation we would not be a fucked up as we are. Hooyah Col. Howard may your soul rest in eternal peace.

  • GOD bless you Col. howard. your tour of duty on this earth is finished. thank you EVER so much.

  • Oh, by the way, Whisper, considering that the Gov of Iraq used wpns of mass destruction on its own people (the Kurds), I'd say there was pretty strong evidence that supports the notion. There also exists quite a bit of other anecdotal evidence to suggest that other wpns existed inside Iraqs borders and that Iraq was attemping to acquire still more. But, what the heck, lets just all call it a lie so it fits in with our narrow minded ideology.

  • amazing man.

  • wyzade Thanks, Will be looking forward to the book.

  • the book "Secret Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines" By: John Plaster goes into detail about some of the things this man did. It goes into immense detail about all of the men of sog, Special Operations Group in Vietnam. They were groups of 12 men or smaller fighing groups of 200 or larger nva, and winning. balls of steel is what they had. The book describes many encounters and fights the Green Berets ( Special Forces) had while in Cambodia ( where we were once told Americans were not at )

  • The ideals, dedication, respect and plain hard work that this man showed his entire life is something rarely seen today. If more people (not just Americans) could be like him, this world would be a better world. As a 4th generation military veteran, I salute this man, his beliefs, his courage and his life. I only regret that I was never able to meet him and feel the awesome presence that must have poured out of every part of his being. Rest well Col. Williams, you deserve it and much more!

  • Damn, is there anything this brave ol' man did NOT do?

  • A real American hero. Semper fi

  • Don't forget Rocky Versace, Dan Pitzer, Dick Meadows they were considerable men too and the great Bull Simons

  • the vietnamese fought for survival ..the americans fought for glory and pat themselves on the back to this day for a job well done even though they lost

  • @endracismguy Oh and thats because of your extensive experience as a Soldier in the U.S. Army huh?? Haha. You wouldnt know what we fight for, wether its Iraq, Afghan, Or Nam. You havnt been to any of these places im quite certain, so how would you even have the audacity to comment on a Tribute to a living hero like this man. "endracismguy"....

  • @11bravo1789 hes not living last time i checked and im not dumb enough to be a soldier especially a US one lol

  • @endracismguy Your not dumb enough to be a soldier, you have no pride in yourself or your country in that case. Soldiers across the globe wish to give back to their country, shit I'll even give Terrorist's, or NVA soldiers more credit then you. Atleast they stand up for what they believe, you wouldnt dare put on a Uniform...You'l just sit back and watch, and make comments on everything that happens in the world. So pathetic. Why are you even commenting on this Hero. Col. Bob Howard's page?

  • @11bravo1789 sorry dude im not a killer or gun worshipper state sanctioned ,fighting for freedom ,under orders or any other excuse ,to derive glory from killing people

  • @joehav0in1 I will try that next time , with a glass of tequila, sounds like you take them both the same way.

Cheers have a cool beer for me and Colonel Howard and Colonel Nick Rowe, God Speed and a Salute to all.

  • @joehav0in1 No chance, some of the guys would eat it raw.

    Schlangenfresser =snake eater

    Einzalkampfer=Single Fighter.

I can confirm rattlesnake is not bad if you are really hungry, better curried or with tabasco.

Said with a big smile. I like your sense of humour.

Another great warrior and human being Colonel James N Rowe should be remembered too. God bless him

  • heaven MOST DEFINITELY gained itself an angel when he passed on to the resting place of great and pround AMERICAN, BRITISH, AUSTRALIAN, AND ISRAELI WARRIORS!!!! GOD REST HIS SOUL! GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES ARMY AND ALL OF THE BRANCHES OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES - TRULY TRULY I SAY UNTO THEE - A GLOBAL FORCE FOR GOOD, RIGHTEOUSNESS, FREEDOM, DIGNITY, AND DECENCY!!!!!

  • Reaction To Snake:

A Ranger finds the snake, plays with the snake, then eats it. Force Recon follows the snake and gets lost. Navy SEAL expends all ammunition, several grenades and calls for naval gunfire in a failed attempt to kill the snake. Snake bites the SEAL then retreats to safety. AF PJ wounds the snake in first encounter then feverishly works to save the snake's life. Army SF makes contact with the snake, builds rapport, wins its heart and mind and trains it to kill other snakes.

