The sad, sad thing is that even if we switched to electric right now, we're still only STOPPING car pollution. We aren't REVERSING THE DAMAGE.
What we need is the government to make a LAW DEMANDING ELECTRIC NOW.
If we can clone a human, send a man to the moon, make microchips the size of cells, then we can swith to electric dammit.

switching to biodiesel makes a LOT of sense economically and a bit of sense ecologically. Of course, switching to electric cars would be better, and moving towards more mass-transit centered cultures rather than everyone driving cars would be even better. But change takes time, and the important thing right now is that we work towards these changes.

It makes NO sense ecologically. Switching to electric makes A BIT of sense, because its only stopping pollution. You still aren't REVERSING all of the damage global warming has caused. And in the long run, any sustainability makes NO sense economically, because we won't have an economy.
