  • GUYS!! This kid is freakin sponsor by Adidas!!

  • this is great, im surprised he didnt look for overhooks. i work overhooks to harai or uchi mata

  • EPICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

  • Extremely Talented young lad, Id have him boxing or some sort of striking training to go with it

  • His drops are insanely fast.. How is that possible..

  • you son will kick my ass all over the mats

  • Its pretty obvious that this kid is the man. Anyone who feels otherwise is lacking sanity. Great going Anthony!!!

  • Drop seio nage :)

  • "Read his kuzushi".... Damn iPhone editing my text

  • That wrestler has no clue how to read this guys, he has fallin for the same tricks a few times

  • The kids like a young Karo Parisian! (Judo MMA fighter)

  • Iam ignorant of the rules of Wrestling, but as a judoka i have to ask if submissions of any sort are allowed?

  • @Crixxtachi

Technically, submissions are not allowed in wrestling, but submissions can and do occur with certain pinning combinations. One example would be the side choke (or arm triangle choke).

  • I like how the refs have no clue what to do sometimes when he throws a kid.

  • excellent execution.

  • SEOI NAGI KING!

  • "Because trolls never have enough" #foreveralone trolls

  • i keep having to rewind it to see what he did. so awesome!

  • have you ever thought of teaching him granby style, with his quickness and strength he could really hurt ppl with a granby roll to a peterson :) he is very very talented i hope to see him go to college with this

  • @MrTude 0:24 Two words: AMAZING THROW. Just from that, i can see why he is a Jr Pan-Am Champ AND No. 1 in the country

  • Your son is an absolute beast.

  • IPPON!

  • I enjoyed your video... I can see judo seeping from his techniques... I got into Judo after H.S. and joined the USJA. I had so much fun, and wished I could have incorporated judo to my wrestling just like i incorporated wrestling in my judo. Two fantastic sports!

  • kudos for the judo throws! anyone know any good judo gyms to practice at?

  • sombody told the last kid he wrestled to keep their arms back so he couldn't throw them.....HOWEVER I LOVED THIS KID!!! awesome to see a Judoka taking down wrestlers lmao

  • lols his opponents were like "wtf kind of wrestling is this?"

  • nice judo skills. keep going kid.

  • Great transition using the judo throws without a gi.

  • he played them so easily for that drop seoi nage, get them pushing and boom, their are done. i love that throw. im a green belt in the usjf and im almost brown d: got a while though lol

  • nice moves ... all the best

  • Judo just adds an entire new aspect of takedowns to wrestling, it's like the "2 on 1 arm" series or the "wing" series. Judo should not be thought as a form of cheating, Zach Sanders was a 5x minnesota state champion and if you look at his videos he uses a little Judo when he wrestles.

  • yeah!!!! what ever N!k0l said!!! U gonna make it big lil brotha!! Fuck the haters....

  • wow.... i never thought to sit and read all these comments. good shit sonnnnn. i love you little brother, you're gonna make it far. =) xoxo - your big, little sis!!

  • @Brandontrann

Yeah. A takedown is a takedown.....

Just more of a beast one ;)

  • This kid is very talented it takes a lot of practice to implement judo into American folk style wrestling. At my high school during the summer i was training for judo to be used in wrestling which is working very well by the way. But your son has damn near perfected it in my book.

  • isnt the first throw illegal? At least in judo he would have been DQ'ed for a headspike...

  • @DrVoltage1 how so? its a regular ippon seoi nage, nothing wrong with it

  • @ninjaworshipper He drove the kid straight down on his forehead. You would have been banned from this tournament and possibly a few upcoming in Judo. Ippon seoi nage is a throw that elevates the opponent (not drives them directly down), and forces them to land on the flat of their back, not the face.

  • @DrVoltage1 well ive been taught to do it that way in tournaments, if done well enough, the opponent will land on his back

  • And who said u can only do judo with gi.

this kid is really know his stuff.

    Judo all the way.

  • Man, this kids seoi nage is murdering people

  • Nice work, kid. Way to represent!

