  • actually karkashi is a vegetable in Hausa (Nigeria) .The vegable is used to make a slimy delicoius soup and they are making a comparison of the delicoius soup with love. ''Kar Ka CHI'' is the one that means do not eat (masculine) and Kar Ki Chi (feminine). i hope this is helpful

  • Oh, I am so glad you clarified it for them. Your explanation is right on the nail !! Now, I know karkashi is Kano dialect, if I am not mistaken.I have been trying to remember what it is called in Katsina/Sokoto dialect. ( I am from Katsina). Could you help? I really don't want call and ask my brother. I pride myself of being up-to-date in the language despite being in the US for more than 2 decades. Save my pride!! lol. Could it be gurguzu? Oh, I gave up. Please help if you can. Thanks.