  • @redthreemike Einzalkampfer (Schlangenfresser) trained British SAS soldier pick s up the snake, bites off its head , skins it, cuts it up, puts it into mess tin adds curry powder and cooks to perfection, cooks rice, invites Al Qaeda to dine, ENDEX, SAS 1 , Al Qaeda/ Taleban 0,

  • @carroj9 LOL...so they all rejoice huh...

  • a true hero. rest in peace sir.

  • yank

  • A true hero. Goodspeed, Sir.

  • Bad.....Ass

  • I had the privelege to be trained by Col. Howard while attending the Special Forces qualification course at camp Mc Kall, NC where he was the commandant. He was without a doubt the toughest man I ever knew. I often think of the things he taught me about being a soldier and how to live my life with honor. I will never forget him, nor will the countless soldiers who's lives he saved. God bless you Colonel!!! You are a true American Hero... Capt Brian Meade, 5th Special Forces Group.

  • RIP, never forgotten.

  • Col Robert Howard!!! RIP and TAPS to you sir.. I love you and I pray for your family when I can.. Your what every kid should want to become today!! God Bless you forever and thank you for your legendary service for our country and the world.

  • Rest in peace. Thank you for standing on that wall for all of us. You are a hero.

  • Col. Howard was a fine SPecial Forces soldier, Christian, and magnificent men. men like him encouraged me to become a Christian.

  • If you can't keep your remarks respectful and reverent about this great American hero please kindly refrain from posting your filth here.

  • This guy was great I heard about him before he's like my idol!!! RIP

  • rip col. god bless your soul, you were a true american. thanks for your sacrifices, now you can sing God's praises with all your fallen buddies .

  • This man would have died preadly for his constitution lets hope hes shining down on the newest army air force and marine

  • @cargitT0NY This fucking asswipe is not even American. HERE'S WISHING YOU A VERY UGLY DEATH.

  • @cargitT0NY Your a fucking scum bag. You are without a doubt the most pathetic piece of maggot eating shit that has ever slid out of a human beings hairy asshole. Rot in hell faggot.

  • just... wow...

  • wait wait he said you can only receive the medal of honor oce yet there are any men with 2 medals

  • @ken0is0gay0fan0club Yes he made a mistake, there were 19 who received 2 Medals of Honor. No one has ever been awarded 3. Any one who is on the Medal of Honor Roll also recieves an additional 1027 dollars over what there pension is already. This medal carries with it a lot of clout, Bob Howard was a full bird colonel if he was to, say have a General walk up to him, the General salutes him first, not the other way around.

  • remowil55

With the Congressional Act of July 9, 1918 it was further clarified in September, then again in February, 1919, to stipulate that no person could receive more than ONE Medal of Honor. Previously there had been 19 DOUBLE AWARDS of the Medal, but hereafter, whole these were the provisions for second or consecutive awards of lesser medals to be made and noted with appropriate ribbon devices, no more than ONE Medal of Honor could be awarded.

  • @springer94 Wrong. The law was that only one can be awarded for an individual act of valor from the same service. For example in a battle, a Marine is witnessed performing several acts of valor and is nominated for each act, he can only be awarded one medal for the battle from the Navy. He can still receive one from the Army or Air Force if the action was in direct support of the other services.

  • @springer94 Cont. Example. If the pilot int eh Blackhawk down episode were Air Force, the 2 Army Snipers could have been nominated by both services and received the awards from both services. If they had lived ribbons would have second award star. When medals are worn they would have worn both as they are different medals.

  • too bad men like these fight for the now amoral and corrupt fascist (corporate controled) US government, and dont even know how many billionaires they elevate to the level of trillionaires each year literaly with their blood and guts, fighting for commodities such as oil in Iraq or natural gas and copper in Afghanistan

  • gonna need more soilders like this in war world 3

  • I thank Col Bob Howard for his service to this nation. An AMERICAN HERO !! Come on ladies, lets raise our sons like Bob Howard ! Lets stop raising sissies, limp wristed, no backbone, over-weight, out of shape, sit in front of the TV and play video games and eat potato chips and drink kool-aid, this goes for both boys and girls.