  • IPPON!!!!

but seriously, this kid is great

  • I'm a judoka myself. I've grappled against wrestlers a couple of times, too. This kid is great! He made it look so effortless. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

  • The techniques displayed in this video, i.e. the arm throw and the inside-out back trip, were taught to me the 1st year I started wrestling in high school. Judo may use the same or similar techniques, but that does not make those techniques exclusive to Judo.

  • his throws are great its just wen he gets to the floor hes not that skilled but hell be a great all around grappler

  • I'm almost 30. I've practiced Judo over 10 years. He is Great!! Thanks for the lessons! I Hope some time you can beat the crap out of me! CONGRATULATIONS!!

  • hey mr tude your son has a great future in both sports his drop seoinage is poetry in motion....and it seems like to me that mfxoodist has a little of the green envy monster in him.. my first love was judo too i competed for many years and as i got too old to compete i moved to bjj so i can carry on competing for another couple of years yet.. your son has a life time ahead of him and i wish him all the luck in his quests

  • Well done, Anthony.

  • Judo definitely broadens the list of possible moves from wrestling. Wrestling by itself does not teach enough moves: double leg, single leg, the dump, picks. Judo has so much more.

  • @johnyu484 That's so true. Besides, wrestlers put too much his weight against the opponent, Thta's just asking for a ton of judo throws, as this kid so smartly showed. Great performance by the way, he should try to aply judo pinns as well, like a good kesa gatame. Also, he should try uchimata, just left your leg asking for being taken and when he moves for it just bangs him on the ground, works so well even against very good wrestlers.

  • nice very very nice i wouldnt mess with that kid when he gets older lol

  • If i were that guy in black i would'nt lock hands anymore I would shoot in w/a take down

  • What throw was that ? The first throw? Plz pm me back

  • @woweeee100 I'm not a judoka, but it looks like a drop seoi nage to me. search for karo parisyan drop seoi nage to see a nice tutorial applied to mma.

To Mr. Tude. This is awesome. I'm learning some judo to complement grappling against a friends with wrestling backgrounds. It's nice to see that it can be applied well.

  • Nice Uchi mata and leg trips! Beautiful to watch.

  • That kid is a beast.

mfxdoodist probably got raped by a judo guy in wrestling. that or it's his period.

Who says you can't use Judo in wrestling? A takedown is a takedown.

My go to throw (the only one I really know how to do) during wrestling was the uchi mata.

  • Actually martial arts was created in Africa, only wrestling in Greece.

  • hes fast and very explosive... the other kids didnt even know what hit em

  • hey dude whenever you do the ouchigari are you using similar kuzushi to the actual throw (obviously not exactly the same since your not wearing gis)?

  • How bout some respect here. He's a kid doing a hell of a job. If that was my kid and you called him a fag I'd have to hunt you down and make you bite down on a curb you bitch... If you don't like my comment... Be a man and look me up...

  • ima use tomo nage at wrestling this year LOL

  • dude @MrTude, your son is buff

  • very good¡¡¡¡¡ full ipon seonage I love judo xD

  • it's always fun to throw the fish...

  • it'salways fun to throw the fish...

  • Beautiful! He has a huge talent!

  • pardon me for asking but can u not get in mount in wrestling... im joining my hs's wrestling team but i didnt wrestle last year because i was doing bjj and judo...btw nice throws

  • yeah! judo is a great advantage to have in wrestling

  • I have read plenty of comments about those throws not being Judo but wrestling throws.I guess there are alot of unaknowledged persons on the internet with little to no experince in either art form.ALL grappling arts share a variety of techniques.I for one train mainly BJJ which also has a alot of the same throws as Judo and Wrestling.LottaGrappling had stated that those were freestyle wrestling moves when in fact they are Greco Roman. Aikido, wrestling, judosambo and bjj are all grappling arts.

  • @19thaman79

a lot of what you've said is true, but there are some things that must be elucidated. Judo and Wrestling are two arts who developed alone independent of each other, whereas bjj and sambo are two arts directly derived from Judo. So, in other words, wrestling and judo have some similar techniques while sambo and BJJ have techinques absorbed from another art(Judo in this case).

  • @MinotaJJ I think you meant "educate" and all S.E martial arts were influenced by the Greeks, Pankration has been historically traced to over 3000 years ago which influenced Indian Martial arts by cultural spreading which later spread to S.E Asia. In turn, Its thought that Pankration is the influence of other arts which would explained by the similarites in techniques. Wrestling was the base for Pankration.

  • @19thaman79

That Pankration theory is very vague and controversial, besides it can't be proved. The most acceptable theory is that both eastern and western people developed their own martial arts naturally along the time, since martial arts came from the human need to defend himself, so it's a natural "instinct".

furthermore, That comparison is definitely NOT valid with the Judo/BJJ link.

  • @MinotaJJ Thats why I specified the word "thought".

  • @19thaman79

Assuming that pankration theory is valid, Comparing Judo newaza with the Indian jiu-jitsu is like comparing the car with the wheel. The indian jiu-jitsu is WAY more primitive than Judo's Newaza, whereas Judo and BJJ are visible very alike. Further, Judo and BJJ parentage is historically documented.

  • @MinotaJJ I never said anything about Indian Jiu Jitsu, I said martial arts.

  • @19thaman79

About that pankration influence, let's take fencing as example. Japanese and European fencing have a lot of things in common, but none of them took influence on the other. Since fencing is also a martial art, it applies perfectly to my point as well.

  • @MinotaJJ What I had said is fact based while you just said nothing.

  • @19thaman79

What you said is not a fact, it's just conjecture. There is in fact that theory of pankration influence, but that theory doesn't take into account the historical reality of the spontaneous rise of indigenous combative forms in a majority of cultures, as well as the expatiation of fighting techniques across many centuries and from many nations, so the concept that pankration is the linear ancestor of asian martial arts is nothing but speculation.

  • @19thaman79

And sorry if i don't make myself very clear in my comments. English is not my native language so i have a hard time writting big texts.

And by the way, i'm a BJJ purple belt under Leozinho Vieira back here in Brazil. Are you a practicioner too?

  • @MinotaJJ Your typing/writing is good, I give credit anyone who speaks multiple languages. I'm a blue belt under Alex/Chris Vamos, 2 of Joe Darces students, I've been training for almost 2 years. I completely agree with you about Pankration being speculation. Keep up the training!!!

  • This kid has the makings of a champion. I liked thoses judo techniques he used

  • Wow, that's an amazing show of skill. Props to him, I hope he sticks with Judo. Appears to be a natural!

  • Stupid title for this video. Its all Freestyle Wrestling moves

  • boss judo technique! but the kid in the red would have won anyways... he's way more developed than the other kid ( a great factor in youth wrestling)

  • thats not judo its all wrestling moves

  • @wrestling2091 Drop seonagae and ouchi gari.

  • well done kid

  • hehe very nice ippons, thats exactly waht i do, just that i do mma, people always tell me that ucant do judo throws with no gi but i prove tehm wrong all the time. i still miss doing morote seoi but atleast i still have harai and ippon seoi :)

  • He has the skills

  • WOOO SEOINAGE!!

  • all of them look nice but after each of his moves he ends up in a scramble situation. that cud be dangerous

  • this kid is dope, good luck in judo, wrestling, and whatever you do in life..

  • the poor little boy at 3:00 was terrified!

  • i guess i will see him there soon .... is he doing 48 kilos?

  • Mr. Tude I will start high school and will be a wrestler to further increase my ten year in MMA and Ninpo

I have certifications in No-Gi Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai, and Ninpo Ninjitsu and want to increase my training in wrestling

I want to treat it as it's own sport, but I thought that using your legs (i.e. sweep) for a take down was illegal, also you have to take a knee before a slam rite

I thought that Drop Seoi Nage would be the only legal throw can you help me on the rules about slams and throws?

  • i have to admit! this kidd is da shit for his age!! i wrestle varsity 135! and he has good timing with his shoulder throws and he could be state champ with that hard work

  • great moves....sucks for his opponents though

  • This kid is pretty good.

  • Is this kid still wrestling. What year is he and what school. I would like to meet with him and talk to him. I wrestle in cali and I am going to do both wrestling/judo later some collegiate wrestling and MMA.