  • Great man, true America Hero. Although Brian Williams is wrong on the Medal of Honor, you can receive as many as they see fit. There are no triple MoH recipients there have been several double MoH's awarded.

  • hooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

  • God bless you American Warrior...Semper Fi

    T

  • thats a fuckin stud

  • god bless you sir and thank you for your service. you definitely freed the oppressed and led all the way......ALL THE WAY!

  • This guy is a true American hero. A Special Forces soldier and a Ranger. This guy set the example of what an American soldier should strive to be. When I heard of all of his accomplishments and found out he was a Green Beret, it didn't surprise me. I wish I would have had the honor to be in his presence. He will surely be missed.

  • He will be guarding the streets of heaven....rest in peace Green Beret!

  • my dad served with howard on recon team colordao, which was one of SOG's multiple Recon Teams, he used to tell that howard was a soldiers soldier

  • Comment removed

  • Rest in Peace Brave Man.

  • This man is so decorated his list of awards/medals won't even begin to fit within the '500 character count' limit youtube has...

One of his last interviews he's complaining about a pc of shrapnel that was coming out from his torso under his arm that very morning.....

If this man wore all his medals and fell into a swimming pool unconscious it would take 2 lifeguards to haul the combined weight out..lol.

  • men like Colonel Howard are why i was proud to have worn the uniform...

  • if the USA had one hundred bob howards we could wrap everything up in afghanistan in a month and get all our troops home.

  • Bob Howard - Thank You for Your Service.

  • This is a True Hero. not any of these pansy cry baby athletes or TV reality stars kids worship these days. I think a 10 page report on medal of honor winners should be mandatory to graduate high school in this country. Damn fine american.... For those that fought for it....freedom has a taste the others will never know.....

  • God Bless Bob Howard...an American Patriot of the highest order!!!

  • Read the wikipedia page for this guy. Awesome, what a man!

  • Old soldiers never die; they just fade away. -General Douglas MacArthur-

    CPT M

    RLTW!!!

  • Rest In Peace Sir, may we meet again at the Rallying Point with the Great Ranger in the Sky.

    Rangers Lead the Way!!!

  • @BUGSY00 Hooah!!!

  • @BUGSY00 I think he was a Green Beret.

  • BOB was a super soldier bad ass !!

  • This was a man whose values, ideals, and beliefs this country was built on. Wonder why the media could not broadcase his funeral like they did M Jackson, for example. It is a shame our country values overpaid, spoiled, moral-less actors and athletes more than people like Col Howard who gave so much to his country. God bless Col Howard and his family and all that they sacrificed for this country.

  • Don't let your hate get the best of you. Could be out of respect for his family? Maybe they wanted a private funeral. MSNBC did what they could to honor a true hero.

I do agree, God bless Bob Howard

  • I would have tuned in for that funeral! Well said

  • @noles1949 correct but even if if he wouldnt have had the medal of honnor officers dot need to salute other officers unless reporting to them

  • @ken0is0gay0fan0club Note sure what you meant. Officers regardless of service in uniform outdoors -- such as walking on sidewalk -- salute each other with the junior rank saluting first. Enlisted personnel do not salute each other but salute all officers outside except in certain work situation (ship duty, flight line maintenance, troop formation, etc.)

However, the MOH is saluted when visible regardless of the person's rank or dress. It is appropriate to salute the MOH in all situations.

  • @noles1949 That was a perfect comment.

  • @noles1949 Noles..you said it best.. our values reveal our minds..America needs to pull their heads out of their ass..a country that idolizing morons. I salute Col. Howard.

  • Bless Col Howard and his family. Thank you for your service.

  • This is the kind of man that American children should look to - not men like Tiger Woods, or Alex Rodriguez, or Michael Jackson, or Michael Jordan, or Brad Pitt. Colonel Howard is a real American hero.

  • Bravo, RatFan...I agree. If the media spent half as much time covering men like Col Howard, rather than these overpaid, spoiled actors and athletes, this country would be a whole lot better off.