  • @Supersmurf62, my son is currently a freshmen at Bishop Alemany High School. Wresting season is over but he will be back next season, most likely at 112's. he wrestles for fun, as Judo is his passion! He is currently training hard and preparing for the California State Judo Championships in San Fran and upcoming Judo Nationals this summer.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrTude your son has a bright future if he is still applying his judo this well to wrestling. Check out Max Schneider up in Illinois; that kid became a state champion caliber wrestler almost immediately due to his judo in a really good wrestling state. he'll have his choice of athletic scholarship when he graduates high school. I hope your son achieves as much!

  • @mfxoodist - Calling my son names, and saying things like if he entered a judo competition he would get his ass f_____ is totally not cool. Please have some respect!

‪If you did a little research or followed USA Judo then you would know that my son is a multi-time State & National Judo champion, and that he recently took gold at the Jr. Pan American Championships, AND is currently the #1 ranked junior player in the Nation (Juvenile B - 50Kg)!‬

  • @MrTude It's obvious your boy competes at a high level. mfxoodist is just upset that your boy made his look like a novice. The speed of his drop Seoi Nage is unbelievable.

  • @MrTude Dont pay mind to morons like this. Your son did great, and you should be proud.

  • @MrTude

Tell your son I said he's a beast of a Judo performer.

    I do Judo too :)

  • @MrTude does your son wrestle greco at all

  • @MrTude 1:25 IPPON!!!

    Your son is a beest

    Judo 4 ever

  • @MrTude No head gear?

  • @MrTude hay dont get mad @mfxoodist he must be a retard he dont no what hes saying your kid is skilled in judo and looks like good wrestler to what belt grade is he in judo duz he do jiujitsu as well i just got my judo blackbelt after what felt like 4ever and im purpil belt in jiujitsu but im a crappy wrestler but most of as uk guys r lol

  • @MrTude Your son is awesome, how long has he been training judo. My kids train bjj but im looking into putting them in judo to compliment their bjj.

  • @MrTude ur right man the only name all call him is a BEAST lol

  • @MrTude Nice to see more Judoka's mixing it up with wrestling and cross training with wrestling> wrestlers could learn some things for Judo as well as Judo from wrestling

  • @mfxdoodist

Ha, my bet is his son has accomplished more as a child than you ever will as an adult. Ha, same can be said for me as well! man that stings!

  • @mfxdoodist Hes a very smart guy, using techniques not generally seen in such comp's. Wouldn't you also try to "innovate" the game and be the champion? You have absolutely no clue if he would get destroyed or not.

  • @mfxdoodist wow that has to be the most ignorant thing i have ever heard....this young kid has a great talent his drop seoinage is a thing of beauty...he times it so well ..and all you do is call this young athlete a fag? wow!! well this youngster used judo in a wrestling tournament and from what i saw he mopped up with it.. he use a throw that is perfectly legal .....i bet the only thing you had to do with sport was pick up the towels in the mens locker room

  • @mfxdoodist

    Smfd. You have no life.

Anyone who knows Judo could take you down.

    Gf.

  • @mfxdoodist Man youre stupid. People make the transition from wrestling to judo and vise versa. There arent any rules saying you cant you use judo throws in wrestling. Hell half of my throws during freestyle season are variations of judo throws. I think you are just mad because at one of your wrestling tournaments a judo kid messed you up and youre jealous. Just dont knock it til you try it. Learn just judo things and use them on the mat. Thats what this kid and I do and i seems to work.

  • @Radi8in This is true, 90% of the throws I used in wrestling were "Judo throws: and I have never taken a Judo class. Its all about who your coach is.

  • @MrTude His balance and timing are great. From a wrestling perspective he still has some things to learn but as a Freshman he should be far ahead of the pack. I predict a State for Sophomore year and placing Jr. Year provided his coaching staff is good.

  • @Supersmurf62 you go to collegiate in st catharines?

  • @GregSK8Emerica No, sorry I don't even know what that is probably not in my region.

  • Nice throws. Good job.

  • lol he a judo boy.

  • im 26 and have 3 years of judo, that little kid is good lol

  • great shit kid

  • real question and it may sound stupid, but how come so many states ban alot of these moves in wrestling?

  • most of those are just simple jap wizards, ALSO a wrestling move

  • @aceofspades66 yes but judokas do it better, period

  • @migeru29 ive seen wrestlers do it just as good, dont be ignorant, just depends on the person bud

  • great vid but down in michigan all the judo throws are gona be counted illegal but damn this kids gona be sick his senior yr

  • hard to believe that is legal but very nice just the same, excellant work

  • mixed martial artist in training. too bad that shit wont work as well when he gets older.

  • 1:26 one of the nicest armdrags i've ever seen

  • Nice timing, good job on the coaching. "right there do you feel it" loved it. You can watch my wrestler, Bjj, vs. a legit Judo player. ME! haha. enjoy!

  • hope my boy can fight like Anthony Igne, the kid is amazing.

  • proves judo is better

  • no, sorry. this is a little kids tourament. you can pretty much do watever you want and get away with it.

  • Kid did excellent; he got a lot of talent. Do wresting tournaments allow you to use techniques from Judo? I'm not too familiar with the rules of either sport

  • Sure. Some techniques need to be modified a little, but a great many judo techniques also exist in wrestling.

  • most no gi judo throws translate well into wrestling but are high risk.

  • Loves his seoi nage - drop seoi nage in particular

  • good wrestler > good judo an try a greco roman wrestler you will get messed up

  • look up max schnieder.. he was a first year freshman wrestler and won state off of judo because he was a judo national champ. hes from lane tech HS in Illinois

  • that shit doesnt fly in iowa.

  • judo > wrestling

  • love how judo has pins and subs makes for more varied groundwork.

  • do you think that he can possibly become a state champ, with his judo moves?

  • It would take a lot more then 'judo moves' for Anthony to be a California State Wrestling Champion...A Lot More!

  • Well Judo is a good way to get there, considering you gus rely alot on stregnth and judo on leverage and balance.

Not to mention a brilliant groundgame and base.

minus the subs as we cant use them in wrestling.

  • @judopathoftruth

its not all strength. im probably the weakest person i know at my age and i still win plenty of matches, in collegiate balance is a huge factor, but the best and easiest way to win any match is through good technique

  • no.

  • How do you win a wrestling match, seems like they passed up ALOT of submissions. I am not a good grappler, but I did see plenty of submissions they just let go. But I think that it just isent part of the game? Can you submit or only pen???

  • you pin the with their shoulders on a mat som submission arent allowed that you would usually do in a fight

  • You cannot submit in collegiate wrestling.

  • yes you can.

  • So you're saying that its legal to use rear naked chokes and armbars in high school wrestling?

  • Submissions (chokes/arm-bars) are NOT allowed in high school or collegiate wrestling.

  • @tosxpert yes

  • this kid is pretty nice with his judo, i find it hilarious that no ones expecting his moves,lol,cheater...no but good shit.

  • really nice love it

  • good judo tachi waza nice seo and ko uchi

  • shorty a king im clean takin dat move (looks closer to screen)

  • Ippon!

  • haha good jobb if u know judo it helps in freestyle a alot!

  • Nice seionage, but a bit rough doing it on some poor wrestling kid at a wrestling match on an unpadded floor. I'd be a bit fed up If I were him.

  • Nice to seem some martial arts mixed in there with wrestling. My son takes BJJ and he uses an occasional hip throw and quick elbow escapes now and then. If you go to my channel, you can see some of videos from wrestling and BJJ.

  • I like those two Judo moves he kept on using, especially one arm shoulder throw (seoi - nage).

  • 0:26 the kid flys head first into the floor haha

is the floor even padded? it doesn't look like it..

Kid is good, he used the force of the attacker's grip, quickly gets on the inside for the flip. using the momentum to perform the move, allowing the attacker to lunge himself for the throw.

When he grows up his going to be really good at Judo, that combined with wrestling is going to give him really good take down defense.

  • Dude this kid is going to be good at GRAPPLING... Judo/Wrestling... and maybe one day BJJ
